smooth as a sledge going down an icy hill in the middle of winter, the snow drops twinkling on the front, the sparkle of the sun gliding off into the stars (what a wanker I am) - soul of a legendary tortured poet
A two hour video bodes well. Charlie and Diesel watching from the wings as is Kramnik. Just needs Danny Rench for a bit of coaching and Simon is all set.
I bought your The GingerGM Method 1&2 download bundle during the sale, I'm about five hours in and enjoying it a lot so far, though the video quality is, well... deey-vay-deey quality😆. Thanks for running the sale and thank you so much for making all this lovely content over the years Simon, you will be remembered for this, as a great teacher and promoter of the game, making the game more accessible to more people. Glad I could send some money your way, well deserved GM Williams!
I think we all need more ginger poetry... " as smooth as a sledge going down an icy hill in the middle of winter with the snow drops twinkling on the front, the sparkle of the sun gliding off into the stars .......what a wanker I am "......... genius keep it coming.....
So happy your uploading regularly again. Believe it or not, Simon, your videos have gotten me through some real tough times in life bro, so thank you for that, man. I love your style of chess and I've learned so much from watching you play. Most entertaining chess RUclipsr around! God bless you, bro.
I mainly play the Botvinnik English and love watching your attacking style of play. Trying to carve out enough time to get your Iron English course. My attacking has improved a lot just by watching you play these titled Tuesday events and hearing how you think about your positions. Keep at it because you are great to watch!
"Another possible move is Be8, to get get this knight around. I remember Joe Gallagher telling me that..." 10 minutes later: "What the helllll was this Be8 move? What a stinking load of shite!!" 😂😂
Simon, you know, we need that DVD against the Slav! Also, i think the Morra fits your style quite well, we could see some beautiful games if you start playing it. :)
Hey Simon I just want to point out in this game at 1:25:00 where you win the opponents queen in 17 moves, have you had a look at your time there? You have ended the game with 2 Minutes 59 seconds left on your clock, in other words you have used 1 second net. To me this shows how you could overcome your time troubles easily, play the openings you know best and as far as I have seen this is of course the Black Lion against e5 and the Dutch against anything else. Also I have seen you playing the English, (Botvinnik variation) where you are a Master too, maybe try the English with white next Tuesday? I would love to see you consistenly playing these three openings which I consider your strongest for a full tournament. Also: with the English you will probably get your opponents in time trouble and not yourself.
If he just played the Dutch, the Black Lion (or committed to tournament prep Sicillian setups), and the Jobava London/Botvinnik English, he'd be performing a lot lot higher than he is. But Simon's a character, and he definitely plays to the gallery quite a bit^ (I, for one, don't mind it one bit!)
