Making the most of the time they have left-I hope they have as many years as possible. They both must be in their 90s just about, but I hope they can make up for some of that lost time at least.
And what pure love that kept them looking for each other!! In those 70 years , world has gone topsy turvy but he still kept looking for her. Amazingly heartwarming ❤
I think there should be some record when siblings are separated that they can go directly to to find their siblings once they are over 18. It’s terrible these two lost so many years together, but I am so happy for them to have found each other finally.
This whole story had me in tears. How awful as children to go through that. Then live your life not knowing where the other part of all you have left is. I'm very happy they got to reconnect. I love that they have daily phone calls
This made me cry. I sure know that their father's last thought was about them. I love my siblings, we've been through hell and back. My family means the world to me.
It was very emotional for me too. I am the eldest of 9 siblings. In the span of 18 months I lost 3 brothers ( healthy and strong 💪) from complications related to Covid and my dad died ( of a broken heart) shortly after burying his 3rd son , he was 95 years old and was healthy and strong . We ( as a family) always say “I love you “ to each other at the end of the day 😊. You never know when it’s going to be the last time you get to say it.
I’m so happy for them I can’t stop bawling my eyes out. Siblings should NEVER be separated by adoption! Never! So glad they both lived to find each other again. What a joy to see them together again.
I'm so moved by their shared memories of serving time together in an orphanage, a boy of 11 doing his upmost to step into the protective role, ensuring his little 8 year old sister felt safe and cared for, then callously separated by the system, compounding the loss of their mother and then their father, leaving them with deep wounds they'd carry for decades, and now in the final frail days of their lives, they're suddenly those two children once more, hand in hand, sitting by the ocean.
Somewhat reminds me of the Irish tale of the Children of Lir. Cursed as children to be swans for centuries they finally reunite as frail old people just before dying.
I'm crying. They went through the trauma of losing their mum and dad together. They were all they had, and they were separated. I'm so glad they have each other now. ❤

Crying buckets! What a blessing for them, they now have each other again. I've got most of my brothers and the one sister alive yet we are all estranged and not talking to one another, all due to betrayal. Some people search for their siblings all their lives ready to love them, others throw away any love for a couple of coins...Heartbreaking.
A friend of mine had an adopted sister. When they learned that she had a baby sister, their friends adopted her. They didn't grow up in the same family, but they went to the same schools and always knew they were sisters. My friend called the baby sister, "my sis's sis"
These stories always make me cry. It's wonderful they have reunited, but it just reinforces the pain of loneliness I've always felt as an only (adult) child. When the time comes and I am the only one left, I won't have anyone to reminisce with, someone to still call family, someone who I could turn to. There's always been a hole in my life for a sibling.
