Don’t forget about, shipping costs from China, foundation, electrical, water, and sewer hookups etc., can you get this insured in the USA? If so, at what cost? Good points about what Americans want in a house, if this is cheap enough when you add up all the costs, perhaps you can buy 2 of them. What happens if this is damaged during transport? How will any warranty be enforced when this company is in China, thousands of miles away?

What is the shipping cost to the U.S.A, and Europe
I have seen many of these "capsule home" videos, and while the concept is certainly tidy and cleanly designed, it lacks what Americans (mostly) actually want in a "home". Comfort. I see none of it represented here. We want to come home and have a mud room to toss our sports equipment and outdoor adventure clothing in, maybe a small workshop or space to build and create, maybe room for a home gym or yoga space, somewhere to actually stretch out and have friends over (a living room or den), a junk room to hold treasures or hobby supplies, and most importantly a space that is not a sterile medical-grade cubicle out of a space movie. As an Air B&B this might suit a weary traveler who is not in need of actual humanity in their sleeping capsule and just wants to clean up and sleep, but this feels like anything BUT a home. It is essentially a stand-alone well appointed hotel room. The design, as soon as it rolls off the assembly line, is a dated design and since it's a stamped design (figuratively) you cannot change the style. The Eastern idea of home is more frequently a minimalist concept without fluffy stuff and warm touches. These capsules take that idea to another level by eliminating even the most remote chance of feeling human. I find the same useless cold environment in the Airstream trailers. But I would assume their construction is well done, so there is that.
Lol this is why we pay way too much for stuff. They con us each time to think what Americans need in order to feel comfortable
I agree with what your saying but as a stepping stone this could be a good stepping stone if its placed some where for someone to save money to then build there dream home. As we know pricing for home in the states to buy or rent out of control. So if one has land placing this and starting to build ones home could be the way to go.
@@akaoeudoxia117 OK, you are correct there! As a clean, functional, safe positive place to live and start a life this IS a fine option. I have no doubt it is a top notch build with great purpose.
