In Cypher 4 when RM said "oh face, not an idol" he was actually quoting what people said about him. When they debuted he got a lot of hate for being "too ugly" to be an idol, and to this day he still gets hate for it. Which is wild to me because he's fine as hell, but apparently he doesn't have the 'idol' kind of face that fits k-pop beauty standards. Also when j-hope said "all you bastards who try to rap in English" he was definitely talking about Korean rappers who use clumsy English to sound 'cool' and cover for their lack of skills. When the cyphers came out they could never have predicted they would get any of the worldwide fame they have now, so they were definitely addressing the Korean scene, not taking shots at American rappers. They wouldn't do that anyway, they're respectful of US rappers and talk a lot about how much they were inspired by the greats (actually one of their old songs 'Hip Hop Lover' is about that). It's strange looking back because they're so mega-successful now, but for years they had no idea they would get anywhere like this, it was beyond imagination, and they faced a lot of hate and sabotage... as a fan it's just crazy looking back at where we came from to where we are now!! Anyway, enjoyed your reaction just wanted to answer those two questions 💜
I don’t know if anyone mentioned it, I didn’t see a comment on it. But during the last part of ‘Run BTS’, RM finished saying “Run beautiful, run, yeah you gotta run” instead of bulletproof this time because he’s basically giving a shout out to us, ARMYs reminding us to keep moving forward too with them. I always love that he calls us beautiful. 🥹 I wish that lyric channel would fix that mistake because people always end up watching that one since it’s the most viewed. But anyway, I really enjoy your reactions sm! I just know you would die seeing the rap line do ‘Cypher pt. 3’ and ‘UGH!’ in their Busan Concert, they are an insane triple threat! 😵💫🔥💜 Edit: 55:50 A reply to your request, you would love ‘Ddaeng’ by the rap line too! Just be warned, the lyricism is actually so crazy and intricate that you will definitely need an explanation video. I believe someone recommended DKDKTV before!
33:30 I still cant get over how speechless that line left you 😭 you wont believe what he does during this line in his performances in Busan and his own DDAY tour. HE IS SUCH A MENACE 😭😭😭
black swan is about the fear of losing your passion in bts case losing passion for music. It's from the quote “a dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful” by Martha graham. Bts wrote this when they were burnt out. This song along with the entire map of the soul album is one of their most vulnerable work. I love it 🥹💜 Also bts rapline to me will always be superior. Noone is touching them😩. Cypher pt 3 is also my favorite with pt 4 as a close second. Some vocal songs recommendations to show off our lovely vocal line🤭 - house of cards - the truth untold - outro: love is not over (you can do the full length version with the 7 of them if you want) - zero o'clock - dimple - outro: luv in skool (it's short cause its just an outro but I love it so much, you can listen to it in your own time if you don't want to react to it) Borahae💜💜💜💜💜
Oh im so happy I discovered you, I LOVEEEEEE people who is getting into bts that is like you.... paying attention to the lyrics and all their voices and flows, BTS was with me during my worse moments like when I did not now what to do after y graduated, my moms death and sooooo much more and them and their lyrics are important in my life, new fans and new armys or new people who just appreciate them is always welcome
The Guide to BTS by Taylor Mari would be great for your next one. It's a little outdated (up until 2022) BUT it gives you a great introduction to the guys. And you said not a long video so 47 mins is better that the 2 hour long one. That you can just watch on your own if editing would be an issue. I know people will disagree with me but this guide (Taylor Mari) is a perfect introduction.
Girl, if you are going to watch run bts- it's mandatory to watch the dance practice or a live version. It's the choreography that goes with this song that is AMAZING.
I hate that reactors always choose that lyric video for ugh, it’s not your fault it’s always at the top but my god they mess up who sings what and the lyrics aren’t the best translated. It’s essentially about how the world abuses the word and emotion ‘anger’ and throwing it around at people when it could be really damaging and lead to serious consequences, like anger isn’t not essential in this world for things like changing the world for the better through protests etc.
Aww man that’s awful 🤦🏽♀️😭 Which part was actually Suga instead of J-Hope?!! Oh wow I love this song even more now that I know the meaning of the whole song! Thank you for telling me! 💜
The BTS rap line can’t be beat in K-pop. RM was already a well-respected underground rapper at a young age, beating older rappers in cyphers. Suga was also an underground rapper. They took a lot of sh** from the underground hip-hop community for “selling out” to become k-pop idols. When they were still trainees they took J-Hope, who was a hip-hop street dancer, under their wing and taught him how to rap. He soon developed his own style (more melodic; he’s a sub-vocalist). The majority of rappers in K-pop groups were just assigned that role by the company (usually because they can’t sing). They are taught to rap by the company, but often have very little concept of the history or the artists of the hip-hop culture. RM and Suga grew up breathing old school Western hip hop and their heros are American (RM -Nas, Suga -Eminem, J-Hope -J-Cole). They write and produce their own raps. They make rap songs, solo and together. They created mix tapes each. They put out rap songs on Spotify for free before they even debuted. They’re the real thing.
Girl, Jimin is a trained contemporary dancer!! You gotta see some of his solo dances. Its so beautiful. He is incredibly talented. I mean they all are!
I feel when it comes to our RL since they all have super different rap styles fans tend to fall in love with all 3 at some point. I love all 3 starting from Suga. but nothing wrong with having more than one bias lol
Hi! Your reactions are so fun! I actually took notes to try answering your questions *that others hadn't answered yet.* 😄 Bangtan means bulletproof. BTS originally stands for BangTan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boys or Bulletproof Boy scouts) but they did some rebranding to add Beyond the Scene as another meaning. Everyone I've talked to likes the original better. 🤭 Dope came after Danger, FYI Yes, RM was referencing the anime One Piece in the Cypher. I'm sure SUGA and the rappers were honoring that Busta Rhymes moment. You asked who he was rapping about in that Cypher -- underground rappers that publicly humiliated them after BTS signed on with their label... That's a whole 'nother story but you'll see it in a guide. Love how you're vibing with RM. ☺️ Yes, when he named all those other names starting with R, they were former stage names. Salmunori referenced in Cypher 4 is a genre of traditional Korean percussion music, so like beating on a drum. Run BTS to my knowledge doesn't sample another song but it does use a common musical progression on that section you asked about. High single note in that song at the end is Jin. Never wear hoodies when reacting to BTS unless you're prepared to sweat a lot 😆 "Ugh!" lyric video was a mess but another comment already discussed this. The producer was Supreme Boi. However, the members are accomplished producers themselves. The dance style they do in "Black Swan" is not ballet; it's called contemporary. It's Jimin's specialty because he trained formally in that style before he joined BTS.
Thank you!!❤️ Yeah I definitely like bulletproof boys/Boy Scouts the most!! Thank you for telling me the meaning of that song!! Also OMG yes RM got my attention IMMEDIATELY!! Love him already!! Oh yeah!! Contemporary dancing is the word I was looking for!!
i recommend watching ,,A guide to bts: the bangtan 7'' if you want to get to know them better. It's not up to date but has everything important about their past that new fans should know.
