Depends sometimes some LC are just universally good and best in slot on multiple units Example Seele Lc being BiS on everyone And Bronya Lc being best in slot for her and Yukong and Tingyun maybe but depends on the scenario.
Any LC which has unconditionally easy-to-trigger effects are OP due to it's versitility. So far , almost all of the 5 star are good simply because the mechanics are easy to trigger
At this point of the game I value limited 5* characters much more than 5* lightcones, so I'm getting summons to get closer to them. I'll probably start saving for lightcones in the future
same here but lightcones do give extra damage to the character. although i like to get the character first before getting the lightcone so characters are first before lightcones imo

LC will always be the best option but you ONLY get the pulls if you are near pity guarantee to get the feature limited 5star banner. Also the Advance forward of Dance! Dance! Dance! passive is Very Broken like Forgotten hall you get a extra turn without changing the cycle. It is a very crucial passive of getting 3 star in forgotten hall
in hsr lightcones are super good. it is better than getting a character honestly. bcs they're a huge boost to your account. just look at those multipliers, on jing yuan's, seele's, bronya's, gepard's, clara's, welt's. also not to mention you can give the lightcones to anyone from that class.. we need alot of stats, and those lightcone bonuses are huge.
@@iliveinabedroom it's kinda different when it comes to hsr. Firstly, the weapon banner is 75:25 instead of 50:50 like Genshin and it might take a long time if you wait for 5* lcs to drop from standard banner if you want a specific lc. You do you considering your own account.
@@isshonsaha8673 Genshin weapon banner is always 75:25. Read again. The only difference is that they offer 2 weapons as their rate up while Star Rail for now only offer 1 which means you pretty much guaranteed the lightcones after losing your 75:25.

They will be getting more turns than your support after all they also have speed boosting capabilities built into their kit. For slower dps like Jing Yuan it will be great. And it's gacha you might get it and you might not get it like the sac sword.
Increased Damage Is different from "More Damage", More damage is applied after every other buff so it would be the total calculation of %attack and Increased damage and then you add more damage, at least that is the way it generally is in most games, and that would make it the biggest multiplier in the game, making bronya's lightcone insane.
you can use commutative law of multiplication here. It doesnt matter, if u add more dmg first then increasing damage they are both multiplicative or am I misunderstanding something?

@@cuakman hoyo games apply damage % after the atk and crit values either way. Idk what skills you would even be referring to that apply "more damage" as an effect buff. Essentially, bronya's skill and this LC are doing the same exact thing, the LC stacks with it though so it is a slight improvement. The only other wordings that matter for this game that give "true" value increase is debuffing the enemy with increased damage taken, def decreases on the enemy, and enemy damage reduction decreases. This is why Welt and Silver Wolf are going to scale very hard with dps units that are built well.

Lightcones are more worth than buying wishes because from 600 you will only get 30 wishes and buying a lightcone is considered ~80 wishes as per the banner. Which also calculates that you need 1600 of those to get 80 wishes whereas you can buy 2 lightcones and eventually use your wishes to get more lightcones in the permanent banner or lightcone one.
its not really about the net gain in 5*'s that Moga is talking about. Its the free pity that is built towards a limited character that ISNT on the standard banner. Eventually youll have all of the standard lightcones and characters just from losing pity (assuming you play for long enough), but you will never have all the limited characters.
i say use the currency if u need like 10 summons to pity a 5 star that you want. I've used mine on Seele needed 15 summons before she went away so i dnt regret a thing. Lightcones are the better value for sure but dnt be afraid to use some of the emergency funds to get the 5 star u want.
@@oddonyx1755 Unfortunately you can only get 5* lightcones from standard / lightcone banner so you would need to be extremely lucky or pull on lightcone banner to get all the 5* standard lightcones. In genshin after like 2 years, people still dont even have half of the standard weapons as an example.
@@kylepham8333 I understand, but lightcones and weapons in genshin function very differently. In genshin the weapons banner is only for whales, and mostly a scam for everyone else. Where as in HSR, its easier to pull the lightcone than the weapon, with a 75% chance that the 5 star will be a lightcone. That means much more people will be pulling on it, even FTP or dolphins. Im not saying that spending them on tickets is more valuable than the light cone, I am just proving a more accurate insight to what Moga was trying to say. Also, just a quick aside, I have gotten 3 5 stars from the standard banner and all of them have been lightcones. Seems the rates are different on the standard banner from genshin as well
I will hoard the Starlight and wait and see which 5* Light Cones I get from standard banner. Yes more pulls seem better but unless you are lucky in your pulls, 30 pulls don't get you a 5* Light Cone. It's anyone's choice if they want to beef up their favorite unit or go for extra pulls for a limited character, none if the choices is a bad one.
True! It happened to me just yesterday, Clara's lightcone was one of those I was considering getting once I had enough starlight but I ended up getting him at 40 pity on the standard banner.
Personally i would use it for lightcones bc it’s a guaranteed upgrade rather than gamba, although you can argue you get pity, i find that you actually get a bunch of wishes just playing the game
if the LC are in standard banner, it’s not worth it honestly since we will “”eventually”” get them. I already hit pity on ‘something irreplaceable’ but i forgot if it was on standard or limited banner tho (assuming it is on standard).
@@Gummeyy that "eventually" could easily be more than 5 years, considering having both characters and light cones in the pool as well as chance of getting dupes. I'm also taking into account slow gain of standard banner tickets.

