Generally, what I label a "remix" here goes more by OC ReMix's definition of the word than a textbook; an interpretive arrangement different enough from the source to be considered an original piece, yet references it enough to pay homage to it. In reality, you're right; the original recording was used, technically making it a remix. But considering how little was changed in terms of notation and such, it's also a cover. So I labeled it as such to avoid confusion regarding other works I post.
There's a mod which replaces the concert music with the Cutie Mark Crusaders theme song, Fluttershy's training music, and this. It also replaces all the Midnight Riders posters with Cutie Mark Crusaders posters.
