We used to do this at work we would remove all the fake wood trims from the dash and doors of Discovery 3s and paint them “piano” black looked much classier and was more popular with the buying public. Nice job 👍🏻🇬🇧

Hello, it is not the choice about the final color, even I agree about the cheap result with carbon, it is all the details you show us, to take every part off from the vehicule. A real professional tuto. I liked this and I would try to do it on mine.

It’s a great colour. Just a pain on the car if a panel gets damaged. Matching it in is a nightmare

I used to be indecisive now I'm not so sure! nice vid if it doesn't feel right it's not right,it will just bug you.I was thinking of doing my dash it's about bland.

Thank you for continuing to show us how you modify the T5. I love it. I think both the orange and red look fantastic. Have you considered using the two-tone paint scheme used on the outside of the car (which just looks amazing) on the inside?
Also, have you considered making a pop-top roof? There are several kits you can buy in the UK.
I will be doing more. I just need a time machine or something. Many more jobs than time I’ve got available 😬
Looks good, might need to do the trim around the door handles to match now, and change the seat covers too.

Great video, sprayed my trims up today. Going to refit tmo. Noticed in the vid you’ve got a vinyl is it? On the doors by the door handle? Where could I get something similar?

The carbo fibre didn’t do the trick and looks a bit cheap. But on the other hand the candy red looks really good

I bought it! Hope its not a mistake. It's all original except for the stereo just have to transfer it into my name etc. I think it's burning oil have to wait and see going to be removing the precats asap and the idle is a little rough

Hi when removing passenger airbag cover does the airbag come out as well if so do you have to disconnect the battery first
What lacquer did you use as I tried something similar from a rattle can and the lacquer is cracking

I've just installed a kenwood KSC-SW11 under my drivers seat to add a bit more depth the the sound.
Cool I’ve got a 12” sub under the bed. I’d like to change for 2 12’s bring back my younger days lol. I’m going to do a design for the camper tee’s. I can wear relevant tee then for each vid 😀

Cheers 👍. It was just a roll of it I found in the local supermarket, and cut it to size with scissors

How do you paint without it getting tacky and cheap looking? I've used spray paint before and it cherry blossom and both seem to get really tacky to the touch?
The best clear coat that you can get is the "OH MY" 2k clear from BuyCustomPaint.com. A HS clear that's really easy to spray with a high gloss, and doesnt require cutting or buffing and the small kits start at $30..... Definitely worth checking out...good video
Looks great lee. Couple of questions for you if you dont mind. How did you do the stickers around the door handles? Also can you reccomend a decent plastic primer / paint for use at home? You've inspired me to have a go!
Hiya. The stickers aren’t great to be honest. I just cut them out around the handles with a Stanley knife. The plastic primer was just from Halfords in a spray can 👍

Nice Vid, would the Candy Red show through the Carbon dip?, does the peeps who do the Carbon dip, is there a Polished Wood Finish same as Rollers n Bentleys?
Yes I’ve seen carbon dipped stuff with a candy coloured clear coat on top. Looks good. There are dips for everything so will be a wood finish somewhere 👍

I just used normal car body spray and lacquer. Just make sure you use a proper plastic primer first 👍

Good video. How did you paint your dashboard?
I used some vinyl paint. Just sprayed it on in really light coats so didn’t look wet
what head unit have you got ? i have a 2005 transporter and want to upgrade the head unit. thanks in advance.
Mine is a pioneer avh-x5800dab but to be honest I’d recommend the Kenwood DMX8019DABS. Both aren’t cheap but I don’t really like the pioneer app radio bit. The Kenwood links to the phone better.

The carbon look was just a fad that’s passing. It always looked naff. The paint looks good and it’s unique to you.

The orange was me 😞. Saw someone’s on Facebook the same and thought it would look good. 🤷♂️