I did get lucky since I got Gepard, Bronya's LC and Bronya's E1 from standard (got Bronya on pity in novice banner), and so the LC isn't wasted (but Bronya's LC is honestly good on any harmony character) but I can totally see myself getting a LC which would be totally useless for my character roster
I think putting pulls towards another character is very important, but unlike with the Light Cones limited characters are guaranteed at some point. You may never get the five star LC you want just pulling occasionally on the standard banner. In my pulls on standard I’ve gotten Bailu’s LC twice, and I don’t have a Bailu. That could have been any character or any LC, which is why if you want something in specific buying it from the shop is better than waiting on getting lucky.
only Bronya and Gepard lc worth the point imo, would rather go for pulls other than that, unless u are a whale and wanna max a standard lc. Bronya is good because of the Err, that thing make her ult 1 turn faster and somewhat solve her skill point problem, for Gepard it literally a better Landau's Choice since not only it increase survivability for ur tanker and draw aggro, it also give their teammate bigger shield by adding alot of def, ehr on top of that for easier taunt/cc and easier to trigger bonus 15% def by achieve 50% ehr on bolobog 2 piece set, which for even more shield
Gepards is good if you actually want your Preservation character to be hit, if you would rather the enemies hit one of the other characters then its really really bad.
I'm definitely going for 30 pulls. Yes 5* cone is great, but there are good 4* substitutes. And you might accidentally pull the 5* cones later too. I currently have two of Clara's cone i have no use for, for example. 30 pulls is such a huge value. And with the starlight we'd get back from those summons, maybe it's like a 35 pull in total?
But that's the problems, you might get it or not. 30 pulls might be good for early game but late game not so much. Learn from GI, you can't always built new character in the long run. And the 4* Lightcone in this game have a huge red flag is that it doesn't provide good enough effect, in Genshin you can used some 3* weapon for it main/sub stat but HSR doesn't have that, the light cone system heavily rely on the effect not the stat.
There plenty of great 4 star replacements that you can superimpose that may have even better value than a non superimposed one. Better go for more pulls. Especially with the coming banners
Depends, I got Clara and her BiS My March and Gepard are sharing the lightcone from Herta's store, the 5* lightcone is definitely way more valuable than 30 pulls
Eh, pretty sure a 5 star light cone you can actually choose is going to be more helpful to you then 35 pulls that are mostly going to be 3 star lightcones with a chance that if you do get lucky enough to get a 5 star it might just be a lightcone you didn't want like the Clara one. Best to strengthen what you already have then to fish for something new that you're going to have to slowly get to the level of what you were already using.
Basically, if you don't have a copy of the 5* lightcones, definitely buy them. You essentially spend half the pulls to guarantee the lightcone you want. I guess the downside of this is that you can't get 5* characters this way, but its probably worth it in most situations since those artifacts do so much (or most of them do anyway). Some of them even change how you can use your characters.
Yeah...it all depends on what lightcones and characters you have. For example I only have 1 5 star character (geopard), and I have 2 5 star lightcones from the gatcha (The healing one and clara's). I could get geopards lightcone, but the one in simulated universe can do the job. And probably my blade will use claras lightcone, so thats good. If by some chance I end up getting a welt or bronya, I believe the lightcones are a must. It all depends on what you have and what you need. I would not rush to buy the 30 pulls unless you need them RIGHT THERE, so that If you need a lightcone in the future, you have the option.
Gepard cones is amazing, especially if you use belobog relics (gain 15% more def if hitrate above 50%). I can see future tanks offer some sorts of debuff thats why effect hit rates are really welcome
I was going to say this, idk what the chat was saying bc gepards lc is one of the best in the game for every tank. Only time where it is questionable is march 7 where day 1 would be better, especially in a clara team but that's one specific case.

It’s even better if you don’t have superimpositions on Day 1. Gepard’s LC is insane it’s arguably better than Bronya or Clara because it’s more versatile and usable on more units whereas the others aren’t as much.
Only problem is fu Xian I've heard scales from hp. If they're making characters scale from different stats it makes the lightcone getting a bit wasteful.
Dance, Dance, Dance is Tingyun's second best option after Bronya's signature lightcone, but only because Bronya's lightcone has higher stats. Also, you cannot guarantee Seele goes before Tingyun since Seele buffs her own speed.
Honestly I think its 100% depends on what you, I mean if you dont have a decent light cone and one of the shop ones would be that big of a boost, its better for that, but on the other hand if you dont need any of them summons are just too good
Then gettin dupe on standart banner.... For f2p both extra summon or Guaranted LC are good choice. But LC value increased if you are dolphin that can always guaranteed limited character that you want. And furthermore based on your luck on standart banner or/and LC banner if you ever want to pull.
It's exactly why Bronya's LC is the safest pick. Even with a dupe, when you're running 2 Harmony characters, both can use the same LC and provide A LOT of skill point generation. Mind you, energy regeneration is hard capped as only 1 equipment can give you that stat. So any LC that provides energy regen is huge.
I currently saving my starlight. Considering to buy Bronya LC bcs i got and play her. Also I got lucky on my limited char pull. I will also use the SL for wishes if I really want the character and I near the guarranted pity while the banner close to end, bcs I've bought the 4 star harmony LC from FH shop.
I’m personally going for Yanqing’s signature seeing as he’s my current main and I love him. I didn’t realize till yesterday it was in the shop. Now I wait till I either pull it or get enough to purchase it. At the same time, does anyone know what the timer implies? Do the lightcones switch out/go away?
@@wwekings9505 ofc not. What I meant was just get the hunter LC from hertas shop and use the starlight exchange to get another 5s LC. That way, you'll have two 5s LC instead of one (Yanqing LC)
@@darika3672 yan quings light cone is better the herta shop light cone. Hertas light cones are like 4.5 star light cones not comparable to other light cones unless you superimpose to 5.
Same here. I already got pretty lucky on the relic substats so the extra effect hit rate might be a little overkill, but the defense boost is awesome, which will only get better upon final ascension.
Past and Future is pretty good alternative for Bronya Can be used on Tingyun with any other DPS, but not for Seele imo since her skill buff her speed which can sometimes outrun your Tingyun speed which will make the Past and Future effect may not applied to the Seele To make sure it actually works everytime you need to use gold SPD boot on Tingyun at max level so she can always has the highest speed (preferably 4pcs Musketeer set so it can buff the speed further), and your Seele need to use ATK boot so her speed can't be higher than your Tingyun
I Think that sacrificing the 30 pulls for the lightcone is worth it. It of course depends on what chars you have now, and what lightcones you have. In most cases buying the lightcone is 100% worth. It will improve your character by A LOT

