The price to pay for the so called citizenship is too much under this proposal. Some people would have worn out while struggling to meet up with the requirements even before the citizenship is given

The immigration reform draft should also include punishment for immigration attorneys who just taking client's money and neglected them. They should be banned from being an attorney for life and donate all their money from clients to the American Small Business Fund.

60 percent of undocumented immigrant came to the US legally. They paid to come here, they speak English and are qualified people .they are here because of many different reasons .for the most part the only law they broke was when they over stayed. Many undocumented person pay taxes whether federal or state and property as well. Noone give anyone anything in this country. So work.them.for 10.years after they have been working and contributing so long. Who are your farmers, caregivers domestic helpers supermarket workers landscapers builders etc. Not because they are in those job means they are uneducated

I am assuming that temporary legalization will allow work in usa and travel (even if it is for 180 days outside of usa only) - that is not a bad deal .... atleast these people (some in my family) will come out of the shadows and start getting better jobs and see there family back home . It seems like an alright bill but the only problem that I see is that it kind of feels like explotation as you are to be constantly be giving your money and you cannot use any of the benefits. But besides that you can see your family after soo long.

It’s awesome to see that republicans agree Dreamers deserve a pathway to legal status. I’m very hopeful that their will be some sort of reform for people in this specific situation. There’s a lot of requirements to even qualify for DACA that sets Dreamers apart from the 11 million people that could be impacted by the U.S Citizenship Act. The American Dream and Promise act is something they might be able to get behind if they amend clauses that include border security. (It’s important to remember Dreamers are a group of immigrants that were brought her as children, educated in America, have held jobs and payed taxes.) I know it’s wrong to side with this small group of people, but as far as immigration reform goes, getting bills passed has always been difficult and sometimes we need to make the best of what we are allowed to proceed with and pave the way for the next opportunity for immigration reform.
