Old Town, one of my favorite places! I used to work in the area, however, I'm there often to eat, , ride the boat over to Georgetown waterfront, sitting at the waterfront, take photos, shopping, etc. Alexandria, especially Old Town is definitely a gem! I wish I had a chance to meet you when you were in town. I hope you enjoyed being home for a few :)

I never realized how great my city is
I'm from Detroit but I consider Old Town my second home. I have been visiting the DC area since I was a child and always feel like I'm going home again.

Chelsea did you ever visit the Lord Fairfax house a few blocks down from King Street Blues Restaurant? In my 20's the Arial Family did a huge renovation removing paint layer after layer exposing a mantle painted black at the time of George Washington's death! It was amazing! I did the custom HVAC design for the Fairfax House before moving to Texas as a Professional Helicopter Pilot. Lived in Manassas, but spent every weekend downtown! Great video! It really captured the ambiance of Old Town.
Cool. I was born there, but never have been there. My folks were working in DC at the time.

Stumbled upon this today. Next month I am saying goodbye to San Diego after a 13 year stay and moving to Old Town Alexandria. I live in one of SD’s coolest historic neighborhoods (South Park) and slightly nervous of this transition. Grew up on east coast so hopefully I’ll adapt back to the lousy weather. Ha ha

Ahhh I live really close to old town and go there almost every week. It's so weird seeing people there in videos etc.

It looks like Stars Hollow from Gilmore Girls. The trees are very New England like, as are the historic old homes from colonial times.