When song starts "You're in Danger.." And we already deeaadd :=( One of my favorite songs. Well tough to say because they have about 400 songs together.. :/ And there is just 3 or 4 that I don't absolutely LOVE.. :=( And then there is all the solo songs... Where there is several songs that have literally kept me going, for example during pandemic. And my favorite movie of all time. some people dare to claim MV can't be a favorite movie - but they have not seen it. After I have linked to them the MV not one have dared to continue claiming their former WRONG opinion. It certainly is MV, but it also is a movie in it's whole 4 minutes 48 seconds. And it has tangerine courtains - we know that Suga ate all those courtains, and JK too all of that other stuff, probably while singing through a pound of it in his mouth.. * I love you! You are Not sleeping on Jin's incredible voice. I love you. * RM is on record the fastest rapper in BTS - But Suga probably was then equally fast. Suga just never recorded any official song where he raps faster than RM - there is certain live situations where both of them might have rapped faster than their official recorded versions... There is no "_better_ rapper" in BTS's rapline - all three are differently equally GOOD. RM is not Better than others or Suga or J-hope. We all can have personal favorites because their styles are different and we all can have different personal taste, but Rap-line is 3 and Vocal-line is 4 and BTS is 7. :D
I think you will love reacting to their solo releases even more (especially the rapline) Here's a list of tracks that you can check out from each member. I limited them to 5 each for now so you don't get overwhelmed 😆 Suga/Agust D (it's important that you watch these in order esp the first 4, they have some sort of a connection/storyline) 1. Agust D 2. Daechwita 3. Haegeum 4. Amygdala 5. Snooze (if you look up the MV there is actually no official one but I still recommend you watching the top result posted by user elisssa with the CC on, the song is just too good) RM 1. Groin 2. Domodachi 3. LOST! 4. Still Life 5. Wildflower J-hope 1. MORE 2. Arson 3. NEURON 4. on the street 5. Boy Meets Evil Jimin 1. Set Me Free pt. 2 2. Like Crazy 3. Smeraldo Garden Marching Band 4. Who 5. Serendipity V 1. Slow Dancing 2. Love Me Again 3. For Us 4. FRI(END)S 5. Singularity Jungkook 1. Standing Next To You 2. 3D 3. Seven 4. Hate You 5. Too Much Jin (he just got back from the military and has yet to release his full solo album soon so there's not much from him as of now and some of these don't have mvs) 1. The Astronaut 2. Epiphany 3. Abyss 4. Moon 5. Tonight
I am definitely leaning towards reacting to some solo music next!! I want to hear them all have a chance to shine and I think it’ll help me to pick a bias too!!💜 Thank YOU for the song recommendations!!
Solo songs RM - Joke and Do you Jin- The Astronaut and Epiphany Suga- Daechwita and Agust D Jhope- Arson and More Jimin - Like Crazy and Lie V- Singularity and Love Me Again Jungkook - Standing next to you and 3D
Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. 8 vids dang. Pls be careful girl. As ur channel grows YT will not allow 8 vid reactions only 4-5. In Danger the boxer was Jimin. Also, u stared at him as he was singing but did not say his name, lol. Jin u got right. Hugs. Ur doing well. Jin is taller than Jimin and has really broad shoulders. The more u see them the more they will look different to you. When Jimin was younger he had big cheeks. So we call him Baby Mochi. =0p Danger is so bloody good. I love it on 1st listen. The choreo for it is a must watch. it was really hard at that time like the hardest choreo they ever done. Of course as the years passed they had harder choreo. Right now RUN BTS is their hardest choreo to date. Hope u can check it out. There's no MV just dance practice and live. I think Dope came yrs later. So not sure if they were giving us a hint or not. So glad u heard the Cyphers 1-4. They so good. U got to watch the Cypher Medley too. RM basically told the haters he their dad. lol. JHope learned how to rap as a trainee. RM & Suga taught him. JHope is the main dancer of the group. He was a street dancer in the dance crew called Neuron. Jimin is the 2nd main dancer of the group. U will learn all this if u watch guides later. =0] The Korean name “BANGTAN Sonyeondan”. Which translates to “BULLETPROOF BOY SCOUTS". Suga has his 1st mixtape called Agust D, 2nd mixtape is D-2, 1st album is D-Day. RMs 1st mixtape is RM, 2nd mixtape is Mono, 1st album is Indigo, 2nd album is Right Place, Wrong Person. JHope's 1st mixtape is Hope World, 1st album is Jack in the Box, 2nd album is Hope on the Street. So glad u liked the Cypher's My fav is 3 and 4. So good. Love 2 as well. RUN BTS is great. It was one of 3 new songs we go before they all enlisted. U have to watch the dance practice. There's no MV but there is a live from their last concert in Busan. Both are a must watch. =0} Ugh does not have an MV. There is a live stage for it though. Hope u check that out. U could watch the live after the lyric vids. We like longs videos. I hope u listen to the song More by JHope it's so good. No one is ready it's a thing, lol. Also, this lyric video has mistakes. Pls check out BTS - 욱 UGH! Explained by a Korean ruclips.net/video/Cq3nGiu0_gI/видео.html that will help a lot. Also, for real lyrics check out doolset doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/?s=ugh She has the most accurate lyrics for BTS Korean songs. Produced by Supreme Boi and Written by Supreme Boi, SUGA, RM, Hiss noise, j-hope, icecream drum. I knew you would vibe with this. I am not a big hip hop fan but I love Mic Drop and all their rap songs. They are fire. So catchy. Suga and RM were underground rappers before becoming idol's. They have crazy flow. Hobi learned to rap after he became an idol. But he used to be a pro freestyle dancer. He knows how to move to the beat and rap is all about that beat you know. =0) Pls Check out the live performance of this. You will not regret it. They have a song called Fire and its fire. There is an MV. They also have a song called Dope because they dope, lol. There is an MV as well. Also, pls check out Daechwita by Suga/Agust D., “Interlude: Shadow” by Suga/Agust D., “Agust D(Suga of BTS)-Agust D” Ddaeng by BTS rap line, "cypher pt. 1-4" and Cypher Medley RM mixtape Agust D mixtape and D-2 J-hope mixtape Hope World and album Jack in the Box and I think you would enjoy "Outro: Tear" by the BTS rap line. ON by BTS and also Black Swan by BTS - the lyrics are introspective about the fear of losing your passion just a note: sites like DOOLSETBANGTAN and GENIUS lyrics are the best sites for BTS lyrics. Lyricism is a very important aspect of BTS' artistry. I recommend doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ for lyrics, as the translator actually takes the time to translate the songs correctly, as well as explain things like wordplay and context. Naya YM said If you want to see accurate lyric translations please check out the genius website (though genius translations sometimes are inaccurate) or doolset, and don't pick any of the color-coded lyric videos. Channels like Jaeguchi and Lemoring. They are the ones that you should avoid. Please check out BBTS 9717 lyrics the translations are mostly accurate. @vminverse said on 12/1/23 A word of advice which you may or may not have heard already: pls refrain from watching lyric videos (especially from lemoring and jaeguchi), most of the time there are incorrect translations in some parts and sometimes indicates a member rapping/singing while it's actually someone else of the group. I do suggest to look up lyrics from Doolset Bangtan. They provide the closest 100% correct translations and will give extra explanations on words/wordplays/sayings etc. Whether you read it after your reaction of a song on or off camera doesn't matter. Do whatever you see fit and want to do. doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/?s=ugh Still love your video's nonetheless
29:44 supreme boi is a childhood friend of rm, he used to be a trainee for bts but left pretty early, but he stayed at the company as a producer and is there to this day, he participated in creating a lot of amazing bts songs
BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan or Bulletproof Boyscouts. They are often just called Bangtan which literally means Bulletproof in Korean. So yeah “We are Bulletproof” and “Run BTS(bulletproof)” they are also talking about their band name. That’s also why their fandom is called ARMY. They protect us and we fight for them. Also if you say ARMY is Korean it’s pronounced more ah-mi and sounds really cute and sweet They also have a song called “Bulletproof:the Eternal” which is really beautiful song about their journey and dedicated to fans. It has an animated video that references all their music videos. Once you see more videos and get to know their story a bit more you should check it out. It’s heart wrenching
