When vini first came to Madrid, it took time for him to adapt to the league and to handle the pressure in Champions league. Benzema was right, Vinicius was not a mature player back then and was throwing away that game. Nothing racist about it, and not about doubting his talent.
But clearly getting frustrated by his performance when he was fresh at Madrid.

It sounds funny when people say Vini deserves the award at all cost. The Ballon dor is not just won anyhow.
In the first place, in this ended season what is Vini individual achievement in both domestic and European league. He didn’t win the best player in the Spanish La liga nor the top scorer or assist, though he did brilliantly well.
In the Champions league too he wasn’t the top scorer nor player with most assists.
So the point is at what basis he is man for the ballon dor.
Look at Jorginho performance at Chelsea when he won the champions league and Europes brilliant season he had that year but still couldn’t won.
