Everyone always missed one big one -- when the pay phone rings and the recorded message says "This message is for the benefit of Mr. Kite" it's actually a reference to a Beatles song called "For The Benefit of Mr. Kite", which has very psychedelic theme and fits the mood of the game very well. Subsequent messages refer to him as "Mr. K" which is also how he's referred in the song.

OMG I adore this game, but I didn't know that. I did play the game pre-release and again IMMEDIATELY after its formal debut~ I had issues with the payphones- along with trying to watch all (or even a few) of those TV broadcast things :/

There are a TON of Beatles' references in this game, too, scattered about: the mysterious "Mr. Kite" -- even a reference to something being for his benefit; the name "Prudence," a reference to holes in the Albert Hall, etc.

4:50 It's actually 7 characters. He calls you "Alfie Wossname", a reference to the titular character of the 1966 film "Alfie" starring Michael Caine.
I'd like to add one or two Easter eggs here. During Arthur's storyline mission, Sympathy for the Lightbearer, you infiltrate Nick Lightbearer's pad. The title of this mission is a play on the song title Sympathy for the Devil by the Rolling Stones. Light bearer in Latin is literally lucem ferre or "Lucifer" - one name given to the Devil. In Nick Lightbearer's house, we also find a poster where Nick bears a striking resemblance to John Lennon. Also, on the subject of Nick, during his DLC, we get to meet Virgil, Nick's agent. Virgil is also the name of the ancient poet and guide to Dante through the circles of Hell in Dante's Inferno. We also find a reference or two to the Shining with the quote, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" Foggy Jack has scrawled across a wall in the basement of the hotel in the same DLC.
There's also a more direct reference which is the name of the mission "Empathy for The Devil"

@@pitchblack189 Not about the game itself, but because it has been taken under gearbox software publishing. They saw the potential of the game and since they became a greedy company they have not found any better idea than greatly increase the price of the game. They literally doubled the price at the time, not to mention the season pass.

I've noticed a couple of beatles references in the game
Dunno if it's is an Easter Egg or not, but when you play as Ollie, you can create the toughest non-lethal weapon in the game called "Jack the Nipper". Doesn't seem like much to it, but having it is amazing. Has a robot voice that'll chatter when you equip, unequip, counter, and take down a foe. But what's it saying? If you have a way to reverse the audio, you'll find out that the robotic voice is talking like a gamer! "Domination!" "Godlike!" "Fatality!" There's more, but I can't remember offhand. best weapon in the game imo.
You misses one where if you start up the game as Ollie he can say "Lovely. I've reincarnated as Ollie Starkey."

There are so much of this game to explore! If it isn't buggy, it would be a perfect game in my opinion.
3 years later and it’s still buggy, textures won’t load and walking enemies you can sneak up on to take down will immediately respawn behind you in the spot they were standing at which can lead them to seeing you and everyone getting after you lol
Starting playing this two days ago and can confirm the thing is still buggy as hell.
ive never gotten any bugs like the kill and respawn one but sometimes ill see a character walking in the sky or sum and its just funny

Not just all the general references from things like 1984 (Arthur's job) and Brave New World ('on holiday'), but also things like the woman named Alice posting notes to the Doctors ^ ^. Also, Beatrice and Benedick are not just on the stones, but also the names of the characters from the Love Birds quest!

There is another bioshock referance /easteregg in we happy few. Near the end of act 1 when you have to sneak out of the quarantine area by going trough a luggage convayor belt thingy near that belt is a poster that is verry similar to steinman's posters from bioshock 1

There’s a whole bunch of Easter eggs in this game. The Wizard Of Oz shows up a few times, with both Arthur and Sally saying “there’s no place like home” when travelling through hatches. A lot of the random lines generated when travelling through hatches, or by Wastrels, are references. There’s more references to William Shakespeare, such as the quest The Scottish Play and So Foul And Faraday, both Macbeth references. There’s also Bring Out Your Dead, which is a reference to the Plague, also known as the Black Death. Johnny Bolton is part of the SOE, which was an actual British organisation in World War 2. There is also a character called Elizabeth Stride in Ollie’s level, whose name is a reference to one of Jack the Ripper’s victims

Mr. Beans Teddy, there are actually multiple places where you can find the teddy bear with the paper hat. one of them is in a cellar, like the one with the three rock secret.

You forgot the Easter Egg reference to Pinky and the Brain after Nick Lightbearer electrocuted himself when the power cell fell into the bathtub with him, and Arthur gets the idea to dress up as Nick at the Simon Says game and says "Hmm.. Are you pondering what I'm pondering?" to himself.