Thing is, tingyun at ascension 6 gets a trace that makes it that if you have a lvl 15 energy rope + the 2 piece that gives 5% energy, she can get her ult with one skill and 3 autos. So that extra 10% from a lightcone would be meaningless. Also it's kinda of a waste to give up 30 pulls for a 5 star lightcone when you'r a person that wishes on the lightcone banner because the day you get that lightcone as an off focus you will 100% remember the 30 pulls you threw away.
5* lightcone is the better choice _as of now._ We don't have many LCs to begin with. Over time, we won't need them as much and will start taking the pulls instead unless they add something new.
Not really even "as of now", lightcones will come eventually with either wishing on light cone banner or from standard random pulls and it just get worst over time since some 4 star lightcones start to be just as good as 5 stars (from the shop, not event ones) the more copies you have of them on the long run its probably a bad take
i disagree, even though some are great (gepard one is amazing imo), there are still really good 4 star options. I rather save those 30 pulls to get more characters than a stat stick.
So the 30 pulls gives you back some so it is like 35 pulls in total vs a lc iv pulls are better you get half a pity for a limited charchtere or for limited light cone and if u are lucky u can just a charchtere with those 30 also 35 pulls will give u 4+ 4 star items as well
It's 31.6 pulls on average actually. You are overstimating how much is given. 2nd, on average, you are getting 4 4* stars and 0.38 of a 5* star(I used consolidated chance, including guarantee), or 0.26 of limited. 3. You need to 370(If you pull exclusively on weapon banner or pulling on E6+ characters) to 520 pulls to get 600 starlight in the first place. That means that your pulling power is not even increased by 10%. It largely inconsequential.
I think either is a good choice. Early on the more pulls may be worth it to get more characters, but in the future when you do not need characters as much the lc would be better. overall, i think Bronya LC is most universal and best one
@@sche453 that would be true but in hsr stats are way more important and a 5 star lc is a massive upgrade. Although you can argue that you can get 30 pulls with that amount but speaking relatively you get a garunteed 5 star lc at 30 pulls and you may or may not get what you want even in 30 pulls. That's just my opinion and at the end of the day it's your account and you are free to do as you like!
I ended up getting Bronya and Clara's light cone, and I don't have either of them. I got those light cones from losing 50/50's. I would love to get Wel's light cone. One day I will get Clara, but until then it's just collecting dust. So what I learned from getting the light cones that I got, is that I almost thing getting pulls is better in a way, it does let you get more characters and light cones. So I guess it depends on what you want.
Realistically, play the game how you want. All of those light cones are in the permanent banner, there are some good odds you'll get them eventually regardless. 3 of the 5*'s I've gotten from permanent banner were light cones, so I'm more than happy to convert to pulls so I have more chances at characters
I was more of the summons. The Warps can give you the 5 star light cone or a 5 star character if you can get lucky with any of these. The special passes are like what comes first because you are hoping for a limited 5 star character or the normal 5 star character. Once you got the limited 5 star like Jing, or Seele, you can rely on normal warps and make your progression to 300 and get a free 5 star.
buying a 5 star LC is much better for long term, you can always use that LC on any other character. however they're significantly less enjoyable and fun and 30 extra pulls on a limited banner might be the difference between getting that character, and not seeing them for another year+. its not a clear answer for everyone.
@@reedsad4652 you’re not guaranteed to get anything in a luck based game… sure you might. But consistency is always better than randomness. Saving them is also just a good way to keep options open in the future. The pulls are just not worth it unless you need to save yourself from spending money on pulls because you have a gambling addiction. If we’re going to talk long term, don’t leave long term goals to chance, that’s like going gambling and saying “You’ll win your money back eventually”, that’s complete lunacy.
@@reedsad4652 most players are already below 150 pulls on standard and they are already almost capped now, with only a few pulls coming every version update. Standard pulls are pity 75, and cones and charas alternate for 95-98% of players. So you'll only get a lightcone once every 150 standard pulls. Good luck getting 150 pulls anytime soon. For a 14% chance of getting the cone you actually want.

If you want to know something, Bailu's Lightcone heal attack buff stacks, like healing for 99 turns to get, i dunno, nearly 700,000 damage in one basic attack

