In this video, we take you on a tour of our hotel room at the Hyatt Regency in Kolkata, India. As a foreigner in India, we were excited to experience staying in a 5-star hotel. While the amenities were impressive and the room was spacious, we did notice some areas for improvement. We'll show you the good and the not-so-good aspects of our stay, including the stunning views of the city, the room furnishings, and the less-than-ideal customer service. This city is a nostalgia to us. This can be a old fashioned and still have colonial shades in it's buildings and structures but still it's city of joy to us Bangalies. I know other cities of India had much more devloped but Kolkata still can beat them with it's large history... Stay well... Good wishes ❤️

I think in terms of facilities, this hotel seems pretty decent. Even this hotel has a luxurious five-star feel that doesn't seem over the top.

I am surprised to hear this channel gets hate comments as well. I really don't understand some people, what is there to hate anyway?
It’s just what it it. People hide behind the keyboard and no one sees their faces so out of envy they can’t say anything nice so they hate. I try to not get affected by them comments but once you read it I you can’t unread them and it does play up on my mind sometimes
@@AgnesMann Yeah, it is better to ignore them because they are a loud minority. Large people who appreciate you doesn't have the same drive to write positive comments compared to a frustrated individual looking for platforms to release it out of his system. You can pity them and leave it at that.

Just a fun fact, India’s taj group ranks best among all the hotel chains in the world for now consecutive years and taj Mumbai is its masterpiece but there’s this one rambagh hotel in Jaipur which by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in in my life. If you happen to be in Jaipur make sure you either stay there or explore the whole property with peacocks by visiting any of its food outlet like steam (train based) or Rajput room.
Yes I’ve heard about Taj and not yet had a chance to stay there but I shall one day for sure
Totally agree taj is next level in india as a foreigner i would prefer taj if you are ready to spent

Might not be as easy as it seems. Took so long to get 20k! But I believe in process and power of compounding effect. I just want to share my happiness with people but not everyone here in India takes it the right way so I get a bit of hate from just showing my experiences.

Nice hotel but not the best in Kolkata. The Grand I think is the best and oldest hotel. Please 🙏 can you review the Grand as it has lots of history 🇮🇳

Hayatt is a much older hotel and much high priced as compared to rating
Older doesn’t mean worse. We stayed in oberoi and it was excellent 👌

It’s going to be very difficult for anyone to stay in 4 star and below as the conditions get really poor.
oyo standards are not good. I have stayed in Delhi never again OYO.. I would stay in Hotel below 1000 rupees without kids

No that’s the cost for one night for one too. We stayed 3 night in 2 rooms. It’s a nice hotel but misses the luxury touch

Yes they go to private school with English speaking teachers and study Hindi as well so far so good thank you

Hello! Im plannig a trip to kolkata and im confursed between Oberoi Grand and the ITC Royal Bengal. Can you recommend which one to go for ? Though I like contemporary over classic, but still Oberoi is oberoi. So confused !! Any inputs would help ?
I’m in love with ITC and would 💯 recommend this one over the Oberoi. ITC is brand new, and I’m sure you’ll love it. Oberoi is a period property so it has its challenges and also it has small bathrooms but for those that love antique feel might be a better option. Let me know which one you ended up going for and what did you make of it. Thank you

₹7000 depending on the room
For a connecting room zats so cheap compare to taj
We paid 20000 rupees per nights for 2 room.. also we got the hotel on not so busy month

Kolkata is third class city with third class hotel
On that basis, all other cities in India can be termed 3rd class except Gurugram. Close to 40% of Mumbai population lives in slums.

I know in third class city there is no way to study because people from u r state rather than going to Kolkata for job they come to other city because they know it is a third class city and u guts are 2 rupees people

I must disagree. I have stayed in 3 start and 4 star hotels and they are definitely not better than Hyatt. Which 3 start hotel are you referring- maybe I should stay there too
