Diese Musik war der Traum meiner Jugend. Zwei Mal durfte ich Rick live erleben bevor Ekseption sich leider verabschiedete. Heute noch wird es mir warm um mein Herz wenn ich diese Musik höre. Vielen DANK Rick. Deine Musik tat mir gut!!

About thirty years ago, I've played a composition by Rick van der Linden with my companions of a symphonic wind orchestra and a women's choir. I think to remember the title was "choral" or something like that. It was so beautiful that a lot of musicians forgot to play when the should but just sat there in the orchestra, astonished by the sound of there companions and the women singing just "AAAhh". Does anyone know the exact title of this composition and if so, does it exists on track, cd, streaming service or anything???
@@Yankeededandy62 and i just have to agree. the horn section in the original version adds very much to the song, and it's a pity that it was not a part of this performance. also, the rest of the band seems to be rather bored .. there is no comparison to the playing and energy of the original version. but i still would have loved to see rick even in those later performances .. there are always moments where his 70s feeling and attitude shines through :) .. so sad he has gone way too early...
Personally both have a similar music taste. Emerson was the summit, but every day I discover some new musical gifts from the legacy of mr. Rick Van der Linden and he was really a Master!!
@@synthonaplinth5980 Right. But weird. Lots of music made by Rick in ekseption was based on Procol Harum. And there the guitar player is very important. And can't be missed...!
Rick van der Linden, Jon Lord, Jordan Rudess, Rick Wakeman, Kevin Moore, Thijs van Leer, Keith Emerson, Viktor Borge... the list goes on 😅
One of the best Keyboarder : Rick van der Linden and Keith Emerson 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
En Rick wakeman uiteraard
👍

Mir tut sie immer noch gut...auch ich habe ekseption 2x erleben dürfen, und im Grunde meines Herzens zehre ich immer noch davon.

Großartig!
Both a Johannus and Hammond organ in the same room. Two products I'm proud to represent!
Scratch Johannus off the list.
The Best Rick !!

Isn't this tune known as Peace Planet from Ekseption's 3rd album? Of course it was composed by J. S. Bach...
Groot artiest

This ain’t Happines but Peace Planet.
Je recherche le morceau original, c'est horrible le trou de mémoire...
Quelqu'un pour raviver mes neurones ?
Badinerie JS Bach suite n2...
I believe 1972
Bach
Prachtig. Alleen jammer van de mindere opnamekwaliteit.
Da hat er aber ein Tempo vorgelegt..
I always liked Ekseption but I disliked the trumpets. This sounds fantastic!
I beg to differ: the "air" of the trumpets were a great counterpoint to the organ.

Rein van der Broek was sensational on trumpet and fluegelhorn
He’s better than kieth ‘Emerson.Rick van der linden is the Hammond B3 king he’s god
This is only your personal opinion! It is a question of taste! You cannot compare Rick van der Linden with Keith Emerson!!!!
I agree, Emerson is a great guy and everything but he is not Rick van der Linden.
Personally both have a similar music taste. Emerson was the summit, but every day I discover some new musical gifts from the legacy of mr. Rick Van der Linden and he was really a Master!!
Yes, Rick 'was' the Dutch Emerson and heavily inspired by hem too in the The Nice period :-)
Emerson stays the composer and innovative player that influenced all the others…
Moraz and Wakeman are different.
Easy to play for Rick. A crime for the bass player. ..well done though!
Good thing they turned the guitarist down, he wasn't really adding anything.

zo vind je ze nooit meer als rick!!!!!!!
The Nice did this kind of thing so much better.....
