      No one has had the heart that Stewart and Carmichael showed since they retired. Only Tomac comes close, in my opinion. Now, everyone has the exact same style, they all grow up at the same motocross camps, they all have a motorhome, etc. As more time goes by, I think it's getting harder and harder to argue that the introduction of 4-strokes and big money killed the sport. I think electric bikes will be the end, for sure.

      @djjazzyjeff1232 3 года назад

      @@44sammy4 Unfortunately there's not a good resource to see by-race information from more than 8 years ago, but as I recall Reed was (virtually) always 15+ seconds behind James n Ricky, and then a lot of times James would crash and he'd wind up 2nd and Ricky would win by a mile, even in Supercross. And he was even less impactful outdoors. I remember a lot of times outdoors Kevin Windham was that guy. But I have a lot of respect for Kevin because he was a true Journeyman of the sport and Chad would talk shit off the track about how he was up there just as good if not better than Ricky n James, which anyone from the outside looking in could see just wasn't the case. I understand that to be successful you have to sort of have that attitude, but you don't have to be the most arrogant and cocky guy especially when you're getting 3rd every night with no TV time.

The 2018 and up rmz is honestly the best in class right now in terms of value. It handles fine, isn't the fastest, has a few suspension issues and no electric start but that all can be fixed for cheap. A new rmz 450 can have the shock swapped for a 250 one or an older model for about 400 bucks. I've seen 2019s going for 5500 for a brand new bike. That means that with the price of the suspension fix i can have a brand new bike for six grand. If I wanted a ktm I'd be paying above ten. I'll take no electric start and a bike that works just fine for a 4000 dollar savings.

    Stewart really kind of sucks compared to Ricky. He relies way too much on luck. Almost every win against Ricky was because Ricky crashed. Otherwise, just drive reckless and hope for the best. Ricky could adapt and win on any track, any bike, any condition and no excuses when he didn't. He is head and shoulders above Stewart. Stewart was also way too dirty on passes throughout his career, one of the dirtiest ever. I like how Ricky passed clean after the bump exchange just to prove he didn't need to be dirty to pass him, Stewart couldn't say the same.

    Windham had probably the most natural talent in the top 5, but he was a headcase. JS had the raw speed, but just couldn't ride as consistently on the edge like RC was capable of doing. Reed was always very solid and a threat to win, but just a tick back from JS and RC. RC is simply the GOAT.