"Danger" is the title track for their first full studio Album, Dark & Wild (August 19th, 2014). This was BTS's fourth release since debut, in a year and 2 months. They still had not won a music show, but they did get Rookie of the year award and other new artist awards, at the Korean award shows. Jungkook was only 15 years old (Global age), when they debuted, so he was 16 years old in this music video. RM was 18 at debut, so he was 19. and JIN, the oldest was 20 at debut, so he was 21 here. RM was calling out his underground rap names, his BTS stage name, etc. J-Hope was calling out his first mixtape Hope World. "Cypher Pt. 1" was released on O!RUL8,2? (September 11th, 2013). "Cypher Pt. 2 (Triptych)" was released on Skool Luv Affair (February 12th, 2014) "Cypher Pt. 3 (Killer)" was released on Dark & Wild (August 19th, 2014) "Cypher Pt. 4" was released on both their albums Wings (October 10, 2016) & You Never Walk Alone (February 13th, 2017) *"Sorry Bae" means Sunbae = means "senior" and is used to refer to people who are more experienced or have a higher rank than you. And Salmunori is Korean term that means neighborhood drum.* "Run BTS" is a song from their Anthology album PROOF - released June 10, 2022, it's a B side track, and one of three new songs from the album. They performed it live once at their Yet To Come in Busan "FREE" concert on October 15, 2022, right before JIN enlisted. The concert was at the ASIAD Stadium, and they had over 65,000 in attendance, and millions streamed it live online. They went on their group hiatus after he left, but they started doing solo projects and releasing albums and singles in July 2022. they performed MIC DROP and RUN BTS, one after the other, and the choreography for both is amazing. AND they sang it live. BTS never lip sync. "UGH!" is a rap line song from their album Map of the Soul: 7 (released Feb. 21, 2020). This song is about Hate, and they talk about the different kinds of hate, and it's addressing social issues. "Black Swan" is the second promoted single from the album Map of the Soul: 7 (released Feb. 21, 2020) and JIMIN represents the Black Swan in this song. The song is about the fear of losing your passion for your art. RM wrote it and he cried when he wrote it. He shares his album writing/producing process with ARMY on Vlogs. You can check them out on WEVERSE. Our BTS Dance Line is - J-HOPE (Group Dance Leader, Main Dancer), JIMIN (Main Dancer-He studied contemporary in High School), Jungkook (Lead Dancer and Group Center), V (He joined the dance line in 2018 I think). BTS are the standard for Dance. Not one else does it like them. Please react to Taylor Mari's guide - A Guide To BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 - ruclips.net/video/huV_yIdxZPY/видео.html
OHHH thanks for letting me know he was calling out their underground rap names!! That’s so cool!! I’m excited for them to all be reunited next year!!💜 Hopefully I will have listened to a lot of their music by then!!💜
I'm glad you're enjoying my boys!! I wanted you to react to a song called "Lauder than bombs", this is an unfair BTS anthem, as there is no live performance, no performance, no mv of this song, and it is so beautiful! You'll even see more of their vocals. I'm from 🇧🇷 and I love your reactions ❤
Yeah Jimin is the main dancer along with Jhope. Jimin is the most versatile dancer in K-pop. He's trained in many dance styles and also implements his background in martial arts. Creating his own style. There is no one like him That's crazy you never heard of Jimin and Dance. He's been voted best dancer for years in big awards shows. Wooyoung from Ateez is a big army and was actually heavily inspired by Jimin and his dance. Definitely do the guide next so you can get to know the guys a little better 💜💜
yes, Jimin dances like that. before joining BTS, he majors in contemporary dance and is the best of his class. yes, jhope didn't rap before BTS, he was actually a street dancer for 10 years. and he learned rapping with SUGA and RM when they were trainees, now he's one with the unique flows out there. both of them are main dancers in the pre-chorus of Danger, it was Jin then Jimin.. Jin and Jimin have the highest voices so they'll take turn to literally belt in the back of some BTS songs like Run BTS.. for more infos, i suggest watching a guide video. like A guide to BTS Members Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari PS. Don't let angel Hobi fool you. he can be a devil sometimes. the members fear him during practices
BTS rapline is undoubtedly the best in kpop right now. I love Ateez most especially for vocals and listen to A LOT of their songs especially the earlier ones but I respectfully can't say their rapline is anywhere near BTS. I am a huge Stay too and I can say that only Changbin and Han in Stray Kids are in par with BTS rappers but not the rest of them.
Yeah, right now my favorite rappers in kpop are HongJoong, Changbin, and Han, but these rappers in BTS are CRAZY good!!🤯 I’m sure I’ll be changing my ranking for my favorite rappers soon!!❤️😅❤️
Awesome reaction. Do a song from each member next and then the guide. You definitely need to react to the cypher medley live performance in seoul now that you reacted to the cyphers. That performance is top tier.
J Hope only learned to rap as a trainee (with the help of RM and Sugar... they were the first three to join BTS). J Hope joined BTS as mainly a dancer (he was part of Neuron, a dance crew, before BTS). I think you would enjoy UGH (boxing ring or Busan concert) and Cypher 3 at their Busan concert. Excellent rap line... all three of them are very different. A Long and Helpful Guide to BTS 2024 is a excellent one to watch to learn more about these talented men. It is much more current and has their more recent work. As mentioned, it is long and reactors have usually done it in parts. Worth the time though .. excellent!
Shalaya: Who's that? 0.0 ... Who's that?...Wow, Who's that? Jimin: umm, hi lmao Love u gal. u just made my day. giggles. Hi I am back. Good reaction(BlackSwan), ty. This one has beautiful deep meaning of their lyrics. As you notice like lines " It would be my first death. That's what I'm afraid of ." It has that emotional theme of an artist fear for losing their passion for what they do. With this song BTS dives deep into their inner selves as artists and faces the shadows they had once hidden. The song lends voice to their fears that one day music will no longer be able to move or touch them. The very moment they come face to face with the ‘Black Swan’ within themselves, however, they are stricken with a paradoxical realization that music is all they have. It is a confession of an artist who has truly learned what music means to himself. It's also inspired from Martha Graham, who said “A dancer dies twice once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful.” Now with the band on a break from group work and focusing more on solo projects (solo albums). We know this was also a hint to us that they were struggling. I hope u watch all the performances for this song. =0] Stay safe. - 2019 ARMY NY USA 💜 Jen W said on 6/7/22 Black Swan ballet: changing from white to black swan - growing up, losing innocence. Black Swan movie - sacrificing mental and physical health to reach the top. Shadow/mirror images - self reflection. Black Swan: Mainly written by RM, the one you like, is about their fears of losing all passion for music, either writing it or performing on stage. It's also based on a quote by Martha Graham who was an important figure in the world of modern dance, "A dancer dies twice. Once when they stop dancing and this death is more painful." They've been doing this for a long time now and for some of them it's all they've ever done from a young age but realized music is their life. MsBeatrice_81 said on 3/19/22 Fun fact: Before BTS began doing it, it wasn't normal at all for Korean idol groups to release songs with deeper meanings, discuss serious topics in their songs, acknowledge issues of vulnerability like burnout, depression or mental illness. It wasn't normal for idols to open up about their personal troubles at all. In fact, doing so got some idols thrown out of their companies. It was also not normal or common to have a running storyline/theme that is carried through multiple albums and/or MVs and songs. But BTS did it all so successfully, and broke those stigmas, to the point that now many other Korean idol groups have started trying to do those things, with varying degrees of sincerity and success. This song, its lyrics and MV are part of the "Shadow" portion of BTS's Map of the Soul era, in which they released albums and songs based on Carl Jung's theories regarding the Persona, Shadow, and Ego. This track is an exploration of their "shadow" selves' fear that they may someday lose their passion for their art - they ask if perhaps they are already losing it- and they wonder what comes after that "first death" of the loss of passion. In the end, they continue to fight for their passion and their art, claiming they won't be swept away by these fears again. I would encourage you to think about how counter-cultural BTS is being in songs like this: Not only are they dealing with topics that were taboo only a few years ago, but they're being unbelievably personally vulnerable, sincere and open. This is why we love them so much, and I'm sure you will, too! 