Rede Bandeirantes, simply known as Band, is a Brazilian free-to-air television network located in São Paulo. It was founded on 13th May 1967 by João Jorge Saad with the help of his father-in-law and former São Paulo governor Adhemar de Barros. It was the first station to have all of its programs in color in 1972, and the first to broadcast via satellite, being the pioneer network in the use of exclusive satellite channels for its simulcasts throughout Brazil in 1982.

The Band logo with the Brazilian flag colors is so gorgeous, shame that they switched to silver since 2018 (just like RecordTV in 2014).
I agree. It's a nice touch to the logo.
Actually, the RecordTV logo dropped the RGB colors in 2016, not 2014. And they also dropped the silhouette of the map of South America.

Surprised i haven't commented here yet, the kiddos at 3:44 are Paulinho and Ritinha, formerly mascots of tv Excelsior from 1960 to 1970, when the station closed. In 1983 their creator, Edson leite was hired by Band and redesigned both mascots. They were sadly pulled when Edson died in 1984. I wish they were still around.
Well I guess It made sense that they had to do it anyways they were fine mascots for both channels
Oh that's sad, I would love to see a newer design of them though. Like what if...in their tween to teen years like I wanna see some fanarts of them from their timelines

Jonty, this ident history of Bandeirantes from Brazil is... _amazing!_ The majority of the idents from the Brazilian TV networks are colourful and does have some incredible presentation and amazing animation, like many of the idents from the American TV Networks like NBC! Some of my favourite idents from Band would be:
• 1982 ident: For 1982, this ident has surprisingly good Scanimation and special effects for the stars, done by Image West!
• 1997 ident
• 2010-2018 ident: The CGI animation here is _excellent._ There are many logos/idents from the 2010s that are pretty good, even though there are some awful logos like the _bland_ Starz logo from 2016 (ugh). Oh, and also 19:53 Homer! What the hell are you doing here?
Also, the Band logo looks similar to the "Eyemark" logo from CBS from the U.S.A.
Thanks, Man! I definitely agree with your comments, and your favorites! The 1982 ident has great vaporwave animation by Image West, and the mascots are cute. Not sure what 1997 ident you're talking about, though. Are you talking about the one without the logo or the 30 anos variant? The 2010-2018 ident does have brilliant CGI indeed. The 2016 logo from Starz isn't THAT bad, in my opinion. It's simple, but it's certainly not the WORST logo from 2016. It was quite funny to see Homer eating the logo, and yes the logo does sort of look like the Eyemark logo.

The 1997 ident is the one at 11:00.
Interestingly the colors in the 1989 logo refers to the flag of the state of São Paulo.
19:53 During that period, Band had an agreement with Fox and therefore the Idents with the Simpsons, this lasted until 2018 And Besides the Yellow Family They Also Showed Family Guy, Futurama and American Dad
I'm Brazilian and I remember Band a lot, showing the Simpsons at various times since the morning, Afternoons and Nights (And Even in the Early Mornings Apparently) And if I'm not mistaken, the Halloween episodes weren't censored

I really love the 1982 logo. The design just looks awesome to me, and I enjoy the '82 ident as well. I think Image West helped out with that one.
On a contrast though, I don't really like the 1989 ident all that much. The animation is just... ugh.
I'm sure they were just starting out with the CGI technology, but it doesn't change the fact that it just looks sloppy. Catchy music, though.
I agree! The 1982 ident is so vaporwave, with some cute mascots. The 1989 ident is actually one of my favorites. Despite it not having the best animation, the music is dreamy.
