Well watch out because that argument does not make any sense: it is in EVERYONE'S interest if you do not speak of things which probably you do not understand. Speak to people where they're at. Be like a chameleon. YOU don't need to create a PERSONA out of "Society rejects ME, thus I am on the right path"

Not among intellectuals though, if you know how to bring the topics on properly. So look around you be open minded and youll find plenty of people.

I used to think you were in the middle of mental health and insanity for such radical understandings but recently I've been gifted with very relevant epiphanies/awakenings that are life-changing. Every time it happens I come here to re-listen this information and everything starts to match and to have a completely different meaning. All of this starts to make so much sense to me. Thank you really!

The whole time I was watching this video I was experiencing a deep fear, so deep my body was shaking non-stop. I have had this realization many times in the past - on psychedelics, Mooji pointings, and contemplation - but was not able to fully see it during this video. My person was desperately holding on, and I kept inquiring into, “Who is the one who is holding on?” but, this time, the attention was directed toward attempting to recontextualize my entire life from start to finish, without a perceiver. I was running through memory after memory in my life and realizing that I wasn’t actually there the entire time (similar to the Fight Club analogy used in the Radical Recontextualization Episode). It was extremely terrifying for my ego. The consequences of the Truth was so viscerally frightening that I was not able to sink into the insight like I have in the past.
All “my experiences” and “my issues” had no owner, they were just pure consciousness floating out in space the whole time. Spooky.
Also, just recently I was contemplating my earliest childhood memory for some reason, and I realized that my first solid memory was when I was like 4 years old, which was odd to me. What was I before I was 4? Where was I located? Why are there no memories before this?
So, along the lines of Leo’s explanation, I had the insight/personal hypothesis that I was Source Consciousness the whole time - which is Pure Being without a commentator or ideas or even words at all - and the first memory I have only came AFTER I had gradually (and innocently) taken on the assumption that I am the one that is experiencing and owning these perceptions. Before I adopted this IDEA, I couldn’t remember anything because there was no “me” there to attach a referenced story to. That is why there are no memories before the idea that we are a person has been accepted as truth (with a lower case t).
Likewise, an old person in a nursing home that has lost their mind, they are actual Source or Pure Being but their whole “life” disappears. Their life doesn’t end when their body dies, it ends when they lose the idea of themselves as the person. When they lose this concept then their “person” goes away and they just Are, without any previous reference. And btw, at this point you can see just how fragile their whole “life” is. The “life” they assumed they owned disappears completely and the only thing left is Being. Everything they thought they were the whole time is no longer there, but their body is still there. They “die” before they “die”.
Not sure if this makes total sense, I just thought I would share with everyone my experience and also an insight that may contribute to Leo’s explanation. Any thoughts?
    Thanks Leo. You da man!

I was a real fan of Leo untill one day that i realized he is trying to think for us. think for yourself. dont let leo fuck your girlfriend, dont let leo tell you what reality is, who your friends are, dont let him isolate yourself because your environment doesnt accept LEO's IDEAS. Go to real therapists, you know? the one's that truly listen to your problems not pretending they know them, the one's that are adapting they're methods for you. 1. It would be nice if thees ideas were actually testable and provable.
      2. Even if one ass-umed that this presentation is 100% fact, how is that relevant to anything?
If you're being tortured and starved in Hitlers prison camp, do you give a flying fook whether all this b.s. is true or not.
You are still being subjected to torture and starvation and your senses have no choice but to sense them.
There are somewhere between 0 and 1 humans in the history of humanity that can ignore the reality of their 'living' experience.
There are between 0 and 0 lesser life forms that can utilize this stupid nonsense we're assuming is fact. Fact or not, it's useless to 99.999999% of life in the universe.
Existence for 'living' things is bookended between procreation and the food chain, and filled with hunger, fear, suffering, and a gruesome death via teeth, claws, poison stinger, starvation, ..., ..., ...
So basically, in dictionary terms, you can think of existence as eternal hell. Once you 'die' you respawn somewhere else, as someTHING else to do it all over again... hunger, fear, suffer, die... hunger, fear, suffer, die... hunger, fear suffer die. So what's more *real* to you... what Leotard is telling you, or the inescapable truth that life is eternal hunger, fear, suffering, and death. You can think of the universal consciousness as the embodiment of evil itself, as its effectively experienced, and you're already in hell, you're just too gawd damn stupid to see it.
You can think of the content of Leo's videos as explaining that there's no such thing as good or evil, only perceptions of events, yet when asked to willingly give your child, pet, spouse over to a serial killer for their enjoyment, how many humans on earth would do that? I seriously doubt even Leotard would do such a thing, as I doubt the sincerity in which he buys into his own nonsense.

