Hi guys, personally I still prefer the small airports where you have to walk across the tarmac to board your aircraft. I guess I'm still trying to re-live the simpler days. Ok, my brother, you are really blowing my mind with that little teaser of the bands. Hopefully, one day I will get the same chance to enjoy the full effect of the celebration in person like your lucky friend Rueben. Take care my friends and we love you all.
@@horacesubayar794 The only airport so far that I’ve been at in the Philippines with the walking ramp attached to the airport from the plane is Clark Airport; in Angeles City. Tomorrow night is the start of the Ati-Atihan festival with a beauty pageant at Pastrana Park. I’ll try to film the bands that you like my brother. One day we will be together in the festival my brother. Take care our friends. Love you both.
Kalibo Airport is a beautiful airport. They spent a lot of money upgrading the airport over the years. One of the best airports that I've seen in western Visayas. Glad to hear that you enjoy our videos our friend. Take care.

Happy New Year my friend...long time subscriber here 😎I thought that airport was always busy, since it's the main hub to Boracay...seems okay every time I come by from New York ✈but then again, there's Caticlan airport.Take care and be safe.
Happy New Year my friend! We appreciate your continued support of our channel. Kalibo Airport used to be the main hub to Boracay. Majority of the flights to Aklan province now land in Boracay Airport (located in Caticlan/Nabas Aklan). They have expanded the runway at Boracay Airport; jet planes can now land there. It used to be only propeller planes that could land at Boracay Airport. Take care my friend.
Majority of the flights to our province of Aklan now land in Boracay Airport (located in Caticlan/Nabas Aklan). They have expanded the runway at Boracay Airport; allowing the bigger jet planes to land there. Most flights from Manila, Cebu City, and Angeles City now land at Boracay Airport. I think because Boracay Island is only a 30-minute trip from Boracay Airport; instead of the 2-hour trip if you land in Kalibo Airport.
@@raymondking1793 Reuben plans on staying at least a year in Kalibo. He is part of our family now. 😁 We will be doing a lot of things together with Reuben. Take care and God bless.
The airport restaurants in Kalibo used to be a popular spot. Kalibo continues to expand and grow. I think it will be an expat destination one day once they build more housing like condominiums that expats prefer.
What is the deal with that "WELCOME TO SMOKE-FREE AKLAN" sign behind your head? Is smoking actually prohibited in the entire province of Aklan, or just at the airport? All public places or only certain locations? How prevalent are non-smoking prohibitions in the Philippines overall? Are any such prohibitions strictly enforced, or are they like the traffic laws (ie. pretty much ignored)? Do they sell cigarettes in the local shops and sari-sari stores in Aklan? Love these short vlogs, with the day-to-day normal life stuff. Thank you for sharing, my friend!
Most public places in Aklan province; smoking is prohibited. Specially, in Boracay Island. Big fine in Boracay if you smoke at a public place. I can only speak on Aklan province; I have seen them enforce the ordinance. Sari-sari stores and 7 Eleven sell cigarettes. Glad you are enjoying our videos. Thank you for your support. You're welcome my friend.
@@sgtusa90 Thank you my brother. I have not stayed at the airport hotel; so I can’t recommend it. Plus, nothing to do by the airport. I would recommend staying near Pastrana Park; at GQ Hotel or Lavero Suites. Rooms start at about $30 a night. Plenty of places to eat near Pastrana Park; Kalibo cathedral and Kalibo museum nearby.
You mentioned the airport went from being busy day and night to a trickle. But I didn't hear you explain why there's been such a downtrend in travel through the airport. Even though you can go to & from Manila, Cebu & Korea. Also why they would build a new hotel when the number of passengers have declined drastically kuya ??

‘Yellow Cab’ was popular in the US for 60-70 years. The company cornered the market. A complete monopoly.
