I've been a Purple fan for 50 years and I've heard this song hundreds - possibly thousands - of times. But on every single occasion, I get lost in it and it never fails to thrill me. Wonderful beyond words.
Such a shame that the original recording lineup essentially played it live! This and "Living Wreck" are songs that should have been live staples in my opinion!

Just watched Perfect Strangers, now on to this one. Glad all you peeps are BD fans. But this is worse than a bad DP cover band. Voice is weak, off key often, and really, less power than Gillan has left.
Maiden is my favourite band but i commented the same on other songs of this show. But all the fan boys saying this sounds better than ian gillan has in 30 years etc is ridiculous. Gillan even now sounds better on these songs than bruce does here.