Me, who got Bronya as first 5* and then her weapon in 50 pulls on standard. Two times her weapon. And I still want to buy it from the shop to superimpose 3 it, that's how great it is on her
Its funny how most of the comments are saying you will get everything eventually, if you played genshin which has the same gacha system, you will know pulling on standard banner is not guranteed (hsr has the 300 choose your character, but thats only 1), you havent factored in your duplicates and the randomess of what you would receive. It took me two years plus, to get diluc from the standard banner, and jean from a failed 50/50. For weapons i have most of the standard weapons but its from rolling on the weapon banner. At the end, if you really like a character and want their lightcone, go for it. A 10% increase in dmg is nothing to sneeze at
Don't ever waste crystals on pulls. Bronya's lightcone is absolutely insane. I've got one on Bronya and another on Tingyun. Having one on each team in Memory of Chaos makes a big difference. My Tingyun has 3300 hp, so the higher base stats really help out with her survivability. Gepard's lightcone is very good as well. The main stat is Def, but it also gives a lot of hit effect, which helps him reach 50 for the bonus +15% Def from the rope set. All that hit effect lets him land his freeze skill consistently, even against bosses. For reference I'm at Trailblaze level 61 and have cleared memory of chaos with 30*.
my dilemma too, I think I will save 30 pulls rather than buy an LC bc I already have Bronya and Clara LC and Bailu LC is nice but not necessarily a must-have. Same with Gepard's. If I had to go for one, it would be either Welt or Yanqing LC.
If u have gepard without signature lightcone then buy it for better tanky and Freeze or Clara's signature lightcone if u have Clara. Thats all u need, the rest is not important cause u can get anytime in regular wrap or event wrap. Plus u dont need to spend too much materials cause u have already a better light cone. Saving is important if u are F2P.
I keep everything for now, and most likely use it for pulls latter on. 5* standard Light cones are really good but I believe that limited 5* are so much better that I prefere 1/3 (on average, if we take the 25% lose into account) of the way towards a limited cone for a limited main dps than a cone for a standard character. Also my only standard 5* for now are Bailu and Gepard which I believe won't need to be that maxed out in end game. I'm also sure I won't ever take Bronya's (I think the 4* is good enough), Welt's (got this one from standard), Yanqing's (really not a fan of how the passive is working) and Himeko's. The only one I would consider is Clara if I pull her.
Break Effect: Break Effect enhances the various Weakness Break effects, such as the amount of DMG dealt upon weakness break, the amount of DMG dealt by DoTs per turn, and how far enemy actions are delayed. So It doesn't seem to be too important as it only comes into play once an enemy is already broken, I think.
I would rather get Warps personally, because I know i'll eventually get weapons (Speaking as an E1 Gepard with signiture, also hoping to get Jingyuan's LC).
The only reason i prefer summons is because getting limited lightcones is statistically easier here than in Genshin And now early game, i will need all summons for characters anyway
So it depends whether you plan to play for a long term in this game. If yes then your strategy is to go for draw rather than lightcones cause yoy may get the dupes in the std pulls once you purchase it in longer run. Then people may say yeah i can pass to other char to use but as of now you just need 2 teams moreover there are 5 stars f2p lightcone option in herta store (lower stat) but still usable. I had 3 lightcones already from the std banner.
I mean pulling on light cone banners is usually like 77 ish pulls so a light cone for 30 pulls is worth it granted you get the lightcone you want. That's about it. Personally, I've been lucky and all the 5* lightcone I've pulled from normal banner are Clara's and bailu and I have both of those characters. There are also tons of other light cone options too so chose the light cones for the paths you don't have.
pulls are actually better unless you need a card that is offered. You pulling 3 multies is valuable as you come closer to the featured light cone, and you will also get cones for your other characters which can always be used. Thats how i look at things anyway
My strategy is to dump a bunch of resources into the best option I have available, which seems to guarantee that I'll later pull the actual BiS option.
i think at the start of the game i probably bought like 5-10 wishes with those strarlight, but then i realized that those light cones arent just like the ones in genshin shop and started saving, i have 200 so far
I’ll get the lightcones eventually from standard. I already pulled Welt’s during the game’s first week. So I’d rather take the pulls, which will give me some currency to buy things in that store anyways
Got Bailu spook last week and want to get her light cone. 560/600 right now. Carve The Moon LC for my Tingyun so I don't need the Bronya LC, and no Bronya. Post Op is already used by my Natasha so can't share that. Gepard LC may be the only useful one for Trailblazer and i can give back March LC to March. There's also my level 1 Gepard but no resources to level him. Still contemplating next BP for either Preservation or Abundance to stop this brainstorming and theory crafting.
Honestly though, imo March's LC is better on Trailblazer because they already have 100% taunt rate (already high base chance compared to March freeze). Gepard's LC Eff hit rate effect is literally stronger on March because you increase her chance to freeze while increasing her defense while also synergizes well with the 5th and 6th Eff hit rate-to-Def relics combination (sorry i forgot the name) Also with 8-16% dmg reduction, you can reach ~60% damage reduction alongside trailblazer passive for the whole team! Which is more massive to trailblazers team (which has "less" shield compared to March targetted shield). I'd sacrifice 200-300 shield and def for that damage reduction honestly. Especially if we are speaking of endgane when % matters more than flat stats Just my opinion though. I am okay to be proven wrong and respect your decision
I pulled the bronia one, and I have and use Clara, so for now I’m saving for her LC. I think it depends on what characters you have and want to use most.
Break Effect imo only useful for Imaginary or specifically Welt and Quantum characters, others just sucks. Maybe Serval too when you can combo with Kafka.
Thing is seele changes her speed, so for 1st turn it's tingyun, seele. But for second and after wards it's seele, tingyun u can't you 4star lightcone passive then
I bought a few of the lcs after whaling. After getting the ones I really liked, I'm gonna stick to pulls for the near future. Might superimpose a few if their kits stay relevant for a while.
For F2P dont bother waiting it to 600 it will take you a year. You might think you have 300 of that now BUT that next 300 will take forever with how low the currency we get as a F2P. 30 pulls that will help increase your pity on banner > 5* LC
Genuinely surprised about people saying dont get gepards, it's a million defense, agro and to hit rate. Fantastic for either Geppy or Mc imo, then again im biased towards Gepard, so there's that
i got bronyas lc from the gacha and im about to buy a second one, i find it more universal and top tier harmony LC whereas the other ones are less universal
I finally hit Trailblazer Lvl 50 and got the pulls from the level up from 49 to 50 and reached the 300 pity on Standard and now I finally have Himeko now all I need is Bronya and that completes my standard banner journey because I have Bailu as well the rest I'll get naturally
I got really bad luck with Jing Yuan. After losing 50/50 and reach hard pity, I still couldn't get it. I just used up all of those and finally got them in my last 10 pull. It suck that I manage to e6 both sushang and march but missing one for ting yun. I got multiple extra copy of sushang and march after e6 both of them.
It's simple, 30 pulls won't gurantee you a new limited 5*, but that 600 gurantees you a 5* light cone Of Your Choice for standard banner characters, which by this point I believe almost everyone have at least one of them.
I'll save until I find myself in a situation where I need 20-30 pulls to get the guaranteed limited 5 star that I want. I get the character, two 4 stars/eidolons and advance the pity in the process. A single one of those eidolons might be a bigger upgrade to my account that any of the 5 star lightcones which I might get eventually from free pulls.
Getting atleast one of your desired lc is definitely better than a mere 30 pulls and to those who say that we'd EVENTUALLY get them know this I've been playing Genshin since day 1, have 1k plus login days, thousands of wishes dumped everywhere and i still don't have SOME standard banner weapons that I really want like wgs or aquila or even skyward sword. That EVENTUALLY is a scam lol get one you truly desire and then you can spend the rest.
Having more character is good, but when I play Bronya I often lack of skill point. TL 33. I got Jingyuan and now on guarranted. Wont pull for healer or support at the moment bcs I already have enough. I'm saving starlight of course for emergency for wishes when I didn't get the character I want to get close to pity when the banner close to end. But thats unlikely gonna happen. Unless I want 2 characters that release close to each other. But I kinda agree to your point, rn just using my 4 star lightcone and leave SL untouch.
i think tickets are better because the f2p lightcones are already very nice. (don't take me as the bible) saying this because I got bronya's lc and himeko's lc in 102 pulls and not even a single character wth (at least I have bronya)
Not worth it. "30 pulls" that essencially you're accepting that you will receive no 4* or 5*, nor count into pity and you're gaining just a bunch of stats. I rather use 30 pulls and get new characters or get closer to the pity to Silver Wolf... As a light spender (express suply+battle pass) I've actively used these points to trade for pulls on the premium banner and got all characters released so far, minus Clara. This is what I consider worth. I already got LC from the standard banner and it was a bummer.
I drawed Bronyas at normal summons and i think you can draw them on the special banner too? so i rather go for the 30 Limited Banner Tickets as f2p (you still have good alternitives too and a Limited char is yeah limited as long thy don`t grew the Normal banner (maybe after x chars are released or never) yeah thats my take ;D

