Every single note played on this song is flooded with emotion and passion. This is hands down the most beautiful song I've ever heard. Gary Moore's guitar cries, shouts, and talks to us. A masterpiece in every single aspect.
My father recently passed away (Nov 8th,2023) and this morning I was listening to B.B. King Bluesville on SiriusXM. Well this song came in, and I thought my father was calling me. I cried like a baby in the car
For me it's one of those songs that are up there with Chris Rea's 'Josephine', 'The Road to Hell' and 'Looking for the Summer'...They really did play them a decent amount in Polish radio in early 2000s!
Used to be so easy to give my heart away But I found out the hard way There's a price you have to pay I found out that love was no friend of mine I should have known time after time So long, it was so long ago But I've still got the blues for you Used to be so easy to fall in love again But I found out the hard way It's a road that leads to pain I found that love was more than just a game You're playin' to win, but you lose just the same So long, it was so long ago But I've still got the blues for you So many years since I've seen your face Here in my heart, there's an empty space Where you used to be So long, it was so long ago But I've still got the blues for you Though the days come and go There is one thing I know I've still got the blues for you
Such a great and powerful song! Today as I’m typing this, today is February 6. 2021. Exactly ten years ago we lost Gary Moore, Rest In Peace Gary Moore.
hello, my name is Roberto, I’m Brazilian and I live in Florianopolis - Santa Catarina, I’m an amateur guitarist and I listen to Gary Moore to encourage and improve me on the guitar, it’s an honor for me to participate in the Gary Moore Society !!!! Thank you very much .
The song hits home. My husband passed away suddenly unexpectedly and the memories of him keep flooding my mind. He was so good to me.❤ I love you Will . ❤
so good he was too fast for bb king. it looked like an outtake... bb king just laughs. he's about the same level as knopler ruclips.net/video/jhdFe3evXpk/видео.html
@@fraser_mr2009 it's not about speed. And the great thing about Moore is that he realized that early on. BB king is not fast, but he never needed to be. It's all about phrasing. Speed is nothing.
I've been learning guitar since 6 months and when I heard this name from Joe Bonamassa I was intrigued and now when I heard him I feel blessed. I just listen to 3 songs story of the blues still got the blues and midnight blues. It's been 1 month these are my playlist in total. ❤
The atmosphere that this blues radiates is unique, it embraces you and caresses your soul like no other song, 34 years later I never get tired of listening to this wonder, RIP Gary.
I came across an instructional video for this, listened a bit and asked myself why I wasn't listening to the original, so I came here. Brings back memories of the mid 80s when I was to play guitar. So many interviews in guitar magazines asked guitar players who their biggest influences were, and I would see Gary Moore's name a lot. People like Vivian Campbell and Kirk Hammett sung his praises. Such tone, touch and vibrato. For those who only know him for this song, check out his work from the early 80s (and 70s?) - you won't be disappointed.

Uma das musicas mais lindas de todos os tempos. A guitarra já começa arrebentando com o coração. Quando eu era criança eu chorava ouvindo essa música! Até hoje me emociono toda vez que a ouço !
I remember back in the days when I was a kid, born and raised in a non-English-speaking country. I switched the radio to FM and started tuning through different stations. Then this song came on-I never knew who was singing, but it was a 'whoa' moment. I fell in love with Western music and the English language. Twenty-something years later, the same feeling hit me when I accidentally played the song again. :) Nostalgia is bittersweet.

You kidding? This is one of them ageless songs , never gets old!!! And the solo oh yeah hit full volume!!!!
There was so much rock and heavy metal going on and Gary puts out a blues album and it smokes them all. RIP Gary

Nobody could make a guitar cry like Gary Moore
Tom Verlaine lo sapeva fare, ma anche Gary Moore lo sapeva fare. Peccato per le tastiere, che banalizzano un poco l'atmosfera
Peter Green.
Check out Chris Rea!
I'm totally nuts about the man and his music ! He can make a guitar squeal , promise,!

Too much feeling for one person. Not counting his mastering of that Gibson LP. Bless you.

He reminds me of David Gilmour cause they both created the most emotional and bone chilling guitar solos ever.
He tended to shred to much towards the end of his career
