As a former cast member, I worked at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight cafe during the 25th Anniversary of WDW it’s nice to see that many things haven’t changed. I enjoyed being a cast member. The Magic Kingdom is still my favorite Park, mainly because I have tons of happy memories there.

The best moment I can recall having was after driving a monorail, on my days off I would sometimes go into the park. Meeting people that are return visitors, and their kids , several of us if we saw any parents with special needs children taking the time to be with them and assist them thru the park. When they became a return guest and recognize you in the park and seeing their smiles and the child happiness and excitement. One thin I can say and Olivia will agree with "Once you work inside a Disney park, it never leaves your system".

You and The trackers are the only Disney vlogging channels that I really watch..(the Potter collector too) and Disney sends them tickets to the food and wine festival and the flower and garden.. it's cool to see Disney really supporting the little guys!

But also I am really scared that I wouldn't get along with my roommates, since I live in Eu and I wanna do College in USA and I haven't figured it out yet and omg I'm just so excited! Can't wait until it's my turn.
I was going to do a DCP my next fall semester and it already got pushed back to spring because of a program I'm in at my school, and I've been super bummed because I doubt that will even be possible with the coronavirus. The fact you said do it later actually makes me feel a lot better, I'm a very dedicated student and it makes a lot more sense to wait.
oh dang :/ Hopefully that gives things time to get back to normal!! and yeah, I always recommend doing the program later - I think it provides a nice break while still preserving the motivation to finish the degree. Best of luck!

My uncle works for Disney and doing the DCP while I get my degree to be a choir teacher is my dream! I grew up going to Disney and it's honestly my life! I'm a junior in highschool right now but I've had my sights set on going out for the DCP since I found out about it!

I’m gonna be a character performer at my local amusement park, so do you have any general tips for characters? I’m gonna be a pretty vague character, so I’m kinda nervous
That's so awesome! i'd say just keep your energy up and if a guest tries to hurt you, stand your ground and don't take it! good luck :)
Would you be a character performer again and if what character would you want to be
Disney should make more parks, I think they should ATLEAST have one more in Europe and I would like one in Norway. Instead of the normal castle they would have arendells castle and in the winter they will make a ice castle somewhere! And they could have reindeer tours, and Olaf’s sledding! And a ton of hot chocolate! And also who did you hang out with?
Wow! I thought you just didn't give details to preserve the magic. It never occurred to me there would be a safety aspect to that. It makes sense though after that story you told.

Thats how I found out able the college program originally campus representatives, my freshman year which makes so much sense why i didn't see them the year after ended up forgetting about it for awhile and then my senior year in college someone I knew on facebook did the program also stumbled upon videos on youtube and I applied and got accepted Fall 2016 - summer 2017 alum
Yes!! It's so weird that they let go of them but I guess they figured people would find out in other ways! I'm glad you got to participate though
Possible future question: Are supervisors at Disney promoted from within their own ranks? Or do they get shifted around, and not necessarily have direct experience in what they're supervising?
Yeah, they are! So like a merchandise cast member will be promoted to coordinator who can then be promoted to be merchandise leader. There are a LOT of avenues to become a leader, but from my knowledge, you are in the area that you are familiar with haha. That being said, if you're merchandise in Dinoland let's say, they might move you (or you can put in a transfer) for a different location that possible you've never worked in before. BUT it's not like a merch person will become an attractions leader or anything like that

Nope! The bus takes you to Walmart, and then you can take a Lyft or if someone has a car you can go to the other shopping places in the area

I mean, it's what needed to be done so I support it! Guests and cast members alike are sad the parks are closed but unfortunately there's not much you can do when there's a global pandemic :/

Olivia Simone, I understand how someone would be cast as a costumed character (mickey,minnie,daisy) but how would one get cast in a show such as Fantasmic? Are all mickeys trained for fantasmic as well as meet and greets, or are there designated mickeys?
Being a show performer requires a different audition than a regular meet and greet performer (from my understanding)
My question: If you had the chance to go to Alton Towers in England, would you ride "The Smiler"?
I don't ride roller coasters, so no 😂

I'm not the only grown-butt adult who doesn't ride roller coasters?!
Almost everyone I know will go on them even if they don't like roller coasters; but I just flat out won't go on them.
i remember in 2014 we were walking through main street USA in the magic kingdom and the festival of fantasy parade was passing through but somehow they let us walk the opposite direction and we managed to walk past all the floats
oh that's great! It's kind of fun seeing the parade in fast motion without having to sit and wait 30 minutes to watch!
Can you be a cast member or performer if you are disabled? Especially for those in a wheelchair but also hidden disabilities like epilepsy or having a heart problem, etc ?
A performer - I would think not since the disability would inhibit them from doing the role. However, there are cast members in other areas that have disabilities!

Trista Head You know, it’s a funny story. One day I was sitting in the Dinosaur break room, feeling out of place since everyone else was an attractions cast member. Next thing I know, some girl grabs an ENTIRE box of cheez it’s out of her bag and says hi to me. Ends up offering me a ride home later that night since we both got off at the same time and figured out we lived in the same apartment complex. Turned out her roommate also worked with MY roommate! Anyway, ‘‘twas the start of a beautiful friendship. I’m counting down the days til I get to see her again

Amanda Brock starting April 19th all US based non essential cast that is not union has been furloughed. Meaning we will not be paid but keep our benefits. A job placeholder basically
I have a question! Is it more competitive to get into the WDW dcp or the Disneyland dcp?
Disney-lovin Gal My guess is it’s more difficult to get into Disneyland because there are fewer slots. You can apply to both though when you fill out the original application!
Dang, I put my CFA experience in my application and got QSFB. Lol
Now I know for next time!

Unfortunately, that's not currently a position offered as a Disney College Program participant. You can audition separately though!

There were times when I'd be at home, in my apartment, and when my roommates said something funny I would cover my mouth with my hand and bounce my shoulders instead of actually laughing out loud 😂 And Penn State is my favorite hockey team!

Fantastic question and I have NO CLUE what that answer is lol Regular costumes are sold at Cast connections and sell out pretty quickly. No idea what they do with entertainment costumes

Its weird how someone into psychology would like the Bachelor, given how fake and damaging it is to society regarding healthy/unhealthy relationships.
Are the relationships unrealistic? Absolutely. I find it fascinating how these contestants "fall in love" so quickly, the tricks the producers use to make us think certain things will happen, and the way Bachelor Nation chooses sides and reacts to the show. My friend and I were discussing how this reality dating model is outdated. The show has become a place for people who want to be influencers or are rising influencers to gain fame, the "love" part is a bonus. It used to be genuine people trying to find their person, and now it's a competition for who can get the most air time and followers. I definitely think the show needs a revamp!