Thank you. I've been meditating every single day for over 3 years now. Been watching your videos since I started. I get it. I am one of the people you hoped would get the message. I can't put into words the massive impact you've had on the quality of my life, and consciousness. I've understood what you've been saying since your "Spiritual Enlightenment - The Most SHOCKING Truth You'll Ever Hear", video.
I just opened the video to get the title to mention it here, and it has 11k likes, and 1.1k dislikes, talk about synchronicity...
Hope you read this and it gives you some joy, I get it Leo. We are LITERALLY one. I've confirmed this VISUALLY, in ways that language is too limited to explain. Years of meditation and mushroom trips have shown me. The mushrooms were definitely part of the breakthrough I had to understanding that everything is one thing. I saw it VISUALLY through my direct experience.

From "my" perspective, the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein is also a great intellectual to study these theme and the relations between subjects and objects, existence and non existence. And, yes, "I" agree that the ego (sel-fsystem) and the meaning are constructions. Another thesis, words and perspective is that the Universe is only Information. Following this spiritual path, life and being can be amazing.

I’ve been following Leo for 4yrs now, as well as doing a lot of other work. I’ve gradually come to understand certain facets of Awakening, God, Truth, Reality, etc. but I really struggled with this lesson on Perception. Until today! I just rewatched, having done another year or so of hard work, and this time to combination lock clicked into place. I couldn’t stop laughing and writing. Realization after realization. Hysterical laughter. Then sadness. Then laughter. Then nothing. It all went away and I couldn’t see it anymore. But something lingers. Maybe another four or five years of hard work before I can see it and keep seeing it!

Lately in my meditations I'm able to "remove myself from the equation" more easily. It is like a movie is playing with no one watching, but it's there all the same.

With due respect, world of science is so much focused on formulas and calculations which are also product of a perception chain developed since years. Actually all explanations are always with us naturally. What we need to do is to think to sync ourselves with where we come from ....”the nature”

You are raising a very interesting point that perception does not exist without subject. Well subject also experiences its own body(object - like its brain, different limbs etc) and thus its own body does not exist either. Thus subject does not exist either. And thus nothing exists. Additionally if there is no subject, what happens when brain injury happens, our perceptions get distorted and thus by that evidence it suggests that brain is creating perceptions.

    Neuropsychopharmacologist & professor, David Nutt:
    "Drugs without the hot air"
    Aldous Huxely:
    "Doors of perception"
    James Lanza:
    "Beyond BioCentrism"
Stephen Harrod Bughner (recommended by Dennis McKenna, on Joe Rogan podcast):
"Plant Intelligence in the Imaginal Realm"
    Rupert Sheldrake
    "The science Delusion"
    (...)
Those books helped me better understand sensory gating (the doors of perception as Aldous put it) and how they work in the brain. Understanding that and listening to a lot Alan Watts will really help reinforce the meaning of all this, from a non-mechanistic & non-materialist viewpoint.

you're basically saying the same thing as the materialist. you're saying there's perceptual world floating around and the materialist says there's a materialistic world floating around. what's the difference???
but the only difference is that in the materialist view there is an external world and then a sentient being creating the perception but what you say is there is only perception so no one is needed to create the perceptions but that doesn't make sense since this biological thing like a human is still there and clearly it's doing sth but you say no it's not it's just there and if you say the biological is doing sth but only the ego has been taken out of the picture then you're basically not saying anything different.

