      ditto...camp life was a genuine experience of hard work and complete relaxation in beautiful wild surroundings

      @@dws5951 you got the marlin spike right through the correct strand. I was a timber cruiser back when you lived in the bush working 7 days a week until the job or jobs were done. After; I hired on at a logging division for 5 years as a cable splicer, choker man/rigging slinger as well as on drilling and blasting with the grade crew. Enjoying every minute of it.

    The seal barking in the background when you are in your room ...so genuine BC!!! A private room ...pretty fine...is that just for the fallers or in this modern era do the rigging crew get private rooms also ... back in the 70's two men to a room and $5.00 a day was the drill....and greatest food on earth from the cooks...quantity unlimited.

      Ya it’s the norm to have your own room now. We only pay for our own gear. Accommodation, fuel, transportation is covered

    Bjarne, did you ever replace the short block on your saw. Talk to Donny Walker about what I mean, because it’s a warranty problem that Husky had and Donny “might” be able to help you some.