💜 Example: A couple of weeks ago Jimmy Fallon had BTS on his late night show. They performed a song called Idol at This Idol performance at Gyeongbokgung Palace as a background and wearing hanboks. There are so many amazing location Rich with Ancient history. Here is a link to the idol performance, so you can see the background visual of the palace. ruclips.net/video/MXFkjMNXfpY/видео.html Sariel said on 3/1/22 The string instrument used is the Gayageum, a Korean zither. @suzy7645 said on 4/19/24 You understood this 100%! In retrospect after Festa 2022 when they announced the beginning of Chapter 2, (solo work & military before reuniting) I believe that Several songs on this album deal with the fact that they lost focus and inspiration and needed time to rest and reflect on their own before coming back together stronger than ever after the military. This embodies the Karl Jung’s psychological concept of Shadow, the dark part of your personality. From the album Map of the Soul 7 in 2020 that covers Shadow and Ego. The previous album was Map of the Soul- Persona. They were supposed to do a big world tour in 2020 to promote this album, then take a break for solo work and military service before reuniting. But Covid happened in early 2020 after they started promoting the album with this song and O.N., with 3 MV’s shot in LA California. Plans changed. Their big tour was cancelled. This led to Dynamite, the “pandemic album” BE, Butter, Permission to Dance (PTD), 2 Grammy nominations, the PDT tour in Soeul, LA& Vegas, their anthology album Proof. They finally started solo work one by one in late 2022 through late 2023 and the last 4 enlisted in December 2023. Jin comes back this June 12!!! Jhope in October and the rest in June 2025. @armyclowns2712 said on 6/31/24 "Black Swan" is about the fear of losing passion for art and the relationship artists have with their craft. The song's video opens with a quote from the late dancer Martha Graham: "A dancer dies twice -- once when they stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful". The song's performances also acknowledge BTS' deepest fears and show how they choose to use those fears to grow creatively. The performances borrow heavily from modern dance to create an artistic spectacle.
Please make Guide (7 Guide from Taylor) and then you can make a video reacting to one of their solo projects each or make a video with each Member with multiples solo songs it will be cool Also the song of Blackswan was create from the quote "a dancer dies twice - one when stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful" from Martha Graham, the Boys writing down when they where burnout, so the song talk about the pain of dying by losing the passion from music 💜💜💜
55:25 well there's ddaeng and tear . U can also check the vocal line songs too they hit different (house of card / the truth untold/ dimple (I prefer the performance ver) / zero o'clock)
I loved your last reaction to BTS and I’m loving this one too! You mentioned watching some of their interviews to recognise them better, will you ever post a reaction to that? Anyways, hope you have fun during journey in kpop ❤
Thank you!!❤️ I just watched the interviews on my own to learn faces, so I probably won’t record my reaction to their interviews unless it’s requested a lot!! Also yes I’m having a great time with my kpop journey so far! 💜
Suga’s solos under Agust D Daechwita, Harguem ,Agust D and Amygdala. J-Hope - Daydream, Hope World, Airplane, Base Line. RM - Forever Rain, Moonchild, Tokyo, Seoul. girl I need you to do joke by rm and ddaeng by rapline. rm has me SWEAT👏🏿TING👏🏿 in those songs and I'm dying to watch you lose your sh!t when you listen
12:15 learned to rap after he started as a trainee because everyone else were rappers and always rapping, he did street dance before that from a young age, he actually has a whole tv show dedicated to introducing different styles of dance ‘hope on the street’ that was released this year
They don't really have fixed positions anymore but I'll type it out in case you're curious. From what I remember it used to be: - Jungkook -> main vocal, lead dancer, center -V -> lead dancer, vocal, visual -Jimin -> main dancer, lead vocal -RM -> rapper - J-hope -> main dancer, rapper - Suga -> rapper -Jin -> vocalist, visual
I can remember that Taehyung (V) had really long bangs and they wanted him to cut them in this video. He didn't want to at all but he did and then they only used about 4 seconds of it in this video LOL.
RM and Suga taugh J-Hope how to rap in their dorm. J-Hope was a dancer and auditioned for BTS as a dancer. RM, Suga and J-Hope where the first three members.
You need to check out the live for Cypher3 at the Busan 2022 Concert. It was 🔥🔥 and that was the last time they are going to rap it live. Cypher 2 and 3 are my favorites. Edit. You make me laugh! I just finished your reaction. You remind me so much of another reactor her name is Caitlin Benson. 💜
I definitely will at some point!! Omg yes i actually listen to cypher 3 and 2 the most out of the 4!! Also aww lol I’m glad my video made you smile!!!😂💜
I like your reactions! I would suggest you do Taylor's Guide 'The Bangtan 7' next so you can familiarise yourself with the members more. It's a little long, but we love that guide! 💜
Would be great to see some full solo album reactions from you, since you like more gritty stuff i will suggest the rapline albums first. Dday from SUGA, RPWP from RM, JITB from hobi. Then you can get into vocal line. I think you would love the RUN BTS dance practice vdo!
Next time i think u should react to Jump_ ATTACK ON BANGTAN _ silver spoon _ fire _ Not today AND ON kinetic manifesto film and i hope u like em THANN a guide will be perfect .... loved the reaction and i knew you were gonna love the beat of UGH and cypher pt3 💜💜💜💜💜
I recommend to react to DDAENG from the rap line and also rain who is a rnb-ish song I love them and also some of their dance practice like the mic drop one which has a dance break at the end or the ON one
Jimin is one of the best dancers in the industry. In the group, J-hope is the only one who can beat him when it comes to dancing. Obviously, Jungkook is an amazing dancer, V is great too and the others absolutely rise up to the challenge of dancing alongside Jimin and J-hope. Jimin studied contemporary dance and you can see it in his moves. It's also the reason why BTS incorporate that style into their choreo sometimes, because it makes Jimin stand out. I think you should definitely react to the guide next (the one by Taylor Mari). Then maybe some of their solo songs. But I don't know if you should just go one song for each. Maybe one video for each with multiple songs would be better. Because Suga for example has a trilogy of songs that should be viewed as one story: Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala (where Amygdala is actually a prequel, but it was released last and it's also the heaviest one).
yoooooo lets gooo i love your reations the red hair in danger is Jin,Jimin has the hat on Jimin has a background in contemporary dancing *fun fact* i left you a list of videos to check out on your other video i hope you react to those too :D fun fact in cypherpt2 suga rapped 144 syllables in 14.5 seconds but i could be wrong...all on one breath
Thank you!!💜 omg thanks for letting me know who was Jin and Jimin!! That makes so much sense Jimin has a background in contemporary dance! I was so shocked in black swan!! Also, I’ll make sure to look at your other comment again when I react to more BTS music!💜 Omg his breath control is CRAZY!!😱 Suga is amazing!!
This is going to be out of left field from most requests/suggestions, but I saw how you reacted to RM singing a tiny bit in Ugh. He did a song with Jungkook early in their career- not really sure which era it was in, but assuming during the school era. If I remember correctly it was a SoundCloud song, because it's a cover. It's called Fools. I highly recommend it because we all know Jk can sing to the rafters but RM, though not as stable has a sweet voice too that doesn't get heard as often. Suga also has a good singing voice. The both of them are better rappers, but I always enjoy hearing their vocals when I can. Another recommendation is for your Christmas ideas list. The guys did a performance (I think it's a gayo). I originally came across it after hearing that jk sang O' Holy Night. They do a medley of Christmas songs. I don't want to spoil it, but I am sure you'll enjoy it. Enjoy your journey in this rabbit hole. Borahae 💜

