We do a hotel pass up in the north. Its so nice to have a day off the beach and have use of the pool. Sunbed hoggers even there! 🙈 It's not fair on other people to reserve with a towel all day long. Great hotel where you were. Glad you had a lovely day! 🌞🌞🌞

Ooooooooooooo Alex! So brave but good for you. The hotels should have signs up saying.... " We want everyone to enjoy our sunbeds. If towels are left on beds we invite people to place them in..... so returning pool users can find them later"
Yes, they should ! They've left it to the responsibility of the holidaymakers to sort it out. Thank goodness the people whose towels we moved were reasonable people! Could have been so much worse!

Hi Alex, we stop here every September for the month,we've been staying here for 25 years, they are our Cas Saboners family. Rebecca on reception is so lovely.
All the staff are great
The staff were lovely, and I think it was Rebecca I spoke to at reception. Their role is sooo important to make guest feel welcome from the minute they arrive (and trust me this hasn't always been my experience in hotels). It's a very relaxed hotel and this is what I liked!
We stayed here last year and loved it. Great budget hotel and also had the ground floor room with personal sun loungers. We saw people reserve beds around breakfast time and not use them until late in the afternoon which is despicable. The hotel doesn't monitor the reservation of beds policy so selfish people will just go ahead and do it. Anyway, getting the garden apartment avoids all those shenanigans, so that's the way to go. It's a great hotel for the price in a convenient location. Would definitely go back there.
Definitely Chris, I think it's only a 3star, but for the acommodation (the luxury of an apartment rather than a room), with the option of meals and having all the restaurants around you in a great location, it's brilliant. ! Someone said it in the comments, but I think the sunbed hoggers were there for the happy hour at 4pm! 😂
Couragously. The sunbed reservers are a real plague. Unfortunatly you find them everywhere. But have you ever removed a towel from a reserved sunbed even with the allowance of the hotel and then the (still) drunk/aggressive owners come back later? This could not only be embarassing. I think it's the hotels tasks to ensure that the sunbeds are not reserved for hours without using them.
Thank you so much Max for your Super Thanks! Yes, it does put the responsibility on the guests rather than the hotel themselves, and it's a bit of a risk removing the towels. Thank goodness there was a happy ending in this video though! It could've been an entirely different video!

Just remove the towels and bring them to the reception desk. That’s how we handle “reservations”.

So nice that you can get a day pass to hotels like this!! Tempted to book a youth hostel in Palma or something and do some hotel days like this!! You look so relaxed there despite having to have the awkward conversation with the guests who had reserved the sun bed. So glad that they did not get confrontational and that you could throughly enjoy your day!

It never ceases to amaze me with some people, placing a towel on a sunbed early in the morning to be expecting it to be free late afternoon when someone could be using it throughout the day, extremely selfish individuals, but not surprising as I’ve seen it so often abroad.
I have to agree with you though, I don’t like confrontation either so taking them off and lying there, I’d of been tense for most of the day.😅
Yes, it wasn't an easy thing to do!! We soon forgot about it when no one turned up, and literally couldn't believe it when they turned up LOL.

We've stayed here in the past, its a lovely hotel/apartments. We had a ground floor apartment which included your own sunbeds so no need to worry about them if you opt for that, albeit it carries a slight premium.
It's great to see your video on it as we are thinking of booking for here again next year.

Thanks for this great vlog Alex.The sunbed situation has been going on for many years..Back in the late '70's and '80's everyone blamed the Germans for hogging the sunbeds,but now the Brits are the worst! Last year we were in Lanzarote,and I woke up around 6am,the sun was just rising ,so it was barely light,and I saw people putting towels on not 2,but 3 and 4 sunbeds! I just thought,how pathetic..This year we are going on a Med cruise,and cruise ships have the same problem with selfish people putting towels on sunbeds and coming back 3/4/5 hours later..So we as 4 in our group will monitor sunbeds,and if we see sunbeds unoccupied for a long period,we will fold their towels and hand them to staff members.If the selfish people come back and cause a scene,we will not tolerate them, and point out the courtesy rules,if they are aggressive,as some can be..they will be taken off the ship at the next port.
And this goes on on cruise ships too?! Good grief. That is absolutely ridiculous. I do however love your strategy. Everyone should do the same !

Hahaha, thanks Diane. They actually said "this is what you have to do to get a sunbed in the hotel". I said, no, what you have to do is remove the towels if no one is using them! 😂

Ich konnte das neue Hotel besuchen, das im Mai 2023 eröffnet wurde und zur Globales-Gruppe gehört. In Magalluf heißt es Cook's Club Calviá Beach und ist sehr unkonventionell und kosmopolitisch.👍👍
Das ist wirklich gut zu wissen. Ich freue mich darauf, dieses Hotel eines Tages auch zu besuchen!

We looked at this hotel whilst staying in the Rosa del mar a couple of weeks ago down the road it looked ok bit not as nice as the Rosa on first impressions ,it a great insight to hotel through youre vlog , not sure how I feel about people using hotel if they aren’t staying there though especially if they are running at near full occupancy !! Awful situation with people hogging sunbeds though the hotels really need to get a grip on this I can see some ugly confrontations going on !! Keep up the good work
Thank you Tobi - yes, the hotels that are full will stop sales on day passes, but I don't think they were entirely full. I see what you mean though. And spot on about the hotel taking responsibility for the sunbeds!

Honestly, sun bed blockers should be thrown out of the hotel 😂. Glad they were ok with you but they don’t have any right to a sun bed! I’m coming to Majorca next week and the sun bed situation is playing on my mind. I would never leave my towel if I wasn’t actually around the pool. I don’t understand the mentality of it.
Do as I did! I bet the towels were there from 8am. Imagine 8am to 3;45 pm being reserved . Just remove them and say they left them behind ;)

THE SCOTTISH SCHOOL HOLIDAYS HAVE STARTED TWO WEEKS AG
I know this, and then those words rolled out of my mouth with my mind in England, not the UK as a whole, AND there was no easy edit. doh! I'm trying to get the content out while it's peak season. I've recently come back from an amazing holiday in Scotland just as kids broke up there, and had THE most wonderful experience. THE FRIENDLIEST people ever made that trip amazing. Will be going back.
Does the day pass allow you access to shower after and how much is the pass ?

bloody Hell Alex your a brave girl you should have got them to do it ,you are right but you have to be careful these days Iam sorry but it's there responsibility to make people keep to the Hotel rules not yours because if the poo hits the fan over that kind of thing they would say ,who me no no nothing to do with us we never told any one to do that , it did make me laugh but be careful you never know how some people may react
