- Fantastic winter hike taking in the Munro bynack more up in the Cairngorms
leaving the Glenmore visitor centre we walked up through the forest as you’ll see in the intro. After a couple of km we arrive at the first highlight of this hike - an lochan uaine or commonly known as “the green lochan”
Heading past the lochan we soon turn right and start the long ascent towards the snow line. Bynack More sits far out so it’s a long hike before you even get to the bulk of the mountain. Don’t know exactly how it feels as a summer mountain but in winter conditions it was fabulous. We had our winter gear with us but in this case managed fine with overshoe spikes and ski googles for visibility.
I took the beginning scenes on my DJI mini 3 drone and a lot of the walking and climbing footage was done on the insta360 rs one.

It probably was cold at the top but we both had warm gear on and can’t say neither of us felt it. Loved that wee day out. Its a lovely hike

Tough conditions mate, well done, was supposed to do this last august but got wasted the night before after doing Macdui and Cairn Gorm 🙄 Another time….all the best mate 😊👍🏴🏴