Taylor Mari's guide to BTS (Bangtan 7) origin story is a MUST!
watch cypher medley live, you won't be disappointed
Omg they have a cyphers medley?!😱 I’ll definitely check that out soon!!
@@shalayaB yes! it's a must watch. ty
OH that makes sense!! Thank you for answering my questions!!❤️❤️
RUN BTS has a dance practice worth watching.
Ooooo I definitely want to watch that!!
@@shalayaB and in their last concert they did a performance that was amazing. That is also in youtube.

I love the dance practice, but the concert performance is my FAVORITE because their voices and growls go so hard compared to the official recording!
I wish that lyric channel would fix that mistake because people always end up watching that one since it’s the most viewed. But anyway, I really enjoy your reactions sm! I just know you would die seeing the rap line do ‘Cypher pt. 3’ and ‘UGH!’ in their Busan Concert, they are an insane triple threat! 😵💫🔥💜
Edit: 55:50 A reply to your request, you would love ‘Ddaeng’ by the rap line too! Just be warned, the lyricism is actually so crazy and intricate that you will definitely need an explanation video. I believe someone recommended DKDKTV before!
Sadly that is far from the only significant error in that lyric video. There’s an excellent one from a channel which I think is called Bree.
33:30 I still cant get over how speechless that line left you 😭 you wont believe what he does during this line in his performances in Busan and his own DDAY tour. HE IS SUCH A MENACE 😭😭😭
LITERALLY I ALMOSY DIED FROM IT
I was SHOOK for real😭❤️😅
Jimin has been dancing contemporary ballet since high school.
black swan is about the fear of losing your passion in bts case losing passion for music. It's from the quote “a dancer dies twice, once when they stop dancing, and this first death is more painful” by Martha graham. Bts wrote this when they were burnt out. This song along with the entire map of the soul album is one of their most vulnerable work. I love it 🥹💜
Also bts rapline to me will always be superior. Noone is touching them😩. Cypher pt 3 is also my favorite with pt 4 as a close second.
Some vocal songs recommendations to show off our lovely vocal line🤭
- house of cards
- the truth untold
- outro: love is not over (you can do the full length version with the 7 of them if you want)
- zero o'clock
- dimple
- outro: luv in skool (it's short cause its just an outro but I love it so much, you can listen to it in your own time if you don't want to react to it)