The concept of Intuition becomes very interesting in relation to the idea of everything being a simulation/dream. Intuition is not something we ourselves generate, it's not a result of various thought processes, not a logical conclusion or data from previous experience. Intuition simply poppes into the Mind like a readymade idea-thingy. This must come, I'm convinced from the 'Great Mind of the Intelligent Universe'. Many times when I play chess I get these Intuitions on moves to play but the problem is that when I start to try to understand why I should play the move I can't understand why so I don't play them. Then afterwards in analysis mode I test these moves with the help of Stockfish and oftentimes it turns out that these Intuition-moves are fucking brilliant!!! I think therefore someone could possibly become way better than 3000 ELO if that someone developed their sensitivity untowards receiving such Intuition, trusting it and actually playing such moves. This is very hard for a Human Being to do though, because we don't like to do stuff we cannot understand why we are doing ;) This theme goes for Life as well, not just chess I'm sure
43:20 I am into the Chinese Taoist health system. Daniel Reid's book Guarding The Three treasures is phenomenal - it gives you all the cool exercises and stuff to do. The Qi gong exercises will boost your energy loads. And there are 'sexercises', including the 'Jade Hop'!
Here you go and there's a lot of it now: Baader-Meinhof is the phenomenon where one stumbles upon some obscure piece of information-often an unfamiliar word or name-and soon afterwards encounters the same obscure piece of information - to my point this just happened to me and my friend sent me the link.
improvisation in opennings can be funny , but with strong players, because managing time it is probably one of first reasons when you lose games . For example I do not know theory and doing same, but when I not making "crazy" in opennings, usually it is ok , blitz game not give you option for time .
that 3rd game was brilliant!. yeah people in london don't give a f**k..my flatmate in camberwell had a QR code for weed that the dealer had given her. it was plastered on our fridge 😂
He isn't selling a memorization tool so unless it hurts your brain when Simon drinks a pint too many I don't see how Simon forgetting something speaks negatively about any of his courses.
You want to get off your phone. Take a nice hot bath with different kinds of bath salts, I’m working on my feet all day and I don’t think I’d get through the week without it, added benefit is you can’t take your phone in the bath or you at least really shouldn’t lol
Why a GM play a draw variation against WCM, which have a lot difference elo!...., with such diference ranking we want to see some interest lines, some gambit and masive attack.....
everyone hates the english, even on our island the scotts do and the welsh arent too keen either, even the south and the north dont get on particularly well haha,
1:25:59 ”You shoulda bought my dvd” 😂😂😂
day-vay-day 😂
🤣🤣🤣
smooth as a sledge going down an icy hill in the middle of winter, the snow drops twinkling on the front, the sparkle of the sun gliding off into the stars (what a wanker I am) - soul of a legendary tortured poet
Are we allowed to use the word "smooth"? 😂
He's on his wordsmithing game like white on rice on a paper plate with a glass of milk in a snowstorm.
6:00 for the audio from the legend himself
Ginger gm is the most entertaining gm, really enjoy these videos. Thanks!
He's got that typical understated British sense of humor, nice.
Hahahahaha brilliant chess player and comedian, can’t stop watching these videos
35:48 "Put that in your pipe and smoke it son!" 😆That's the Ginger we all like!
Exactly! Hilarious. 😂
A 17-move destruction derby. Masterpiece.
A two hour video bodes well. Charlie and Diesel watching from the wings as is Kramnik. Just needs Danny Rench for a bit of coaching and Simon is all set.
😂😂😂
I think you are right, GingerGM. You were the one who coined the term "Jobava London", I watched you do it many years ago. 😊
Lots of high rated opposition today. Another strong performance from Simon. Kramnik is 'interested'.
interesting...

