Love the blue color of the Mermaid dress on her. She got the Ursula vibe right but not the tailoring. I have an hourglass with some extra sand and in junior high I remember complaining to a friend about how my large bust made me look bigger all over. I will never forget my friend saying: “Well then tuck your shirt in and wear a belt!” 😂

My suggestion would be for a person I _don't_ like (meeeoow!), Jennifer Lopez, including that gauzy green Versace outfit that made her look like an expensive call girl, and the dreadful seafoam muumuu she once wore at the Oscars.
I could elaborate about why I don't like her fashions and the vibe I get from them, but then I would get too catty.

Melissa is an icon for big girls....she shows that you can be big and beautiful 😍 but her beauty also comes from inside, she always seems cheerful and kind, but is not scared or whimpy... a fearce modern woman (much more worthy of the award given out recently to another MM)...

I've never heard of her and the face isn't familiar either [although I think I've seen it on some video somewhere. Meghan Markle comes to mind for some odd reason, are they friends maybe??]. If I wanted a plus size woman to emulate I would look towards many of the traditionally sized African women you can see wearing fashions on RUclips. They really know how to dress for their curves.

Have to give props to Melissa cause she was a game changer when it came to celebrity fashion in a more plus size category. Not that there weren't many other celebrities who were not the standard Hollywood skinny stick ideal, but Melissa was younger when her career started off and made efforts to wear presentable outfits that she looked great in and was confident wearing. I think the prints she's chosen has done well to help her, as sometimes prints can be overwhelming if there is nothing to anchor the outfit, and Melissa seems to use certain prints to be a part of that feature to either draw the eye to a complementary part of her features or to frame a spot to be noticed that enhanced the look. I certainly would change her little mermaid outfit, I think I only like the fringe at the bottom but might have brought up the skirt a little. Taking off the puff sleeves is a must, why are such voluminous puffs at that part of the arm fighting with the outfit? It even looks to be a faux leather fabric that clashes with the softer fabric material of the outfit. And if possible I'd change it to a deep purple instead of the deep blue as it blends in with the background of the walk about, she can replicate Ursula just fine but she's getting lost in the ocean lol 😁
If you need a celebrity to research, can you do Kate Winslet?

❤☮️ Hi Beebs, Thank you for the critique of a celeb who more represents a “regular gal” who doesn’t have a Catherine, POW figure. Perhaps more celebs like this one and maybe older celebs?
I don’t know if you get into fashion history, but I’ve wondered what your opinions would be of the best and worst of the 1970’s fashions! 😃. Having lived through that time, I have my favorites, but men’s fashions suffered greatly. Polyester plaid, gak!
Your advice has helped much. I’m tall, long and skinny legged, big busted with a flat behind! To have clothes that truly fit, I’d have to have them specially made! Although I couldn’t resist buying a pair of high waisted, wide legged jeans like I wore in high school! I know a low rise jeans works best for me, but wearing them is just Fun.
🎉Thank you! Always appreciate your work!🎉

I'm fairly certain she exclusively dresses Danish designers.
She's slightly curvier than Catherine Wales & maybe a little shorter than Catherine, but they seem to favour similar looks.
Mary is a little older. She's also the sporty type. She's had 4 children, 2 of whom are twins, but she's kept her youthful figure.
Mary gets as much public attention & from 2 countries because she's Australian born.

I think she was channeling Ursula with the royal blue dress. It's a great color, but I think it would have worked better with a v-neck and no ruffles on the sleeves. I did notice that she seems to want to match or at least coordinate with the photographic backgrounds in most of these shots. To me, that shows that she puts a lot of thought and effort into each outfit. I love Melissa, and I think you did a great job breaking down these looks.

Thanks for another great video. Often women with larger frames seem to way overdo the size of their garments ( the blue sack). She does look better not avoiding her figure, having clothing with some waistlines). The tendency also seems to be big slouchy tops, hands in pockets. It gives the impression she left home in all or part of her jammies/ sweats. Again, enhancing not hiding her body looks so superior. Wish, as you say, she would put her hair up, wear lower necklines. Very pretty lady lady with a unique style.

Sometines I think there are some near misses with her shoes. I know she's short, so she loves heels but the bla k heels with the black long top and black jogging type pants were something from a nightmare for me. Also, the black bondage heels take away from the outfit.
I'm plus size and only 5'4", so those 2 types of shoes can make one's feet look bloated.
The Little Mermaid dress was a BEAUTIFUL color even though it could have faded into the background. I agree with you about the sleeves and neckline.
With few exceptions, her long hairstyle is still very pretty.

Could you discuss Princess Charlene of Monaco. I feel she doesn’t dress to suit her shape, she seems to have a lovely figure, but hides it

The little mermaid dress looks like a costume.
The color didn’t work either - she matched the carpet and background.
I love the pink outfit right after the blue one!!!

Beebs, Really enjoyed the video. I loved Melissa's yellow dress and purple dress best. She is such an awesome dresser. I would love to hear your opinions on Valerie Bertinelli. I just love her. Many people say we look alike as well as shaped alike. Thanks, Bet

Oh dear. That blue dress from the mermaid opening was not up to her usual standard. It remindes me of my great aunt’s lamp shade.
The green cropped cardi has dropped back off her shoulders and therefore pulled up in the front to create that unfortunate triangle. It just needed an occasional tug down.
The black with the orange shoes was wonderful. The close fitting body with the cuff & hem flounce is a really nice silhouette on her.
I like the body shape diagram cards you’ve been putting up. They really help to see the body types.

I agree that Melissa would look great with a bun...a messy bun, not a tight knot like JLo or Meghan M.
I agree she missed on ....THe BLue dres.s... uu.m..no! Maybe bigger a cut out...no cloud cuffs...and a low two-inch empire band, not a belt...and semi-sheer sleeves in the same color with a two-inch cuff. But, then she didn't ask us. Was she going for a jellyfish look? See? It is sort of jelly-looking and marine-ish.
I agree with you on every other outfit you critiqued except for the black mermaid dress. Beebs...I have to allow one miss otherwise you would be perfect...lol. I think it's the mermaid hips and wide cuffs that are doing their job and are giving the illusion she has a longer waist. Pair that with a mermaid hem, and it looks like her feet were amputated and two freakish and horrible stubs were stuck on her stumps. This jumped out at me and when I saw it I couldn't unsee it. The cuffs make her arms look longer and those shoes...OMG...they are horrible. The short heel with a plunging scoop toward the toes makes the foot look deformed. It's creepy looking. I might be the only one that sees it! YIKES!

Hi beebs. Can you possibly find a short fat celeb, who has short arms. Short legs, short neck and round shoulders.! I'm 66 and still trying to get it right. Oh yes, and no waist!!! Love your channel. ❤

Melissa ought to have known that the carpet & backdrop would be that shade of blue at the Little Mermaid premiere. She should have chosen a different color aswell.

Great video. Could you do Emilia Clarke, Florence Pugh and Hayden Panettiere? I think they have similar body types- short limbs, muscular, small busts and hips (like me:))

I carry some extra weight in my backside and thighs. I feel like I have a nice waistline and bust. I would love to deemphasise my backside area. How would I do that??

I wonder if she gained 10 pounds and then chose the wrong dress. I understand that. When you’re short, every pound shows and she’s not even that short.
