  • ‪@WithaTouchofLuxury‬ and ‪@DaniOchannel‬ collaborated on this great tag video. It makes a nice change every now and then to talk about what we won't buy. These simply don't bring me enough joy to justify the price tag, and there are other things I enjoy more 😊
Thanks to ‪@WithaTouchofLuxury‬ and ‪@LesleyAdina‬ for tagging me! Videos below:

    Loving the chipotle scale 😂

It's a solid meal for the price! 😅 Sometimes I see beauty products and think I'd rather get chipotle

    I love videos like this!
I found a new tip the other day to add to my life, I now ask business to price match and you would be surprised how many are happy to do this. I went to my local pet shop for my cats very expensive medication, it was 40% off for a few days at a competitive and I just asked if they could do the same for me and they did! I saved $75. I also don't do any beauty maintenance but get my blonde highlights twice a year (by a trainee who is supervised) , no lashes, no nails, no waxing, no facials, I do get a massage though but that's only a few times a year. I don't pay for a gym membership but instead ride my bicycle and do walks, I do go to yoga classes but yoga is my therapy.
My makeup is only my staples, I don't buy bottled water, I don't drink carbonated drinks and if I go to dinners and don't plan to drink alcohol I'll just have table water and it saves so much money, i don't ever buy alcohol just to have in the house, I'm not a big drinker, I also invested in a coffee machine and just drink coffee at home. I don't do take away coffees or foods. Once a month I'll order Indian curry because I love it ❤😂
Living this way works really well for me and this is how I have extra funds for bags and travel! The two main luxuries I can justify. I'm not that into clothes either. Most of my clothes are 1-10 years old and I outfit repeat all the time. I like quality materials and much rather have less clothes but good quality, I can't do polyester or plastic fast fashion clothes.
I love your wedding dress! I've always wanted a dress I can turn into a cocktail dress too! Very sustainable ❤❤

These are such good ones!! It all adds up over time. I've found many stores will even give discounts after a purchase if it's within a certain window. I bought a pair of sandals recently, and then a different store offered a lower price. They refunded the difference.
Totally agree on avoiding polyester clothes and choosing higher quality pieces that will last. I would like to invest in a sewing machine so I can repurpose clothing when they no longer fit or suit me ❤️

Oh yeah, that energy can go do one! 👎🏼 Love this video! And you're rocking the pink! 🩷 I share a lot of the same habits, and yet The Lion has the cheek to call me high maintenance! 😒🦁 RUDE! Awww your poor Honda went bye-byes. Cant beat Japanese engineering for reliability & longevity! Although I was always a Nissan girl. 😉🩷

How rude! Ben thinks the same, but we're not high maintenance 😅 Just balanced! I imagine getting a Subaru eventually, but that's my version of a fancy car 🙈💕

The bag and car comment. I’ve heard that before. I wonder what idiot made it up. If my car is fine, why does it need to be luxury.

    • @traingirl.meghan
      @traingirl.meghan  Год назад +2

Exactly! I was perfectly happy with it. I'm sure there's no winning in that situation anyway; if a woman had a nice bag and fancy car, those guys would say she looks materialistic. Best not worry either way and do what feels right 😅

And it's so easy to do most of them at home for a lower cost! My hair salon offers a hair mask treatment, but it's an expensive add-on when it's easy and cheaper to do it at home.

Thanks for doing this tag, Megan.
I use to think of big expenditures such as home renovations in Louis Vuitton bags. It was my lingo 😂 Once I thought how many bags I could buy, I would often cancel the project.😂😂
I also use a lot of Cerave and goodness I love that story about your car.❤

Thank you! 😊 I loved that car, but I was glad to make it just past 200,000 miles at least. Now I'm driving a Honda that's only 10 years old, and it feels like such a luxurious upgrade 😂

I use CeraVe cleanser and cream (Costco) too. I love that they are unscented while hydrating. I think that designer costume jewelry are totally not worth it. I rather spend on unbranded fine jewelry, which use expensive materials and has resale value. One thing I save on is my cell phone. I don't buy a new one every year or even every other year. If it works and holds a charge, it's OK.

Costco bargains for the win! I relate to all of these. CeraVe products are excellent, and I'll keep my phone as long as it works too.

Love the tea at the end! How many chipotles is the the OG will it grocery store! I am 100% with you on designer jewelry, but as a tea lover I will always order the tea. I am medium on tech, not an early adopter, but I will invest in it for sure as I am part nerd.

I should say the one exception is when I'm traveling 😅 Then all drink limits go out the window. I had so many cappuccinos and cups of tea in Scotland!

Thank you for sharing your frugal habits! I can relate to so many of your habits. No dry-cleaner for me either and I wish that I’d be better with taking my clothes to get altered to fit me better 💎