the discombobulation game between 33:00 and about 36:00 was a thing of beauty
STILL the best TT video weekly !! My favourite watch I look forward to each time. Respect Simon, love your stuff.

Game four was fantastic. Shows what happens when you're not bogged down worrying about it and just playing on instinct.
A position is either sensible or discombobulated.
Life’s good when get to watch gigergm streaming their is no streamer more entertaining than gingergm
Another brilliant video!

I'm excited for your chess boxing match Simon! Hope you're training well and not getting too wasted. Thanks for the great content, you're a legend!
Title Tuesdays are always great content. No matter how well you do 😊
Simon, you know, we need that DVD against the Slav!
Also, i think the Morra fits your style quite well, we could see some beautiful games if you start playing it. :)
Some great play, Simon! 🙌😎
Great stuff Simon, love your videos as always, keep it up!

Much love from America to England! Sancte Georgi, orange pro nobis! 🏴
wow that game you played 30 seconds down was unbelievable.
Way to go Simon good to see you again man stay blessed
Watching an NM hang his queen and a GM miss it is a strange feeling... @28:54
It wasn't even caught in the game review.
Yeah I just saw that..
I totally missed that during the vid
This is the best video you've done
The best show in the Internets!
28:54 free queen?
yeah haha
As a brazilian man, I confirm: you are the only english person we still love. 😂❤
I also like Stephen Fry.
But then the list quickly thins out, and 2Bfair, Fry does not know how to push Harry.
Welsh origins explains this.
Simon, I am trying to buy the Killer D4 in DVD format, but I can't figure it out. I only see the options for stream or download. Thanks!
Dee vee dee! There is no DVD. Only dee vay diis!
Thats the sound of the gingah
Great Video! Nice games, interesting funny stories (skunk), philosophie about the Matrix and winning bad games :)...Liked it
(1:26:10)
Simon: Me, the best Dutch player.
Anish: Am I a joke to you?
Yes, we like England, but love you. I want a poster!
I'm a simple man. I see GingerGM, I click.
Listening to Saint Ginger is nearly as good as watching the Chess
Very very clever. He knows the game is corrupt. He has fun. Brilliant player.
28:54 Tal-like queen sac by the opponent! Too dangerous to take!
98.1 !! Oh my God! GingerGM should be careful not to attract the attention of Kramnik!!

"It will make you better at chess. Guaranteed. Well, maybe..." (c) GingerGM 2024
I just got ginger's new jobava london system and I'm feeling smooth as a sledge
Hi Simon, yes, most Americans are quite fond of England.
Should have gotten the blokes business card too, cheeky bastard

21:00 black made their final move with 0.1 seconds on the clock!

Are they putting cameras in Hans room as well ?
Love the content! Comment for the RUclips gods
That 4th game needed to come with an 18 rating. Brutal 👍
Entertainment A+, chess A+; what’s there not to like.
Playing birds opening in the critical game, that's gingergm😂
Awesome :)
2900 playing the Dutch had me laughing 😃 😀
We Americans love the English. Always will.
Are your old French Defense courses outdated theory?
improvisation in opennings can be funny , but with strong players, because managing time it is probably one of first reasons when you lose games . For example I do not know theory and doing same, but when I not making "crazy" in opennings, usually it is ok , blitz game not give you option for time .
After Simon, David Paruana is my favourite chess player.
that 3rd game was brilliant!.
yeah people in london don't give a f**k..my flatmate in camberwell had a QR code for weed that the dealer had given her. it was plastered on our fridge 😂
Matrix on hard difficulty, what were you thinking? 😂😂
(don't pursue chess professionally) I bet
Not really a good advert for your courses Simon if even you can't remember them how the hell are we going to !?
well, likely we're not gonna memorize ten times more repertoire than we really need, like the gm who has to curate and promote the lot of it
He isn't selling a memorization tool so unless it hurts your brain when Simon drinks a pint too many I don't see how Simon forgetting something speaks negatively about any of his courses.
Another dutch pipe classic.
Such a Magnus game 🎵
35:53 😆

Got a bottle of black sheep ale to keep me company whilst watching this 😁
I never understood but how do they get those sheep in the can? 🤔
@@SpaceCadet4Jesus😂
do the hippo :)
he wasn't smoking, he was vaping and the fumes did nothing admit it
> 2 hours long = some ginger fun!
Big accidental Irony from the sentence.. Fairplay to Hans
Lol game 3 you gave him a 30 second head start and beat him easily. I think you confused him!
The second last game is against World Champion U-14 - 2023
Yes, this American likes you.
7.5!!
I love all the English.
The Ginja.
BRING BACK THE PSYCHO COWBOY!!!!
Yessss
Why a GM play a draw variation against WCM, which have a lot difference elo!...., with such diference ranking we want to see some interest lines, some gambit and masive attack.....
Ginger!!
Let's go. Hope no stupid distractions from the jobsworths this time
Gukesh!!
I thin the Indian players had some fixed draws against each other to help gukesh win
Tough! This is nothing new!
-"*Screams in Bobby Fisher*"
Just can’t see an Indian crushing the field right? Cry more
Go GB
Simon your bet was the right idea but you picked the wrong Indian kid!
😎
everyone hates the english, even on our island the scotts do and the welsh arent too keen either, even the south and the north dont get on particularly well haha,
13:17 Who else checked their phone?
Scrollin’, scrollin’, scrollin’… though chess streams are swollen.
I guess 7.5/11
No brews...you lose
