AWESOME caboose and Cincinnati Eastern rock train! That's crazy to see that derailed rock train! Good to see the dogs, horse, and goats. Thanks for sharing JT!
Your videos are very informitive. Its amazing what we can learn not only from the trains, but the older buildings that are no longer in use. I remember hearing about the train derailment
On the First Day of winter we got about 25 CM plus of snow with more falling and more to come. CCET has really made corrections at the crossing. in winter a good thermos of coffee is always good to have. Thank You.
We have only had a couple of snow falls. Not much and it melts quick. Yes, the Yooper Chook will be back in service soon. Right now everything is frozen but the temps vary a lot
Another great video JT and did you ever find out when they gonna open the Parina plant. I bet when they do Cincinnati and eastern is gonna see a lot of rail traffic then but anyway, my friend as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
I enjoyed watching this video of an empty rock train traveling eastbound on the former Norfolk Southern Peavine through Mt. Orab, Ohio and at locations to the east toward Sardinia, Ohio. Jaw Tooth! Thank you for inserting that short segment on the derailment that occurred on 4 April 2024. It is amazing to see the damage that can occur when a train derails. (Posted on 21 December 2024 at 1525 CST.)
You got that right! When I go through drive throughs the employees always want to see her. Sometimes they give her food. She really gets excited when she knows she gets to ride
This is a nice Saturday morning for watching trains and drinking some coffee as always a lot of great trains going through Ohio with a look at the tracks where the derailment took place several months later along with the awesome amazing super pets featuring Chessi and the other dogs and cats at home as well as the rock and roll music slide show Thanks again Jaw Tooth/Brian Merry Christmas.🎄🚂🚃🚃🇺🇲🎄
Well it’s little wonder that they had a derailment, when was the last time they had a track maintenance crew in that area. Looked like the ties were more splintered than solid. What was left probably wouldn’t have even burned very well without a healthy dousing of gasoline.
I had a horse just like yours. It was wild when my dad bought her for me. We brought her to a place to be saddle broke. I was walking her across a pasture from the trailer to our barn when she kicked me on the butt with her rear leg. Knocked me on said butt however I never let go of the lead. She snorted a lot which meant she was frightened. It took a few months of work before we could ride her without getting thrown. We borrowed a big plow horse and dragged her until she relented and started trotting along. When she tired out we got on her and rode until I was thrown a few times. I was 14 so I didn't break or sprain anything. She was skittish for a couple of years then she morphed into a sweet puppy. She was bred and delivered a great little paint filly who became my 9 year old sister's horse. Being too little to get on her I would saddle the pony up everyday after school for her to ride until she got big enough for me to teach her how to do it herself.
Aaawww, I hope they have funding (or have a fundraiser) to repair the station and caboose. Cincinnati Eastern Railroad is my favorite. 9 hopper and 8 gondola. They did a fantastic repair to the derailment area. TY for adding in the derailment video. TY for the shorts, stills, Pets and AAAWWW Shucks. You live in a nice place. Is that building in Mt Oreb that is boarded up going to be torn down?
Hey Brian, my thought is about the station and caboose...isn,t anyone interested in restoring both, it is sad to see the condition...they should sell to someone who will !
En route to pick up chilled gravel and soon it will be even harder to ship If it freezes to the side walls and clog the bottom doors. Since that derailment one really wouldn't know that mishap occurred there. Interesting close-ups of the part of the car one doesn't see on the underside plus after you photograph the handbrake and turn to the left you can actually see the Twist on the car body. Visits from the real horsepower as the dogs tryi to find their old bones. Life in the country gotta love it
Hello, thanks for this new video. A few days ago I discovered that a lot of wood rots, not because of the action of insects or termites, but because of rainwater. I have a shed that lost part of its roof and where there was contact with rainwater, the wood rotted. The rest of the wood that is under the roof is healthy. Incredible. Rainwater is supposed to be clean and harmless. Happy Christmas and New Year to you.
Yes, water is very destructive. It destroys wood and anything it comes into contact with. Water is my biggest challenge to my farm. Anyway, Merry Christmas!
It is very interesting to see the changes in the grade crossing. Welded rail is gone, replaced by jointed. Old telegraph poles are gone also......... Thanks, Brian.
Love the CCET live action JT. Thinking you should be getting some kinda fee from their marketing team 😂. Gee you got close to that derailment. Good to see it before and after.
A cool rock train, JT! Thank you! I liked the trestle shot, too. 😎 As always, I loved seeing your pets! Brandi looked like she was doing well. I'm happy to see that. I hope you, your family, and pets have a super weekend! 😃😃😃😃😃❤❤❤❤❤
Great video Mr jawtooth hope this is a great year for you and your family have a great weekend and keep making more till the end of the year 2024 next year is 2025!!
Certainly 🙏🙏 & condolences for those families! Are Railroads self insured or privately insured? How do they cover or recover the cost of repairing tracks after derailment? How would it possibly be transferred to consumers? Appreciate answers from anyone who knows, TY!
1st, wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much and have a nice day and night, merry Christmas.
Beautiful rock train, scenery, music. Sad derailment 😢will watch this again on our Roku TV enjoying this!😊 I love Chessie. Such a sweet girl. You've got sweet fur babies. Thanks Mr JT for sharing clips of them. As a retired ACO I still love animals. Be blessed.❤😊
Where did you catch the train derailment at because I've been trying the Romans truck sold in the traffic there's an airplane's going down and just curious where it's at
Does NS ever use those tracks tooth? Or just strictly CE? Were they able to salvage any of those rock cars? Does CE own them? Had to be a pretty costly derailment, costumers left high and dry for a while as well
Norfolk Southern has not run a train on this line since CCET started leasing it. I filmed the very last NS train. Most of the cars were salvaged. CCET keeps the cars on this line and they never leave the line. They only use them for the rock shuttles
Was that all new rail that was used to repair that derailment. Does the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad have their own MOW group that do the repairs when it arises or as needed. Thanks, jawtooth!!
Thanks for watching! I actually came across a place where there was a ladder and a roll of the wire next to the pole line. The insulators might be worth more lol
Great Video, Jaw Tooth. And you and your family, and pets, Have a wonderful Christmas, enjoy yourselves. And remember to make time for a devotion and writings of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Good to see 3512 back. The old blue should have been used for a DPU in back. Maybe it wouldn't wheel slip so bad if it was pushing instead of pulling.
Cute animals Brian!!! My dog is also a rescue. His name is Shadow and he's a terrier mix.
Awesome! Thanks for helping a dog. Terriers are really nice dogs.
@JawTooth no problem. He is such a spoiled brat. Lol.

Hello Railroad,we gonna make a oversize truck move over your track, can we get a STOP and CHECK train order for your train at mile post ### .

Yes but it is now a trailer manufacturer. They make trailers for vehicles

The ties look deteriorated, is that what caused the derailment??
Could have been but I had someone tell me that it was most likely a broken rail.
A lot of people got very embarassed by stealing the "copper" wire from the railroad. It was actually just a #9 steel wire that was copper plated.
Thanks for watching! I actually came across a place where there was a ladder and a roll of the wire next to the pole line. The insulators might be worth more lol
@@JawTooth The short piece of actual copper wire that secured the line to the insulator was worth more than the wire.
Eastbound and down

What ever happened to that new Purina plant ?.....you haven't filmed...... there in a long time.....how do they unload rock from those gondolas ?????
It is still being built. Should come on line early in 2025