Awe I’m happy you found my channel too!!❤️I love how their music helped you through your difficult times💜
Cannot wait for you to see UGH and Cypher 3 live in Busan concert. Rapline slaughtered that performance. Like there were bodies.
Right! They put J-Hope in Suga's part, whereas it is just Suga using another cadence.
Aww man that’s awful 🤦🏽♀️😭 Which part was actually Suga instead of J-Hope?!! Oh wow I love this song even more now that I know the meaning of the whole song! Thank you for telling me! 💜

Agust D trilogy is a must-do!

MMA 2019 is amazing
I think it's too early for that 😊
Hi! Your reactions are so fun! I actually took notes to try answering your questions *that others hadn't answered yet.* 😄
Bangtan means bulletproof.
BTS originally stands for BangTan Sonyeondan (Bulletproof Boys or Bulletproof Boy scouts) but they did some rebranding to add Beyond the Scene as another meaning. Everyone I've talked to likes the original better. 🤭
Dope came after Danger, FYI
Yes, RM was referencing the anime One Piece in the Cypher.
Never wear hoodies when reacting to BTS unless you're prepared to sweat a lot 😆
"Ugh!" lyric video was a mess but another comment already discussed this. The producer was Supreme Boi. However, the members are accomplished producers themselves.
The dance style they do in "Black Swan" is not ballet; it's called contemporary. It's Jimin's specialty because he trained formally in that style before he joined BTS.
Thank you!!❤️
Yeah I definitely like bulletproof boys/Boy Scouts the most!!
Thank you for telling me the meaning of that song!!
Also OMG yes RM got my attention IMMEDIATELY!! Love him already!!
Oh yeah!! Contemporary dancing is the word I was looking for!!