    • @ActualizedOrg

      @wladicus1 5 лет назад

_ Sara - if you take this all the way then there is 1) no you, me, I, they... 2) no ego 3) no mind 4) no universe (i.e. no worlds, no other people, no animals - NOTHING).
_ All the above 'things' is what duality encompasses.
_ From an ADVAITA (not two or non-duality) perspective, there is NOTHING, i.e. NO THING. Things are of the mind - i.e. thoughts. NO THING is beyond what thought could ever conceive and thus not available to perception which is illusion.
_ In essence there is no object and no subject. Those are constructs of thought.
_ Because there APPEARS to be an external world, duality, we call that ONE and only "thing" that exists CONSCIOUSNESS or AWARENESS ... but it is still a limited projection of thought/mind/ego which fears its own demise and tries to justify its own existence even though it is not real.
_ REALITY is beyond description or explanation. The truth is in silence, in stillness, in the space between words or thoughts.
_ BEING ... the present participle of the verb TO BE is possibly as close as thought can come to "pointing" at the nature of reality. It IS or I AM - to be ... being. No qualifications, no descriptions, no thought about it at all - for it is beyond all thought.
That which appears to be NOTHING (NO THING) is EVERYTHING but not really a 'THING'. It is the limitation of language (which is dualistic in nature) which prevents "SELF-realization". Not the personal self, but what one might call the universal self or BEING or even God if you wish to use that word.
_ Everything else is illusion, like the water in the mirage in the desert. __ The mirage is an appearance of 'some thing' - BUT there is actually NO THING there. This, of course may be a poor analogy, but it points towards the elusive nature of the topic under discussion.

    • @cpgm100
      @cpgm100 5 лет назад +1

I have to say this. of all the times leo doesn't make sense, this is one of a kind. you basically ended with the same thing you began with. I don't know how all that could possibly make sense even in your head. colors are not floating around in the universe. colors are just waves floating in space, not colors. you started with how things were when there were only steroids in the space and obviously there is no need to even say anyone has to know about them and no one would even think that way cause that's what would make sense in the first place and you start from that and get to the same thing. you did not resolve anything all you did was to say it can't be resolved well I don't know what to say to that ...
i was really hoping you could give an explanation to that question but really you don't make sense at all. just watch that video again and see how you're not making any sense

  • @adamdownes4725
    @adamdownes4725 5 лет назад

I was contemplating on what video to watch next, and I'm glad I chose this one because this is the cleanest and most practical explanation for enlightenment I've come across. As you were talking I was becoming more and more aware and alert to this moment, and very peaceful at the prospect that there's no experiencer, because that's the end of all suffering! No target that's been aimed at. And it makes perfect sense why it's hard to realise, that there's no fireworks or angels flying down it's simply a re-interpretation of reality. That same reality that's always been here.
I'm surprised that I wasn't feeling much fear, but just pure awareness and starkness to my bedroom that is still very fresh now. And my body feeling lighter and more energised. Maybe it's because I've had enough suffering that I don't feel so attached to myself anymore, who knows. Could be proved wrong and get an ego backlash some other time but for now this little insight into Truth feels amazing.

My own visualization is something quite similar. Take an inflated balloon and everything inside the balloon is what we think of as reality, or this current world we inhabit. But we are always outside the balloon and the only way we experience the world is by poking into the balloon.
Of course, by poking into the balloon, we never get to experience the reality because it's similar to that of a condom. We're wrapped in this balloon as we poke around. We are never able to see things for what they are because the balloon material distorts our vision of what reality is. But for some people, just experiencing the world with a condom around us is just not enough. We feel that there's something more. We begin our seeking and as we 'sharpen' ourselves through spiritual purification, increasing awareness and focus, emotional awareness, improving physical health, we can get sharp enough to 'pop' the balloon, finally being able to see reality for what it is.

Very deep core metaphysical point here, Leo!
"Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." - The Gospel of Thomas

Rewatched Zendevilry and the 10 Things I Wasn't Aware I Wanted and it all came flowing back to me. I am here to do nothing more than to master "experience." What do I experience? What do you experience? How little control do I have over these things? Is there perhaps a window I have into other's experience and what doesn't that mean? Starting this year off the right way. I know you are too, Leo.

Thanks Leo. I've come to some of these conclusions on my own having watched your videos over the past year and implementing the teaching in my life. One thing I've been practicing is increasing the amount of time in my day without thought. I do it when I walk, sit still, even drive home from work. I can often do it for over a minute now....with truly now thoughts.

As to paraphrase, to add to something that Terence McKenna said...
What advantage does the knowledge of others truly give? Subjective understanding is so much more valuable. As Leo promotes, it is the personal exploration that matters...
You comment like you're pointing a finger... No one can say that you have the correct ideas either. It does not agree with your own definitions, so its much easier to judge.
I suppose what I'm saying is... Give us some hints to what is missing or stay silent. What purpose is behind an aimless comment?

The ego is your astrological programming .. get a natal chart down and know thycellf so you can embrace yourcellf not kill it.
The god we all are would love to be you that’s why you exist. Without the ego The god we all are could not experience itscellf subjectively to enjoy its illusion of itcellf.
