This performance by Home Free gives me chills every time I listen to it. So powerful - it was a perfect finale for Home Free. Very proud of those guys, and the amazing group they're continue to grow into.
the reason for the low ratings on the show is most likely because of lack of advertising and the sporadic schedule. I'm a loyal fan of the show but the airing times were so out of whack that I kept on missing the show by an hour, or I didn't know the next episode would be the next day and with a schedule like that there was no way new viewers would be pouring in. when quality shows like the sing off are cancelled it's usually because of self-fulfiled prophesies that the network creates, thinking because it probably won't work out we won't try to do anything and that will almost always result in poor planning and the eventual cancellation of the show.
With Mark Burnett and Nick Lechey now producing, it's a pretty good bet that the show will be back. I never had a problem finding the show. I just wish it had been longer than 5 weeks.
I watched an interview with Nick and Mark and they were both saying they were very happy to have teamed up and brought back this show. It was part of the short interviews shown on RUclips for the season 4.
I love watching your videos from the SIng Off..!ove the judges comments too! Easy to see why you won..you had it won from the very first performance as far as I'm concerned! You guys are the greatest!
A number of reasons for that. 1. They had been rehearsed so many hours a day that Austin almost did permanent damage to his voice, having been made to sing high notes over and over, and the others weren't in much better shape. 2 No offence to Chris Rupp but Adam Chance gives them a much better, fuller sound. 3. Mostly when you hear them now, live or on video, they're singing something that has been extensively rearranged and rehearsed. So in live shows they don't do anything new (like most ands the tour and the latest album are to sell each other) whereas in the SO most of it was new songs or in new arrangements. Then they had been flogged through it for long hours every day - and remember they were also rehearsing the big numbers at the beginning of each show, which often had complex patterns of moves to learn (here again Austin was featured every time so no wonder the poor kid was exhausted). 4. When you hear them live now, there's not much at stake, but in the SO nerves must have affected their performance.

@@noahchometa3519 Oh, that's sad that you lost what you love. But Adam Chance was a GREAT addition, and I think Chris Rupp was instrumental in choosing him. Adam Chance gives more leeway for Tim to "play" because Adam can take over the bass line. Plus he has this amazing smokey baritone. Go watch Brothers in Arms and Helplessly Hoping. Oh, and he does some kind of a throat singing thing you can hear in Man of Constant Sorrow, and Can't Stop the Feeling.

HOLY SHIT Tim Foust is a friggin' god. That note at @4:51 was nuts and the fact that he held it. I say they need to revive this show with a all-star/past winners sing-off or something
J.D. Sumner, Cash, the oldest Statlerbrother, whoever I saw way back in the day singing bass for the Gospelaires when I was so small I was standing in the pew withmy Uncle Bill holding me up, and a man named Ben whose actual speaking voice was down there, these have previously been the angels in f1 for me, now another is added to the pantheon. Ok maybe I should add the Oak Ridge boys but when seen live circa 1984 that ole son was having a hard time carrying, but then again we are talking the old Augusta Civic Center acoustics. Well done Sir Faust. It's not just the hit it's the hold and release, and you got it. A weird moment, it threatens to descend into Last Train to Clarksville on meth for just a few moments.
I forget there are no actual instruments. That is a praise. When you forget there are no instruments and they sound like a band with real instruments that you should be hearing on the radio is an awesome thing.
Home free is all over the place performing, where are you getting your information? They are performing to sold out crowds in larger and larger venues. I guess you don't get it, they are doing great!
Can't help but notice that the last two winners were 5 person groups. I feel that the larger groups are at a disadvantage, dead weight can creep in plus they are too locked into the traditional a capella way of doing things. Having like a five person group means you can't have any dead weight, its immediately obvious. You have to be very spot on with your harmonies. Smaller groups can change things up quicker if something in an arrangement isn't working. All of these things are one reason why Pentatonix have been so successful. Pentatonix have gone one step further than any other group though. They completely broke the mold of the traditional a capalla and found their style that is unique. For Home Free to have success with main steam music they need to do something similar.
Home Free definitely has found their own unique style! I love how they vary who carries the lead in each song, & occasionally swap who does certain parts. They each can do back up, Tim & Chance both do bass, Rob can sing a beautiful tenor and carry it sweetly and Austin, well, can can lead the best and hit those high notes like nobody’s business! Rupp, well, he can sing, too, he just doesn’t let it be know very well. He can play a “drum set” & a no Monica like nobody else! Our boys are simply killer at their talents, & in addition to all that, they have fun, they’re great gentlemen, & they make everyone laugh & cheer & have fun doing what they do. #HomeFryForLife ❤❤❤
unbelievable that Tim can hold the tone from 4:50 to 4:57 😲😲😲

