You know you've been flying awhile when you have flights to airports that are no longer there.

Thanks, was getting nervous for my first flight review but I realized its just about being safe and I remembered more than I thought.

Minor error, I think. I don't think ADS-B out is required to fly into Class D airspace as long as it is not located within Class C or under Class B or within the Mode-C veils.

its not necessarily a minor error, the regulations regarding that are changing every once and a while, and i have seen how that rule has changed even since the latest FAR AIM being published

Licensed pilot away from aviation for many years and looking to finish my glider add-on. Time to brush up and get those skills flowing again!

One thing I found out elsewhere is that some flight schools can act as an FAA Flight Examiner for your first time checkride... not just for your Flight Review. Times they are a changin` !

Thank You! I've been pretty socked in due to winter wx and have a BFR looming. I needed something other than gazing at a screen to get the grey matter on board!

Interesting reading about basic med. Asked my primary care doc to help me and she declined...fearing liability (affiliated with Renown Med in N NV). So take it with a grain of salt. At a local flight Dr the charge is the same for basic med & for 3d class medical. Just because Congress decrees something -- not everyone cares.

I need to get back into flying again, In 1998 they still had GPS dithered.
