I'm so moved by their shared memories of serving time together in an orphanage, a boy of 11 doing his upmost to step into the protective role, ensuring his little 8 year old sister felt safe and cared for, then callously separated by the system, compounding the loss of their mother and then their father, leaving them with deep wounds they'd carry for decades, and now in the final frail days of their lives, they're suddenly those two children once more, hand in hand, sitting by the ocean.

When the time comes and I am the only one left, I won't have anyone to reminisce with, someone to still call family, someone who I could turn to. There's always been a hole in my life for a sibling. The power of love and longing for family is exemplified in their story! Terrible that they were orphaned and parted! Magnificent that after so long, they were reunited! God bless them both! 😊❤😊

This was so bittersweet to me. I rejoice that they reunited but I mourned the cruel decision of separating the two vulnerable, precious children, thus causing them to miss years of support, companionship, love, time and memories. Heart wrenching to say the least. I am so touched by their enduring love and devotion for one another and wish them both many more years, in health and happiness catching up for lost time. 💖
