The beautiful, spine-tingling growl of this car's exhaust is THE reason to buy it.

The ZL1 and the Z28 are the best looking 5th gens by far. Some of my favorite designs of all the Camaro years

I think the better question is why would you buy a challenger?

I like this car, but the GT500, you just can't ignore it. Next year they are going to have 1 up them with 670hp.

John Harker...did you actually say the Chevy Small Block is antiquated? Please learn the difference between long-lived and antiquated. No DOHC keeps center of gravity low and I'm not sure but have the Chevy v8s EVER lacked for power? Yes, the new GT500has much more "tech" in the engine...makes it NO better...both cars are great and I'd be proud to own either. But I'll hold out for another Z06. Sold my 2001 when I went to grad school and have yet to get a good enough effing job to get my next one

lol the zl1 has won all comparison tests with the gt500. the ford maybe faster in a straight line but the Chevy is the better all around car. both are awesome though for the record.

AWD would be a significant game changer if you consider to what hieghts the mustang or camaro (could be) given there current power output and a new chassis to better suit the new components. But america really has to re-learn how to build sports cars, which it actually has little 'production' experience. The only two bonified sports cars built as sportscar from chassis on up is the corvette and viper. the mustang and camaro has suffered from duel agenda manufacturing.
