Hi Andy. Can you list off all the programs that need to be downloaded to do this upgrade to the Samsung Tab 2 - 10.1. When I have looked there are so many different downloads. I am not that computer savy so a little help please would be great. Julie
Most devices don't need to pro-root if you're just going to flash your own recovery and ROM. Anywhoo, nice video as always!

You can flash twrp with Odin .. no root required.

A few new lines to everyone who wants your SGT2 (10 & 7) updated:
1) install always lineage os (its still on version 6.0.1)
2) always updated: goto settings/about/lineage update, download and install, this way dont erase your data or configuration, only updated OS.
I have tested noughat 7.1.2 version on SGT2 but i prefer marsmallow 6.0.1.

I've managed to get twrp working, wiped the data and rebooted the tablet. Now it hangs at Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 Logo. I can enter download mode again but not TWRP... What am I missing here....?

I've managed to get it working. Reinstalled the original rom and started again. I did not instal Lineage OS, No playstore or what... I could't get ti working. Now I installed the tablet with Blissmallow rom and it works fine now. Thanks for your reply.

i once tried to update to custom os with marshmallow but tab 2 became very unstable and rebooted all the time. also i could not overclock at all. so now my tab 2 is back on stock os, slow, and not getting used :(

Hello sir, I have GT-P5110 ready to throw in trash because won't work with any latest apps. I'm so confused there are so many XDA links and so many videos offering all different mods. Can you help me? I just need simple (stable and easy) rom install that will allow me to access all the common apps e.g playstore, google, firefox etc? I have ODIN 3.13 and KIES installed on my PC. I flashed many mods but nothing works - I am currently back to stock firmware. What do you suggest for simple easy upgrade path with stable google apps experience? Can you link me to the suggested video you recommend ?Thank you

Hi, i want to know that is this rom stable because last i installed Android 6.0 on my galaxy tab 2 10.1 gt-p5100 and it was very unstable it rebooted at very small apps because of some selinux. Plz reply fast

Hey channel48 - I have been trying to get this rom on my dad's Tab 2 10.1 wifi moving from ICE 4.2.2 to Marshmallow. Tried almost 4-5 times in sequence from TWRP, I am always able to get tab to work normal with OS but when I get Gapps installed, either all the services fail to launch or doesn't install going in loop about preparing google apps to install. Without google play store, its not worth for him as he needs to get apps installed. Right now, I have a working tablet and looks faster but without any google apps to move fwd...

Hmmm 🤔 do this copy this file to micro as card androidfilehost.com/?fid=8889791610682879528 then go back into recovery Twrp and do a advanced Wipe - selection will be System Data Cache Dalvik - wipe - then hit Home 🏡 icon in Twrp - select Reboot - select Recovery - tab will boot back into recovery, then hit install- select tab storage and select Micro add external storage - select Slim 6 install and when in Home Screen report back to me ok my friend ✌🏻

Step one is silly. TWRP install is the first step, then you have to put the lineageos via TWRP.

+channel48 no prob... I was using an old version of TWRP... and the ROM anly worked on the TWRP +... I arranged a way to install the TWRP 3.2 and downloaded the ROM AOSP 7.1.2, then installed it sucessfully and it worked... now I'm downloading the GAPPS to see if it works fully

Er gaat bij mij iets mis bij stap 1. Odin3 geopend en tablet aangekoppeld. U omschrijft dan de auto-root maar hoe kom ik daar? U klikt op AP en vervolgens op een bestand, maar ik kan niets vinden.
Vergeet auto root , download TWRP van de link in beschrijving , flash die met odin , het is een tar file , dan vanuit TWRP kun je lineage os 13 installeren link ook in beschrijving
Je zet tablet eerst in downmload mode , /UIT/Volume know omlaag+Power . dan volume op en je bent in download mode , recovcery mode is volume omhoog en power aan vasthouden en als je logo zie loslaten..veel geluk

Yes you can but mtp might have a problem ... so you wont be able to get to it after wipe - Do this install twrp - go into twrp and see if the tab connects to the pc if yes get back to me