I was wondering if I should get yanqing's since I got him e2 (f2p btw, unfortunate accident) but decided to get 10 standard banner wishes(that was dumb of me but I wanted a new 5* chara and I was like pity 66) and I got Yanqing's lc. Past and Future is not that great for Tingyun since you only use her skill every 3 turns. It is better for Asta. Bronya's LC is the top choice on that store next is Clara's.
Definitely pulls are better you will get some here and there 5 star lightcones from standart in the long term same as Genshin like I got almost all weapons on standard from Genshin and I’m welkin only player and lets say you get the light cone at 65 soft pity a limited time lightcone is more valuable than the standard ones like before dawn is crazy i would even say that when you pull for a dps you should plan in advance and have enough to also roll for the limited lightcone it’s 75% much better than Genshin

LC will always be the best option but you ONLY get the pulls if you are near pity guarantee to get the feature limited 5star banner. Also the Advance forward of Dance! Dance! Dance! passive is Very Broken like Forgotten hall you get a extra turn without changing the cycle. It is a very crucial passive of getting 3 star in forgotten hall
for me, ive always been fine with using 4 star weapons/lightcones. theyve always been sometimes better than the 5 star lightcones too, imo.
im still early game so whatever 4 star weapon i get and its my characters paths, i just put it on them without reading the ability lmao
in hsr lightcones are super good. it is better than getting a character honestly. bcs they're a huge boost to your account. just look at those multipliers, on jing yuan's, seele's, bronya's, gepard's, clara's, welt's.
also not to mention you can give the lightcones to anyone from that class..
we need alot of stats, and those lightcone bonuses are huge.

Dance x3 is really good because unlike speed increases, the action advance % can give you a ton more actions

They will be getting more turns than your support after all they also have speed boosting capabilities built into their kit. For slower dps like Jing Yuan it will be great. And it's gacha you might get it and you might not get it like the sac sword.

Increased Damage Is different from "More Damage", More damage is applied after every other buff so it would be the total calculation of %attack and Increased damage and then you add more damage, at least that is the way it generally is in most games, and that would make it the biggest multiplier in the game, making bronya's lightcone insane.

@@cuakman hoyo games apply damage % after the atk and crit values either way. Idk what skills you would even be referring to that apply "more damage" as an effect buff. Essentially, bronya's skill and this LC are doing the same exact thing, the LC stacks with it though so it is a slight improvement.
The only other wordings that matter for this game that give "true" value increase is debuffing the enemy with increased damage taken, def decreases on the enemy, and enemy damage reduction decreases. This is why Welt and Silver Wolf are going to scale very hard with dps units that are built well.

Lightcones are more worth than buying wishes because from 600 you will only get 30 wishes and buying a lightcone is considered ~80 wishes as per the banner. Which also calculates that you need 1600 of those to get 80 wishes whereas you can buy 2 lightcones and eventually use your wishes to get more lightcones in the permanent banner or lightcone one.
its not really about the net gain in 5*'s that Moga is talking about. Its the free pity that is built towards a limited character that ISNT on the standard banner. Eventually youll have all of the standard lightcones and characters just from losing pity (assuming you play for long enough), but you will never have all the limited characters.
i say use the currency if u need like 10 summons to pity a 5 star that you want. I've used mine on Seele needed 15 summons before she went away so i dnt regret a thing. Lightcones are the better value for sure but dnt be afraid to use some of the emergency funds to get the 5 star u want.

In genshin after like 2 years, people still dont even have half of the standard weapons as an example.

Where as in HSR, its easier to pull the lightcone than the weapon, with a 75% chance that the 5 star will be a lightcone. That means much more people will be pulling on it, even FTP or dolphins. Im not saying that spending them on tickets is more valuable than the light cone, I am just proving a more accurate insight to what Moga was trying to say. Also, just a quick aside, I have gotten 3 5 stars from the standard banner and all of them have been lightcones. Seems the rates are different on the standard banner from genshin as well

It's anyone's choice if they want to beef up their favorite unit or go for extra pulls for a limited character, none if the choices is a bad one.
True! It happened to me just yesterday, Clara's lightcone was one of those I was considering getting once I had enough starlight but I ended up getting him at 40 pity on the standard banner.
Personally i would use it for lightcones bc it’s a guaranteed upgrade rather than gamba, although you can argue you get pity, i find that you actually get a bunch of wishes just playing the game
What happens when you've used up all those early game wishes though? TL 35 onwards, you'll start to really want those 30 pulls. Heck, even 10.

