Evryone knows, this movie is Indian version of The Godfather. Whereas the Godfather is a rather calm movie, this movie with its over the top music and acting is an exaggerated screenplay of the same story but of all the copies that I have seen of the Godfather, this movie wonderfully captures the rise Michael Corleone from underdog harmless civilian to a mob boss which is Pratap Koli played by Govinda and Govinda is a very good cast for the role. I remember watching this movie on DD 1. I was just mesmerized by this movie.
Don't say Govinda apes Al Pacino! Chichi's better (and Al Pacino can't dance). 2:16:38 unforgettable scene! Furthermore, in Hollywood movies you would never find an interesting character like the one played by Paresh Rawal!

Evryone knows, this movie is Indian version of The Godfather. Whereas the Godfather is a rather calm movie, this movie with its over the top music and acting is an exaggerated screenplay of the same story but of all the copies that I have seen of the Godfather, this movie wonderfully captures the rise Michael Corleone from underdog harmless civilian to a mob boss which is Pratap Koli played by Govinda and Govinda is a very good cast for the role. I remember watching this movie on DD 1. I was just mesmerized by this movie.
