- I'm often asked what is the best needle for PMU, be it brows, lip blush or eyeliner. It can be really confusing so here is a PMU guide to which needle suits which permanent make up treatment, style and client.
I'm a permanent artist and trainer and in this video I will talk about client skin type and also about pmu machines to help you make better needle choices to give you great retention and avoid trauma. I cover what is the best needle for machine brows in which situations.
Do you know the difference between a 1RL needle, a 3RL needle and shader needles? would you know when to use a magnum needle and why?
I will show you how to find all the relevant details on the packet. I'll be using a kwadron needle here but I also use vertix needles too.

For powderbrows do you use LongTaper oder MediumTaper? Or which one for what skin types?

There is no specific needle that’s better for touch ups. Each client is different so it depends on the client rather than whether it’s a touch up or first session. There is this video on colour boosts. You may find this helpful

Which hurts more? Microblading wasnt too bad and 2 x numbing cream was used on mine, but i wondered if anyone can compare?
Ombré hurts less, the blade is archaic.
so if I have an older client with fragile skin, can I use a
3RS if I just want to do hairstrokes and a little shading?

I am a newly qualified microblading artist that was taught with a hand tool. I also did a removal course using a machine. I'm wondering if I can teach myself PMU with machine or is it a legal requirement to get a course qualification for machine use?
You should definitely take a course. It’s a completely different ball game and it’s people’s faces at the end of the day.

Hi, I just started with you online trainings.I just purchased the Biomaster P300 device (with pedal) and was wondering if I can use for ombre eybrow 1R-0.3 S ,any safety membrane cartridge needle with it. Since I keep hearing these are better cartridges. I have been trying everywhere in the internet from amazon to ALiexpress and google and it seems like there is no answer for it. Would you please let me know if possible to use and what brand or from where to buy it?
Hun I have a digital Biomaser and to my knowledge only Biomaser can be used in these machines. Yep no membrane, so I only use it occasionally giving times for germs to die 😊

Soo magnum are good for filling color for lips ?? And RS? What number for magnum please
Magnums can go up to quite high numbers for body tattoos. I use 5 or 7 but to be honest I don’t use them a lot for lips myself. Lots of people do love them and get great results.

Hello. I have one question. Which needle you prefer for powder brows? 0,25, 0,30 or 0,35?
It depends on the client’s skin. I use anything from a 1RL 0.25 to a 7 magnum. The client dictates what needle I use.

Yes, excessive bleeding and weeping is a sign of too much trauma.
