In this tutorial, I demo my workflow for using the incredible Library functionality of Excire Foto with the excellent editing capabilities of Luminar Neo. Get more info about that Excire Foto, Luminar Neo bundle that I talked about in the video here: skylum.evyy.net/gb0ADO If you already own Luminar Neo and wish to buy Excire Foto alone, go to Excire's site here: excireinc.pxf.io/oeMOxE use the discount code: LUMINAR25 to save 25% on Excire Foto. Thank you!
Super video, I used to do DXO and Luminar Neo, but I can see how fast Excire Foto is; wow, very impressed; especially showing us how you can combine these two software programs; thank you very much for this!!!😃😃
Where in Excire Foto can I find a starter Controlled Vocabulary of keywords, preferably with user-defined hierarchies and relationships? Where is face recognition and the ability to select or define relationships between or among the named faces? It's nice to recognize a waterfall, but where are the GPS coordinates and flexible place names for finding the waterfall again? These questions are DAM old and should be answered here.
Very interesting software. Being a sklyum software is it only working with edits in skylum or can you send them out to any of the various editing software. Also is this one of their extensions available in the new bundle of 7 they are introducing.
@@jlopez7596 it is not quite the same with Lr. That last step "open with" does not have a Lr option. Here's how I use it and my work flow. I copy my images to my hard drive, I then send the images to Exire where they are analyzed and keyworded, I then add some of my own key words that excire could not possibly know like specific location name or an event name, then in excire I store the Metadata, I then open Lr and import as normal and all keywords both excires and mine will be present for each photo. Now if I need to search for keywords I use only Lr. If I want to search for faces, animals, or whatever in the images themselves I will use the excire searches. Once I have the results excire shows me the location of the image and I can easily locate it in Lr. When I first got excire I had it analyse all of my 70,000 image Lr catalog and then import the metadata into Lr.
good evening Anthony from Europe and thank you very much for your excellent videos. Altough I have beside Luminar Neo also ON1, after watching your video I downloaded eXcire and enjoyed very much. Having dicided to buy it, I have introduced the discount code LUMINAR25 and to my surprise the answer was "this discount code has expired". Are you aware of this problem and, if so, do you know if there is a discount code replacing the expired?. Thank you very much for your answer. Louis
But but but... there is something missing or not? The usual workflow would be: sorting the images, edit them and then exporting them or print them or do something with them. If the edits in Luminar are not visible in Excire, you have to export all pictures separately in Luminar, right? And not with Excire like you would do with Lightroom?
I use Excire and it does a pretty good job in the searches but this video white washes it a little bit as you are searching a small portion of your library. If you searched your full library for big cats I know that you will also come up with your pet cats that we have often seen and probably Grandma's tabby as well and a search for horses will come up with a few zebras. This is not a bad thing but we should not make it seem perfect 😀

Your discount of 25% for Excire works. Thank you!!
Thankfully, I think ON1 2023 has this keyword feature included in it’s program at no extra cost other than the upgrade cost.

Wow. Will it bring in and respect expiring keywords that are already written to the files?
Anthony, what is the difference between Excire Foto and Excire Search?
Excire Foto is a stand alone application and Excire Search is a plugin for Lightroom Classic.

Excire is not a Skylum product. They have their own website. Skylum is offering a bundle with them.
I use it in a similar manner with Lightroom
@@steveouellette8344 thanks for clarifying this and i did find their website.
@@dktraveller8364 so you are able to send it directly from excire to LR. It would be interesting to see what other programs it interfaces with.

Is the duplicate finder any good? I’d love to see that demoed!
Yeah it is. Ive had it for the past two years. I don't use it as often as I should do though. But it works well.