When song starts "You're in Danger.."
And we already deeaadd :=( One of my favorite songs.
Well tough to say because they have about 400 songs together.. :/ And there is just 3 or 4 that I don't absolutely LOVE.. :=(
And then there is all the solo songs...
*
I love you! You are Not sleeping on Jin's incredible voice. I love you.
*
RM is on record the fastest rapper in BTS - But Suga probably was then equally fast.

So glad u heard the Cyphers 1-4. They so good. U got to watch the Cypher Medley too. RM basically told the haters he their dad. lol. JHope learned how to rap as a trainee. RM & Suga taught him. The Korean name “BANGTAN Sonyeondan”. Which translates to “BULLETPROOF BOY SCOUTS". Suga has his 1st mixtape called Agust D, 2nd mixtape is D-2, 1st album is D-Day. RMs 1st mixtape is RM, 2nd mixtape is Mono, 1st album is Indigo, 2nd album is Right Place, Wrong Person. JHope's 1st mixtape is Hope World, 1st album is Jack in the Box, 2nd album is Hope on the Street. So glad u liked the Cypher's My fav is 3 and 4. So good. Love 2 as well. RUN BTS is great. It was one of 3 new songs we go before they all enlisted. U have to watch the dance practice. There's no MV but there is a live from their last concert in Busan. Both are a must watch. =0}
Ugh does not have an MV. They have a song called Fire and its fire. just a note: sites like DOOLSETBANGTAN and GENIUS lyrics are the best sites for BTS lyrics. Lyricism is a very important aspect of BTS' artistry.
I recommend doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/ for lyrics, as the translator actually takes the time to translate the songs correctly, as well as explain things like wordplay and context.

If you want to see accurate lyric translations please check out the genius website (though genius translations sometimes are inaccurate) or doolset, and don't pick any of the color-coded lyric videos. Channels like Jaeguchi and Lemoring. They are the ones that you should avoid. Please check out BBTS 9717 lyrics the translations are mostly accurate.

A word of advice which you may or may not have heard already: pls refrain from watching lyric videos (especially from lemoring and jaeguchi), most of the time there are incorrect translations in some parts and sometimes indicates a member rapping/singing while it's actually someone else of the group. I do suggest to look up lyrics from Doolset Bangtan. They provide the closest 100% correct translations and will give extra explanations on words/wordplays/sayings etc. Whether you read it after your reaction of a song on or off camera doesn't matter. Do whatever you see fit and want to do. doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/?s=ugh

Also if you say ARMY is Korean it’s pronounced more ah-mi and sounds really cute and sweet
They also have a song called “Bulletproof:the Eternal” which is really beautiful song about their journey and dedicated to fans. It has an animated video that references all their music videos. Once you see more videos and get to know their story a bit more you should check it out. It’s heart wrenching
Jin wearing that DOPE tank top was more like a prophecy at that point in time
because song DOPE came out a year after DANGER !
"Cypher Pt. 2 (Triptych)" was released on Skool Luv Affair (February 12th, 2014)
"Cypher Pt. 3 (Killer)" was released on Dark & Wild (August 19th, 2014)
"Cypher Pt. 4" was released on both their albums Wings (October 10, 2016) & You Never Walk Alone (February 13th, 2017) *"Sorry Bae" means Sunbae = means "senior" and is used to refer to people who are more experienced or have a higher rank than you. And Salmunori is Korean term that means neighborhood drum.*
"Run BTS" is a song from their Anthology album PROOF - released June 10, 2022, it's a B side track, and one of three new songs from the album.

Haha😂 I haven’t met my man yet, but I just know If I saw Suga in person, I’d lose my mind!😂❤️ Suga knows the effect he has!😅💜
@@shalayaB Welcome to the " Yoongi Marry Me " fandom. 😁🤣🤣🤣
Yeah, right now my favorite rappers in kpop are HongJoong, Changbin, and Han, but these rappers in BTS are CRAZY good!!🤯 I’m sure I’ll be changing my ranking for my favorite rappers soon!!❤️😅❤️
i am here before watching the reaction but i knowww it's gonna be FIREEE 🔥🔥🔥
💜💜
You have to react to
Dis-ease
Fire
Ddang( that is a rap line song)
ON (MV and dance practice)
Worth the time though .. excellent!
“Run BTS” dance practice is a MUST!
Shalaya: Who's that? 0.0 ... Who's that?...Wow, Who's that?
Jimin: umm, hi
lmao
Love u gal. u just made my day.
- 2019 ARMY NY USA 💜

Black Swan ballet: changing from white to black swan - growing up, losing innocence.

