- Todays RUclips Tutorial I will be showing you how to undo send messages on iPhone 14 Pro Max and and iPhone with the new iOS 16 software update. You will learn how to edit iMessage after its been sent and how to unsend iPhone messages. Keep in mind both the sender and receiver of the message would have to have installed iOS 16 for this to work. Mind isn’t working it was but the feature is gone completely ?
It would be nice if any (no matter how old) msgs could be unsent or deleted

do you know if it’ll still show the message “may still see message on devices where it hasn’t been updated” if they in fact did update it already? Or does it only show that message if they don’t have the update?
If they don’t have iOS 16 then the message won’t unsend on their side.
If I unsend a message will it say “ person Unsent a message “ on their lock screen
I only had a delete option. I hope that removed the text. The message I sent I really didn’t want seen

Can you unsend a text if the person has already read it?
Yes as long as it wasn’t too old.
The person that you send the message to can still read the deleted message if they have iPhone in their hand and read immediately?
Yes of course but if you delete it, it will disappear on their end even after they read it
This only works when messages are sent to iPhone uses?

Sorry was responding to another comment and I guess I had it in the wrong box. As for your question, this will work with any iPhone, mac or iPad I believe with the latest software installed on both sides (sender and recipient).
If I accidentally unsent something is there a way I can get it back?
Not that I know of.
for some reason i don’t have edit or undo send, but last time i did
Some apps block this but you can try restarting the iPhone and see if that helps.

I do not get "undo send" at all. IOS 17
If I send a message to someone who does NOT have iOS 16, will I still get the “‘You unsent a message” or will I get something like “can’t unsend”? In other words is there any way of the sender being notified if the message was NOT unsent?
If they have any version of iOS that is lower then iOS 16, even if you unsend the message they will still see it. As for anyone with iOS 16 or later, you can’t remove the “you unsent a message” notification.

Thanks but maybe I wasn’t clear. Let’s say I try to unsend a message to someone who doesn’t have iOS16. Will I get a “can’t unsend message” notification or ANY kind of notification that my message wasn’t unsent?

Hello hi ; I did install the iOS 16 but I still can’t delete the msgs from his side😢 please I wonder why?
If they don’t have iOS 16 or if they are older messages sent, then you can’t.

If both SENDER and RECEIVER has to have iOS16, does that mean that this new feature is useless if your friends with Iphones haven't updated, or if they have Samsung phones???

I tried to send a video to messages to my friend that was over 1 minute long.
It said it was too long to send.
It asked me if I wanted to send a smaller part of the video. It gave the option to say ok or cancel.
I didn’t want to hurt the video or shorten it.
For that reason I hit the cancel button and not the ok button. The video is still sitting there waiting. It won’t let me do anything. I am afraid to hit the ok button because I don’t want it to shorten my video. I hit cancel hoping it would just not send the video and go back to before I tried to send it. I don’t know what to do.
I tried to exit the windows and that didn’t work. It’s still sitting there.
Do you know what I should do, and has this ever gained to you? I hope I explained it good enough for you to understand what I mean is going on.

If you update to iOS 16 or later then it will work.
If it’s green then what?
Unfortunately you can’t unsend it. Only iMessages
Don’t give me option unsend on my message
Make sure you are updated to the latest version of iOS and it only works with messages that have been sent within I believe 5 or 15 min, not sure exactly

Both devices need to be updated to latest version of iOS. Also old messages can’t be undone
My unsend isn’t working. My friend and I both updated to iOS 16. her messages are deleting and mine isn’t . It’s showing me on my end that it’s deleted but it’s not deleting on her end and her messages are deleting right befor my eyes. Super Weird

@@SPIN_89 I updated my iPad and my watch, tried again and it worked. Maybe try that and see. But it’s stupid that it’s their biggest addition to iOS 16 and it’s not working 🤣. WhatsApp has had the deleting feature for a while now and it works flawlessly.

Only pro, max and iPhon 14 models have it now. More iPhones will get support when iOS 16.1 is released I believe this month.

@@DHTV hey I’m updated to IOS 16.11 on iPhone 13 Pro Max and when I send messages it turns green not blue and I can’t unsend or edit do you know the problem does it not work with my phone and also the phone I’m texting doesn’t have ios16 updated
