You guys are both great! thanks for the review, it was good to hear your honest and unfiltered thoughts. I'm glad I didn't back this but I hope others can enjoy it.
Hopefully you get a chance to play it soon. Not quite sure when we will get the campaign review done but we are getting requests for it so probably once we get Aeon’s End and Journeys in Middle Earth wrapped up!
I sourced all the components from other players. Spend a pretty penny but worth it. The content can be used for table top rpg giving you great looking minis for your gaming sessions.
Don’t get me wrong I still love the way it plays. Very original. Although some thematic issues but is a board game not dnd. I enjoyed your review of the game. Thanks.
You mentioned that you felt the first couple Scenarios were too easy with 2 Players but it ramped up with 4 players. Would you still say the game feels too easy with only 2 players after you've played it more and if so would you say 4 players or more is the sweet spot for a proper challenge? Also do you think making a House Rule to give all the Enemies +1 or +2 to their Life Totals would help fix the easy difficulty or would a minor change like that not have enough of an impact?
After more played we still found it fairly easy that being said some scenarios were more challenging than others. Still would stick with 4 unless we are trying to play the game faster. You could add some health but they would potentially unbalance a few encounters also a good enough roll would render the changes moot.
@@DiceandDragons thanks for the reply! I already ordered Massive Darkness 2 because I love Descent 2nd Edition but having to have a Game Master (or using FantasyFlight's horrendous App) really made it difficult to get play sessions going and MD2 looked like a great alternative. If you have any recommendations of any House Rules you've come up with for MD2 that you feel might improve the game I would love to hear about them. Or if you have any other game recommendations for any similar type board games that focus on action and don't require a Game Master I would love to hear about them.
My first impressions were that this was a 6/10 - good, but felt very time-consuming for how simple it is. After more plays, I would now put it at a 7.5/10 - still simple and a little too long to play, but I really appreciate the unique class strategies and mission objectives. The best missions are the ones where you have a time limit as well as boss fights. The MD1 crossover mob enemies also add a large amount of challenge, as they are often more dangerous than the MD2 mobs! I can't wait to see your review of the campaign expansion!!
Glad you enjoyed it more after a few plays. The MD1 Cross over adds a ton of value. Not quite sure when we are going to get to Heavenfall but if we keep getting requests for it then it’s going to jump up the list. We have some review copies to get to and then we need to finish up Journeys in Middle Earth to get our vault space freed up!
For cards, i would recommend acrylic nail polish organizers. they do wonder and are able to hold on to all the cards necessary for a game. for tokens. i would recommend a plastic organizers at the Dollar store. 1 organizer of 24 slots holds all my tokens
Thanks for the solid recommendations. We were lucky enough to find the Quest Organizer so ended up picking that up. We got the token box but not sure if it's going to be to small for all of the different tokens types. May end up getting one of those plastic organizers.
As much as we love Terminator, Massive Darkness 2 is the better game with the campaign expansions, gear, sheer number of missions and the different player classes you going to have a better experience with the game.
I second the opinion. Massive darkness will give you more bang for your buck. And if you get the massive darkness 1 content and upgrade pack you have months of game play. Literally.
You two did it again. You talked me into getting another game. LOL! You two are awesome! Thank you for your great videos.
Thanks for all of your support! Glad we were able to convince you on this one it’s such a good game we know your going to have a blast with it!

Thanks so much for the kind comment! Glad you enjoyed the review!
Really waiting for the campaign review!!!
One more great review from you!!!
I did the bling all in but still haven't time to play it.

It can be great for other TTRPGs as well.

@@boardsandstuff5008 MD2 is a lot better than one. Do you have both of the games. Also sorry for the delay been away for work this past weekend.
@@DiceandDragons I do I have both and the upgrade pack to convert MD1 to MD2.
@@boardsandstuff5008 Awesome trying to find the time to start an MD1 or MD2 campaign

Should I get Massive Darkness 2 or Terminator Genisys: Rise Of The Resistance?

Please invest in 🎙 because hearing big reverb in your room makes me 😖
We have upgraded our equipment and beyond creating a studio out of our current space we won’t really be able to improve the audio quality.