Did Chris Rupp Leave… I thought it was Austin!
@@mikeamoore6150 nope its waa chris! i dont listen to their new music because its not the same without chris😕
@@noahchometa3519 You’re soooo missing out!!! They miss Chris Rupp, but their sound now is even more amazing!!! Chance is a good fit, & they work very well together. They’ve done some fantastic stuff!!!

They can't cancel it!! I absolutely love this show! This is where the true talent is! Home Free and Voiceplay were my favorites, but it's really frustrating that Voiceplay didn't showcase Tony's voice/talent at all! In my opinion Tony's voice is probably the most perfect/smooth/beautiful of the whole competition, but no one knew it.....but congrats Home Free you guys deserved it!
There is a video of Home Free and Voiceplay collaborating on "Survivor" (Ultimate Sing-Off Style) with a zombie versus hillbilly theme on Voiceplay's RUclips channel. There is also a very good Hunter Hayes medley on Home Free's RUclips channel,
i love watching how much fun they are having at 4:25
amazing sounds . I am in awe of the group Home Free.
I think 20% of the 1.3 million views was just me 😂😂😂 been watching since 2014 #homefree
Love you boys! ❤️ That was a great performance!

I love the way they sing ring of fire. First song I heard them sing and fell in love
These guys give me goosebumps.
I love when Austin goes up to the rafters while Tim heads to the subbasement...lol.
Home free should come and perform in West Virginia. Love ya. And would you ever sing a song with Josh Groban? it would be awesome.
I just keep coming here, day after day, week after week, month after month, for my Home Free Vocal Band fix. I don't often fall in love, but when I do, I fall hard. Just love these guys and everything they do. And, NO! I'm not anybody's mom.
Haha hell yeah, Tim Foust represent from my hometown Nederland, Texas!! #gotthatbass
They are AMAZING!!
2:27 badass Tim is badass
4:33 In sync: the brothers Rupp!
They were in sync cause the move was on the beat
Never ever heard of the Sing Off. Wish I had of cuz I would have watched it
great performance!!!!
austin has amazing belting technique
yes! and how he does it while also walking down steps - I'd fall on my butt LOL
I don’t know how he did it! He said he lost his voice that day & wasn’t sure he was going to be able to perform! Yikes. Glad he pulled it off so well!!
HOLY SHIT Tim Foust is a friggin' god. That note at @4:51 was nuts and the fact that he held it. I say they need to revive this show with a all-star/past winners sing-off or something
This is one of my favorite acapella songs of theirs: complex and fun.
Y'all are great I love yall❤
I love when home free songs it way to awesome
It's hard to sit still for this one!!
Tim's smile and casual look down for just a second makes me giddy ....he's gorgeous!!!!!

Stay friends and keep going! You guys are awesome! A pawn broker turned me on to you. Hopefully I will be able to attend when you are in Spokane Wa.
When Home Free sang The Ring of fire! Was amazing!
They are AWESOME
So true. When you have more than one voice on a part, they really have to lock in, and that's even harder than having not enough people
Home Free definitely has found their own unique style!
Home free is the best
Austin always had star quality.
I watch the sing off every season