I did get lucky since I got Gepard, Bronya's LC and Bronya's E1 from standard (got Bronya on pity in novice banner), and so the LC isn't wasted (but Bronya's LC is honestly good on any harmony character) but I can totally see myself getting a LC which would be totally useless for my character roster
I think putting pulls towards another character is very important, but unlike with the Light Cones limited characters are guaranteed at some point. You may never get the five star LC you want just pulling occasionally on the standard banner. In my pulls on standard I’ve gotten Bailu’s LC twice, and I don’t have a Bailu. That could have been any character or any LC, which is why if you want something in specific buying it from the shop is better than waiting on getting lucky.
only Bronya and Gepard lc worth the point imo, would rather go for pulls other than that, unless u are a whale and wanna max a standard lc. Bronya is good because of the Err, that thing make her ult 1 turn faster and somewhat solve her skill point problem, for Gepard it literally a better Landau's Choice since not only it increase survivability for ur tanker and draw aggro, it also give their teammate bigger shield by adding alot of def, ehr on top of that for easier taunt/cc and easier to trigger bonus 15% def by achieve 50% ehr on bolobog 2 piece set, which for even more shield
Gepards is good if you actually want your Preservation character to be hit, if you would rather the enemies hit one of the other characters then its really really bad.
I'm definitely going for 30 pulls. Yes 5* cone is great, but there are good 4* substitutes. And you might accidentally pull the 5* cones later too. I currently have two of Clara's cone i have no use for, for example.
30 pulls is such a huge value. And with the starlight we'd get back from those summons, maybe it's like a 35 pull in total?
But that's the problems, you might get it or not. 30 pulls might be good for early game but late game not so much. Learn from GI, you can't always built new character in the long run. And the 4* Lightcone in this game have a huge red flag is that it doesn't provide good enough effect, in Genshin you can used some 3* weapon for it main/sub stat but HSR doesn't have that, the light cone system heavily rely on the effect not the stat.
There plenty of great 4 star replacements that you can superimpose that may have even better value than a non superimposed one. Better go for more pulls. Especially with the coming banners

Eh, pretty sure a 5 star light cone you can actually choose is going to be more helpful to you then 35 pulls that are mostly going to be 3 star lightcones with a chance that if you do get lucky enough to get a 5 star it might just be a lightcone you didn't want like the Clara one.
Best to strengthen what you already have then to fish for something new that you're going to have to slowly get to the level of what you were already using.

Basically, if you don't have a copy of the 5* lightcones, definitely buy them. You essentially spend half the pulls to guarantee the lightcone you want. I guess the downside of this is that you can't get 5* characters this way, but its probably worth it in most situations since those artifacts do so much (or most of them do anyway). Some of them even change how you can use your characters.

Yeah...it all depends on what lightcones and characters you have. For example I only have 1 5 star character (geopard), and I have 2 5 star lightcones from the gatcha (The healing one and clara's). I could get geopards lightcone, but the one in simulated universe can do the job. And probably my blade will use claras lightcone, so thats good. If by some chance I end up getting a welt or bronya, I believe the lightcones are a must. It all depends on what you have and what you need.
I would not rush to buy the 30 pulls unless you need them RIGHT THERE, so that If you need a lightcone in the future, you have the option.
Gepard cones is amazing, especially if you use belobog relics (gain 15% more def if hitrate above 50%). I can see future tanks offer some sorts of debuff thats why effect hit rates are really welcome
gepard already has a debuff, his freeze is a debuff

Only problem is fu Xian I've heard scales from hp. If they're making characters scale from different stats it makes the lightcone getting a bit wasteful.
Dance, Dance, Dance is Tingyun's second best option after Bronya's signature lightcone, but only because Bronya's lightcone has higher stats. Also, you cannot guarantee Seele goes before Tingyun since Seele buffs her own speed.
It's 120 pulls on average to pull a limited 5*, so 30 pulls would be 1/4 of a 5* and 3 eidolones for your 4*

Honestly I think its 100% depends on what you, I mean if you dont have a decent light cone and one of the shop ones would be that big of a boost, its better for that, but on the other hand if you dont need any of them summons are just too good

It's exactly why Bronya's LC is the safest pick. Even with a dupe, when you're running 2 Harmony characters, both can use the same LC and provide A LOT of skill point generation. Mind you, energy regeneration is hard capped as only 1 equipment can give you that stat. So any LC that provides energy regen is huge.
I currently saving my starlight. Considering to buy Bronya LC bcs i got and play her. Also I got lucky on my limited char pull. I will also use the SL for wishes if I really want the character and I near the guarranted pity while the banner close to end, bcs I've bought the 4 star harmony LC from FH shop.

You can purchase one Copy of each Lightcone once per Month. When June starts, in Mogas Case, we would be able to buy Bronyas LC again

Past and Future is pretty good alternative for Bronya
Can be used on Tingyun with any other DPS, but not for Seele imo since her skill buff her speed which can sometimes outrun your Tingyun speed which will make the Past and Future effect may not applied to the Seele
To make sure it actually works everytime you need to use gold SPD boot on Tingyun at max level so she can always has the highest speed (preferably 4pcs Musketeer set so it can buff the speed further), and your Seele need to use ATK boot so her speed can't be higher than your Tingyun

Some people don't use Preservation char to tank, they use Abundance to heal up instead. Maybe.
I Think that sacrificing the 30 pulls for the lightcone is worth it. It of course depends on what chars you have now, and what lightcones you have. In most cases buying the lightcone is 100% worth. It will improve your character by A LOT

Thing is, tingyun at ascension 6 gets a trace that makes it that if you have a lvl 15 energy rope + the 2 piece that gives 5% energy, she can get her ult with one skill and 3 autos. So that extra 10% from a lightcone would be meaningless.
Also it's kinda of a waste to give up 30 pulls for a 5 star lightcone when you'r a person that wishes on the lightcone banner because the day you get that lightcone as an off focus you will 100% remember the 30 pulls you threw away.
But then you can run an ATK% rope on her instead

5* lightcone is the better choice _as of now._ We don't have many LCs to begin with. Over time, we won't need them as much and will start taking the pulls instead unless they add something new.

So the 30 pulls gives you back some so it is like 35 pulls in total vs a lc iv pulls are better you get half a pity for a limited charchtere or for limited light cone and if u are lucky u can just a charchtere with those 30 also 35 pulls will give u 4+ 4 star items as well
It's 31.6 pulls on average actually. You are overstimating how much is given.
2nd, on average, you are getting 4 4* stars and 0.38 of a 5* star(I used consolidated chance, including guarantee), or 0.26 of limited.
3. You need to 370(If you pull exclusively on weapon banner or pulling on E6+ characters) to 520 pulls to get 600 starlight in the first place. That means that your pulling power is not even increased by 10%. It largely inconsequential.
I think either is a good choice. Early on the more pulls may be worth it to get more characters, but in the future when you do not need characters as much the lc would be better. overall, i think Bronya LC is most universal and best one
And I also think youll get light cones eventually (event ones aside)

