This wasn't in the manga either, but Abel is shown capturing them in a volume extra, reading Shounen Jump online(they did put this series for free) i was also suprised they didn't show that. From what i understand, the other volume extras are just jokes, only the Abel one is story related.
Mash would have likely lost if Abel didn't let him go initially as he was losing consciousness. He also got lucky when he was turned into a marionette and reacted instinctively because of the creme puff.
In the end I was saying that the yellow-haired guy at the end share certain qualities as mash maybe their related and their parents dumbed mas bc he didn't have magic
Finn and Dot were captured while Mash was fighting Rayne.
I was questioning if I fell asleep and missed something because I thought Rayne saved them lol
