Good morning from Raleigh, NC. Please pray for our folks in western NC. Some areas have been totally devastated, just gone! 😢. Just breaks my heart for these people that have lost family members - so many still unaccounted for. Your positive attitudes & happy vibes always make me smile.

I was the driver once the boys were grown. Ron had trouble with the sun so even with sun glasses on he squinted & it didn't take much & he fell asleep. He blew 2 tires from falling asleep & running off the road. I loved driving so it was a no brainer.
Remember when we were kids and summer felt it like it lasted for ever. And it took forever for Christmas to come.

A good trick to backing up a trailer is to keep your hands at the bottom of the steering wheel and move the wheel in the direction you need the trailer to go. Easy peazy!
@53:56 In the 1970s my 3 year daughter and I were on a "pay day date" ... I was a single mom and we would go to a fast food place of her choice for supper twice a month. We were in Dairy Queen where there was a cigarette machine. Someone had used it and she kept staring at the machine afterwards. I said "What is it, sweetheart?" Her response "When is the music gonna start?" thinking it was a jukebox 😁
Brooke my mom was a driver too. She loved driving. But I'm a gazer. I love to sightsee!

Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Smith well it’s been very windy here all night and I live in the woods always afraid of the trees, but I did sleep well. I think the Olympic mountains in Washington have had their first snow. I noticed that the animals don’t want to spend that much time outside anymore because it’s a little chilly, love your farm. Love your animals.

I sit and watch and relay what you are saying to my husband! LOL! We're up in the Pacific NW and our Bald Eagles are huge! I've seen them flying parallel with me as I drove on the dike that runs next to the Columbia River! Fabulous to see! And, 10 years ago, my daughter WAS attacked by a deer. The doe and her fawns had been around since they were babies and my grandkiddos had even petted them. One day, she was leaving to go to an appointment and one of the maturing fawns decided she could not leave her house and attacked her. She finally managed to get to her car. His antlers were still small, but she ended up bruised and battered. She still gets twinges. Long story short, after other close calls, they realized he was rabid. It was rutting season and the combo was dangerous.

My dad had an 18ft speedboat. The only place we had to park it was in the driveway. I had 3 ft clearance on each side. Since he had a cap on the back of the truck I had to depend on the side mirrors. He had to teach me how to back it up and after one try it slipped in like butter. He was so proud and talked about it for months to anyone who would listen. .

I never catch lives because of the time zone. I was just watching this mornings live. You should check out the Alaska raptor center! It is located in Sitka, where I live. They rescue and rehab raptors. Eagles and owls do shows during tourist season. Bald eagles fly free here. Beautiful birds, but also chicken, duck, and bunny killers. I am one of few here who have never had to experience that loss. Minks are my biggest threat, but they do not seem to appreciate my mated pair of geese these days. Lol

We have finally gotten some rain here in Southern New Mexico, after a very long dry spell. The people, animal life and plant life are all so thankful.
Our teachers lounge back in the late 60's was probably 12 x 12 and even with the windows open in the winter, the air was almost blue because of the smoke.

You are 100% right about hunting. Baiting is not hunting. My ex husband would scout for months before season started. He searched all the signs and calculated the best place for him to hunt. He bagged several trophy bucks. But he did it the sporting way.
I love hearing you call him daddy. My daddy died in a plane crash when he was 37. I was 16. I’m 80 now and I still like to call him daddy. My mom said I did until I was in high school and got teased for it. ❤❤💔💔. But mom was mom. I’m not sure when I stopped calling her mama. My very grown kids will call me mama. lol.

Young people always think they know better than their elders!! You live and you learn!! You didn't say if you ever used doe urine again?!! I bet not!! When I was young worked in a small hospital, at lunch time I went to the cafeteria and people, employees where smoking away while people were eating!!! Glad your back is on the mend!! I was 15 when I started smoking. I would stop at the local convenience store & bought cigarettes. This was in 1967. They didn't have an age limit then. Fast forward to 2004, I stopped at a gas station on the way to work & I actually got carded. I couldn't believe it. Actually I took it!as a compliment bc they thought I was younger than I was. I laughed at that.