I ended up getting Bronya and Clara's light cone, and I don't have either of them. I got those light cones from losing 50/50's. I would love to get Wel's light cone. One day I will get Clara, but until then it's just collecting dust. So what I learned from getting the light cones that I got, is that I almost thing getting pulls is better in a way, it does let you get more characters and light cones. So I guess it depends on what you want.
Realistically, play the game how you want. All of those light cones are in the permanent banner, there are some good odds you'll get them eventually regardless. 3 of the 5*'s I've gotten from permanent banner were light cones, so I'm more than happy to convert to pulls so I have more chances at characters
I was more of the summons. The Warps can give you the 5 star light cone or a 5 star character if you can get lucky with any of these. The special passes are like what comes first because you are hoping for a limited 5 star character or the normal 5 star character. Once you got the limited 5 star like Jing, or Seele, you can rely on normal warps and make your progression to 300 and get a free 5 star.
buying a 5 star LC is much better for long term, you can always use that LC on any other character.
however they're significantly less enjoyable and fun and 30 extra pulls on a limited banner might be the difference between getting that character, and not seeing them for another year+. its not a clear answer for everyone.
If youre talkin about long term then it wont. You will have those eventually.

Saving them is also just a good way to keep options open in the future. Standard pulls are pity 75, and cones and charas alternate for 95-98% of players. So you'll only get a lightcone once every 150 standard pulls. Good luck getting 150 pulls anytime soon. For a 14% chance of getting the cone you actually want.

Me, who got Bronya as first 5* and then her weapon in 50 pulls on standard. Two times her weapon. And I still want to buy it from the shop to superimpose 3 it, that's how great it is on her
Its funny how most of the comments are saying you will get everything eventually, if you played genshin which has the same gacha system, you will know pulling on standard banner is not guranteed (hsr has the 300 choose your character, but thats only 1), you havent factored in your duplicates and the randomess of what you would receive. It took me two years plus, to get diluc from the standard banner, and jean from a failed 50/50. For weapons i have most of the standard weapons but its from rolling on the weapon banner.
At the end, if you really like a character and want their lightcone, go for it. A 10% increase in dmg is nothing to sneeze at
I’d hate to buy a lightcone and then get it on the standard banner, so I’m not sure if I’m going to. I did buy Servals e2 though.
Don't ever waste crystals on pulls.
Bronya's lightcone is absolutely insane. I've got one on Bronya and another on Tingyun.
Having one on each team in Memory of Chaos makes a big difference. My Tingyun has 3300 hp, so the higher base stats really help out with her survivability.
Gepard's lightcone is very good as well. The main stat is Def, but it also gives a lot of hit effect, which helps him reach 50 for the bonus +15% Def from the rope set. All that hit effect lets him land his freeze skill consistently, even against bosses.
For reference I'm at Trailblaze level 61 and have cleared memory of chaos with 30*.
Is gepard enough for survivability or did you need a healer in both teams

my dilemma too, I think I will save 30 pulls rather than buy an LC bc I already have Bronya and Clara LC and Bailu LC is nice but not necessarily a must-have. Same with Gepard's. If I had to go for one, it would be either Welt or Yanqing LC.
Im def saving up for gepards lc ive been at 360 glitter for a while cuz of the content drought
If u have gepard without signature lightcone then buy it for better tanky and Freeze or Clara's signature lightcone if u have Clara. Thats all u need, the rest is not important cause u can get anytime in regular wrap or event wrap. Plus u dont need to spend too much materials cause u have already a better light cone. Saving is important if u are F2P.
I keep everything for now, and most likely use it for pulls latter on. 5* standard Light cones are really good but I believe that limited 5* are so much better that I prefere 1/3 (on average, if we take the 25% lose into account) of the way towards a limited cone for a limited main dps than a cone for a standard character. Also my only standard 5* for now are Bailu and Gepard which I believe won't need to be that maxed out in end game. I'm also sure I won't ever take Bronya's (I think the 4* is good enough), Welt's (got this one from standard), Yanqing's (really not a fan of how the passive is working) and Himeko's. The only one I would consider is Clara if I pull her.

Break Effect: Break Effect enhances the various Weakness Break effects, such as the amount of DMG dealt upon weakness break, the amount of DMG dealt by DoTs per turn, and how far enemy actions are delayed.
So It doesn't seem to be too important as it only comes into play once an enemy is already broken, I think.

30 pulls guarantee 30 pity and 3 four stars and those can easily be considered an account boost
I would rather get Warps personally, because I know i'll eventually get weapons (Speaking as an E1 Gepard with signiture, also hoping to get Jingyuan's LC).
The only reason i prefer summons is because getting limited lightcones is statistically easier here than in Genshin
And now early game, i will need all summons for characters anyway
So it depends whether you plan to play for a long term in this game. If yes then your strategy is to go for draw rather than lightcones cause yoy may get the dupes in the std pulls once you purchase it in longer run. Then people may say yeah i can pass to other char to use but as of now you just need 2 teams moreover there are 5 stars f2p lightcone option in herta store (lower stat) but still usable. I had 3 lightcones already from the std banner.

I don't think any other light cone is good to buy.
Also, break effect is cracked on characters like Sampo who can take advantage of the DoT. You should research how good break effect is

I mean pulling on light cone banners is usually like 77 ish pulls so a light cone for 30 pulls is worth it granted you get the lightcone you want. That's about it. Personally, I've been lucky and all the 5* lightcone I've pulled from normal banner are Clara's and bailu and I have both of those characters. There are also tons of other light cone options too so chose the light cones for the paths you don't have.
pulls are actually better unless you need a card that is offered. You pulling 3 multies is valuable as you come closer to the featured light cone, and you will also get cones for your other characters which can always be used. Thats how i look at things anyway