Fun fact: Before BTS began doing it, it wasn't normal at all for Korean idol groups to release songs with deeper meanings, discuss serious topics in their songs, acknowledge issues of vulnerability like burnout, depression or mental illness.
Example: A couple of weeks ago Jimmy Fallon had BTS on his late night show. They performed a song called Idol at This Idol performance at Gyeongbokgung Palace as a background and wearing hanboks. There are so many amazing location Rich with Ancient history. Here is a link to the idol performance, so you can see the background visual of the palace. ruclips.net/video/MXFkjMNXfpY/видео.html

You understood this 100%!

"Black Swan" is about the fear of losing passion for art and the relationship artists have with their craft.
Pls next reaction Jimin solo songs "Who , Set me free pt.2 , Like Crazy "mv and "Serendipity , Lie ,Filter" live performence 💜
The fact Danger was considered a flop is CRAZY. Also imma say it every chance i get, BTS debuted on my birthday
Omg HOW was danger considered a flop?!😭 Also omg that’s such a flex!!🔥💜 Love that for you!!
@@shalayaB I remember Suga saying that it was a flop and essentially the whole album flopped if I’m not mistaken. I was taken aback
@@riderrose5921 oh wow that’s really surprising and sad…Well, I love it!!💜
@@shalayaB would love to see you react to the guide to get to know them better
You need to watch explanation for ugh too
They were definitely not coming for other idols in these cyphers. The beef was with other rappers. B-Free still crying to this day.
31:59 suga does have an album called agust d that has a title track called agust d and he also releases solo music under the name agust d

Awww thank you!!❤️ I’ll do another BTS reaction in a couple of weeks!!
I love love love your work ❤🎉 so cute in a special way🦭
I've been waiting for the part 2
Aww thank you so much!!❤️💜
Please make Guide (7 Guide from Taylor) and then you can make a video reacting to one of their solo projects each or make a video with each Member with multiples solo songs it will be cool
Also the song of Blackswan was create from the quote "a dancer dies twice - one when stop dancing, and this first death is the more painful" from Martha Graham, the Boys writing down when they where burnout, so the song talk about the pain of dying by losing the passion from music 💜💜💜
im a stan of maaany kpop groups, but my favorite raplines are: bts, monstax and nct, they are on another level
I haven’t heard any MonstaX music and I barely have heard nct! I definitely want to check out monsta x soon! Any song recommendations?

Jin - Astronaut, Epiphany, Awake and for fun Super Tuna. Jimin - Who, Filter, Serendipity. Jungkook - Euphoria, My Time, Seven, Stay Alive. V - Winter Bear, Singularity, Stigma, Inner Child.

Yaaaay you're back with another juicy video can't wait to watch later 💜
The live performance for those songs is a needed girl trust me
12:15 learned to rap after he started as a trainee because everyone else were rappers and always rapping, he did street dance before that from a young age, he actually has a whole tv show dedicated to introducing different styles of dance ‘hope on the street’ that was released this year
Oh wow that’s crazy he only started rapping as a trainee!! He’s such a good rapper!
They don't really have fixed positions anymore but I'll type it out in case you're curious.
From what I remember it used to be:
- Jungkook -> main vocal, lead dancer, center
-V -> lead dancer, vocal, visual
-Jimin -> main dancer, lead vocal
-RM -> rapper
- J-hope -> main dancer, rapper
- Suga -> rapper
-Jin -> vocalist, visual
You should also do the dance practice for Run BTS. One of the best dances.
and also cypher 3 by suga live during his concert is incredible
Ahhh i cant wait for more videos for BTS!!!
There will be another BTS reaction next week!!❤️🎉
I like your reactions! I would suggest you do Taylor's Guide 'The Bangtan 7' next so you can familiarise yourself with the members more. It's a little long, but we love that guide! 💜
Would be great to see some full solo album reactions from you, since you like more gritty stuff i will suggest the rapline albums first. Dday from SUGA, RPWP from RM, JITB from hobi. Then you can get into vocal line.
I think you would love the RUN BTS dance practice vdo!
That was Jin in the background of Run BTS
Next time i think u should react to Jump_ ATTACK ON BANGTAN _ silver spoon _ fire _ Not today AND ON kinetic manifesto film and i hope u like em THANN a guide will be perfect
.... loved the reaction and i knew you were gonna love the beat of UGH and cypher pt3
💜💜💜💜💜
I appreciate your recommendations!! Also thank you!!💜💜 YES Ugh and cypher 3 is on repeat!!🔥
44:04 Ооооо! Обязательно нужно посмотреть dance practice 💜💜💜🔥
You should do Tear it's a rapline song. And it's about them maybe wanting to break up at one time. It's sooo sad but so good.
Because Suga for example has a trilogy of songs that should be viewed as one story: Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala (where Amygdala is actually a prequel, but it was released last and it's also the heaviest one).
you should watch the run bts and black swan dance practices :)
yoooooo lets gooo i love your reations
the red hair in danger is Jin,Jimin has the hat on
Jimin has a background in contemporary dancing *fun fact*
i left you a list of videos to check out on your other video i hope you react to those too :D
fun fact in cypherpt2 suga rapped 144 syllables in 14.5 seconds but i could be wrong...all on one breath
@@shalayaB Nods Suga is really incredible. He is a fan of Eminem.
Run BTS was their last song together before going to the military. Also please watch the guide to BTS by Taylor
I really think you'd enjoy the mo blue remix of danger too. There's a mv for it. Borahae! 💜
Borahae 💜
Thank you for all of your recommendations!! Also that’s a good idea to listen to the Christmas covers in December!! I’ll do that if I remember!!💜
you have to see ugh and run bts live during the busan concert
