No. The Switch is not backwards compatible at all. Which sucks. I thought they'd atleast have backwards compatibility with the Wii U Pro Controller. Unless they build a CD drive add on it's not even possible to play Wii U games on it since there's no place to even insert the CDs.

They announced Pokemon Stadium 3 so I guess it's close enough, but if you want an actual Pokemon game that wouldn't work, because you would need a second screen for all the battle UI and stuff like that, unless you want half of the TV screen to be the game and half what would normally be the bottom screen, which would look disgusting in every way possible.
I guess they could have a little thing like the Gameboy would work, as long as it doesn't look out of place and kinda strange since the games are in 3D.