For me, I got almost every 5* lightcone from the standard banner. So, i'm choosing the 30 pulls
i think at the start of the game i probably bought like 5-10 wishes with those strarlight, but then i realized that those light cones arent just like the ones in genshin shop and started saving, i have 200 so far
I’ll get the lightcones eventually from standard. I already pulled Welt’s during the game’s first week. So I’d rather take the pulls, which will give me some currency to buy things in that store anyways
Got Bailu spook last week and want to get her light cone. 560/600 right now. Carve The Moon LC for my Tingyun so I don't need the Bronya LC, and no Bronya. Post Op is already used by my Natasha so can't share that.
Gepard LC may be the only useful one for Trailblazer and i can give back March LC to March. There's also my level 1 Gepard but no resources to level him.
Still contemplating next BP for either Preservation or Abundance to stop this brainstorming and theory crafting.
Honestly though, imo March's LC is better on Trailblazer because they already have 100% taunt rate (already high base chance compared to March freeze). Gepard's LC Eff hit rate effect is literally stronger on March because you increase her chance to freeze while increasing her defense while also synergizes well with the 5th and 6th Eff hit rate-to-Def relics combination (sorry i forgot the name)
Also with 8-16% dmg reduction, you can reach ~60% damage reduction alongside trailblazer passive for the whole team! Which is more massive to trailblazers team (which has "less" shield compared to March targetted shield). I'd sacrifice 200-300 shield and def for that damage reduction honestly. Especially if we are speaking of endgane when % matters more than flat stats

i went for summons cause the more characters you got the better. Also when the reruns are coming you can definately go for the exclusive lightcones.
I pulled the bronia one, and I have and use Clara, so for now I’m saving for her LC. I think it depends on what characters you have and want to use most.
Break Effect imo only useful for Imaginary or specifically Welt and Quantum characters, others just sucks. Maybe Serval too when you can combo with Kafka.
IDK that ima ever give up 30 pulls for a standard banner LC... I can use them pulls to save money on limited characters

I bought a few of the lcs after whaling. After getting the ones I really liked, I'm gonna stick to pulls for the near future. Might superimpose a few if their kits stay relevant for a while.
For F2P dont bother waiting it to 600 it will take you a year. You might think you have 300 of that now BUT that next 300 will take forever with how low the currency we get as a F2P. 30 pulls that will help increase your pity on banner > 5* LC

i got bronyas lc from the gacha and im about to buy a second one, i find it more universal and top tier harmony LC whereas the other ones are less universal
I finally hit Trailblazer Lvl 50 and got the pulls from the level up from 49 to 50 and reached the 300 pity on Standard and now I finally have Himeko now all I need is Bronya and that completes my standard banner journey because I have Bailu as well the rest I'll get naturally
best LC choice should be Bronya or welt cuz these are really good on every char of that path and have strong effects
I got really bad luck with Jing Yuan. After losing 50/50 and reach hard pity, I still couldn't get it. I just used up all of those and finally got them in my last 10 pull. It suck that I manage to e6 both sushang and march but missing one for ting yun. I got multiple extra copy of sushang and march after e6 both of them.
There's so many great 4* light cone that i don't care about the 5* light cone😂
It's simple, 30 pulls won't gurantee you a new limited 5*, but that 600 gurantees you a 5* light cone Of Your Choice for standard banner characters, which by this point I believe almost everyone have at least one of them.
I'll save until I find myself in a situation where I need 20-30 pulls to get the guaranteed limited 5 star that I want. I get the character, two 4 stars/eidolons and advance the pity in the process. A single one of those eidolons might be a bigger upgrade to my account that any of the 5 star lightcones which I might get eventually from free pulls.

Getting atleast one of your desired lc is definitely better than a mere 30 pulls and to those who say that we'd EVENTUALLY get them know this I've been playing Genshin since day 1, have 1k plus login days, thousands of wishes dumped everywhere and i still don't have SOME standard banner weapons that I really want like wgs or aquila or even skyward sword. That EVENTUALLY is a scam lol get one you truly desire and then you can spend the rest.
For me, save them only if you care about the power of your units. Me personally, i prefer having more characters than making 1 character stronger
Having more character is good, but when I play Bronya I often lack of skill point. TL 33. I got Jingyuan and now on guarranted. Wont pull for healer or support at the moment bcs I already have enough. I'm saving starlight of course for emergency for wishes when I didn't get the character I want to get close to pity when the banner close to end. But thats unlikely gonna happen. Unless I want 2 characters that release close to each other. But I kinda agree to your point, rn just using my 4 star lightcone and leave SL untouch.
i think tickets are better because the f2p lightcones are already very nice. (don't take me as the bible) saying this because I got bronya's lc and himeko's lc in 102 pulls and not even a single character wth (at least I have bronya)
Not worth it. "30 pulls" that essencially you're accepting that you will receive no 4* or 5*, nor count into pity and you're gaining just a bunch of stats.
I rather use 30 pulls and get new characters or get closer to the pity to Silver Wolf... As a light spender (express suply+battle pass) I've actively used these points to trade for pulls on the premium banner and got all characters released so far, minus Clara. This is what I consider worth.
I already got LC from the standard banner and it was a bummer.
bronya is bis for almost all harmony but bailus is also nice for healers, like, all the LC are good.
Not for asta tho. Asta ultimate does not targetting anyone thus does not proc the passives

I drawed Bronyas at normal summons and i think you can draw them on the special banner too? so i rather go for the 30 Limited Banner Tickets as f2p (you still have good alternitives too and a Limited char is yeah limited as long thy don`t grew the Normal banner (maybe after x chars are released or never) yeah thats my take ;D

Never buying 5* cones ever. I was wondering if I should get yanqing's since I got him e2 (f2p btw, unfortunate accident) but decided to get 10 standard banner wishes(that was dumb of me but I wanted a new 5* chara and I was like pity 66) and I got Yanqing's lc. So I'll just spend the crystals on wishes in dire times
Past and Future is not that great for Tingyun since you only use her skill every 3 turns. It is better for Asta. Bronya's LC is the top choice on that store next is Clara's.

Definitely pulls are better you will get some here and there 5 star lightcones from standart in the long term same as Genshin like I got almost all weapons on standard from Genshin and I’m welkin only player and lets say you get the light cone at 65 soft pity a limited time lightcone is more valuable than the standard ones like before dawn is crazy i would even say that when you pull for a dps you should plan in advance and have enough to also roll for the limited lightcone it’s 75% much better than Genshin
bro my tingyun is using a 3star lc, ive pulled 50 beginner, 120 standard and 75 on jing yuan's banner. at this point im convinced harmony LC's dont exist. i would swipe for a dance dance dance on my acc
