This does work. I am genderfluid (I don't have a binder) and when I feel more masc i wear darker shirts and it helps me look flatter. I have a question: Are you ever too young to bind? I was talking to my mom about how I needed better hair spray, saying that I don't like having to redo it about 50 times. "Well that's what girls do." She said, I was so close to saying "but I'm not a girl". (I'm trans FtM and she doesn't know)

Heh.. My parents don't support me, I sort of try to bind myself but it doesn't work.. I've tried a lot to find my own way yet I never can. I even asked when I'm eighteen would they care if I were to take hormones. They said no and took my phone away for a month for talking like that. I'm in a great situation.
I live in Bakersfield... I wear a hoodie all the time, even in summer. I tell my homophobic and transphobic family that they are just comfortable. I wish I had a binder.
I can’t wear a binder due to having an autoimmune disorder (my brother told me that it’s more dangerous) and he got me a compression bra which I’m so so grateful for. But lately I have been feeling extremely dysphoric and the compression bra doesn’t really help flattening the chest. My brother thinks it’s a phase I’m going through and it sometimes makes me doubt myself but seeing people like Sam makes me feel not alone :)
hey just know youre definitely not alone, theres tons of trans people out there and only you know what you are and what you arent. Dont let your brother thinking its a phase make you doubt yourself, you are who you know you are.
@@celso2843 thank you that really meant alot, but thankfully my brother does understand it and knows that there are non-binary people thank goodness I also just want to say my brother is actually a really good person lol he's still learning about this stuff and is caring so yay hah
I have a gc2b and it is SO EASY to put on! Seriously they're only $30 or $35 each and they work so good. I'm going to try trans tape soon. I have a very large chest and I'm excited to try it. It isn't athletic tape, it's designed specifically for taping down your chest and is safe to wear for 3-5 days. It's water-proof and all that. (I promise I don't work for them I'm just really excited to try it lol)
I'm ftm as well with a small B/larger A chest with broader shoulders (pre-t). I've found that KT tape works SUPER well and is the most comfortable to wear. Pros: No pressure on back, shoulders, or ribs (unlike a tank type binder) if used in the right way. Can be used for more than 8-12 hours (usually about a day and a half) without changing it out; really depends on how much you put on and what activities you do. Very comfortable and safe if used correctly. Cons: Cost. Cost. Cost. A regular wearable tank binder will cost around $20-$30. No problem. KT tape comes in 20-strip rolls, which will last you about an average 15 days if you use only two strips at a time. Ordering in bulk from amazon is an option, but otherwise you will have to pay about $15-$20 every time you get a new roll. Another con I shouldn't forget to mention is your skin. For me, wearing the tape at night wasn't the best experience for the skin on my back/lats. When I rolled in my sleep, the tape would cause friction against my skin and I would wake up with raw patches. I would recommend taking the tape off in the shower or bath to reduce the redness and friction.
KT tape works really well if you have a small chest. There's also another type of binding tape that's recently hit the market, and it's called TransTape! It was created by a trans guy for people that want to bind, as opposed to KT tape that's made for sports health and injuries. TransTape has worked really well for me, and it's hella cool bc it comes in different sizes (bc hey, everyone has a different chest size). Granted, it can take a minute to learn how to put it on correctly, but the creator has actually put a video on youtube explaining and showing how to apply it!
1. I know this is an older video and I’m late. Don’t remind me. 2. Sam, I’m a HUGE fan of you! I’ve been watching for a while now and I love watching you grow into a better human every day, not to mention you’re such an inspiration for other trans guys out there, such as myself 😊 Anyways, honest review of GC2B and Underworks binders. I used to use Underworks binders bc they can be the cheaper option at times and I got a good review from another trans creator. I bought my first one several years ago and it was really nice. It’s just SUPER tight, even if you get the right size. The material was also super scratchy and irritated my skin so bad to the point that I bled a lot and my skin would never heal. Also, not many color choices, but that wasn’t so important to me at the time. However, I would still recommend it as a good 1st binder. Last year, I got my first GC2B binder and I’m literally in love. The material’s a lot thinner and more breathable (perfect for these humid summer days here in NC), it’s not nearly as scratchy, it binds just as well if not better than Underworks, and there’s SO many color options and coverage options (just your chest or your whole chest and stomach)! Also, they have swim binders and all kinds of cool stuff for sale! If you can afford them, GC2B is my favorite option. They have a lot of deals on their website almost all the time. But anyways, this comment is already long enough so I’m gonna go. One last thing tho, love all my peeps who bind and love you Sam! Keep doing your thing, man! ✌🏽
I was extremely lucky for when I brought my binder. I measured myself and I was 1 inch short (at the time) for the smallest size. But when it came, it was too small because we kinda accidently washed it. So it shrunk an inch :)
hey guys i highly recommend transtape for binding its a lot like kt tape but made specifically for trans guys anyway its not as bad for you as binders and you can wear it for up to five days at a time so i prefer wearing transtape rather than a binder
I told my mom that I had a binder ( she wouldn't let me have one due to safety ) but now that she saw one in person today she said "hey, lets get you another one! you can where them whenever as long as you are safe."
I’m trans (ftn) and I just got my first binder but it’s in my house in New York and I’m on vacation in Costa Rica so I’ll get it when I get back.. AHHH I WANT TO SO BADLY. Iv been questioning since second grade and now I’ll finally feel like myself and I’ll get to have a binder before my 13th birthday.... I’m so excited
currently layering as many compression sports bras as I can, ordering the gc2b one on Friday tho. i cant wait to feel more confident in the clothes I love so much (button ups, hoodies, giant shirts etc)
I have a Gc2B binder, but I highly recommend the long version of it due to slippage. It won’t slip to the point where your chest is exposed if you have the short one, but it’s mostly a comfort issue to me. Plus they’re top notch binders for a decent price. The most you’ll pay is $40
my mum got me a full tank GC2B cuz they didn’t have a half tank when she ordered it but it was a size too big so i was able to get a size down in half. when she ordered the first one, it took a while to arrive (around a month, month & 1/2) but only cuz lockdown happened and literally everything was taking like five years. my second one i ordered took about a week or two and showed up with really discreet packaging - it didn’t even say GC2B - and i had a little trouble putting it on, but it fit perfectly after i got settled down in it. i will say that i can’t slouch a ton as it digs into my stomach a little but overall it’s pretty nice. of course i have a little discomfort while i have it on but i expected that since i’m literally compressing my chest into my lungs but yknow-
for people who are dysphoric about their hips/legs,, if you wear a lighter coloured baggy-ish shirt or sweater and black or dark colored pants it'll even itself out a little
i really need a underworks binder or a gc2b binder cause atm i use bandages and it has caused so many problems ... but my family wont buy me one as they are not supportive and i cant afford one cause i dont get money
yeah i know what that feels like i use bandages because i'm not out to all my family im just out to my sister and my mom and im a student i cant work so i depen on my mom and she doesnt want to buy me a binder because she doesnt support me being trans
jai cooper please please please please do not use bandages. layer sports bras or something but please do not use bandages it can severely hurt your ribs
jai cooper ftm essentials is a website that gives out free binders for ftm people that either can't afford or can't get you just have to submit like a form and they'll either accept of deny you. They give out underworld binders at the moment that were donated to them. I'd suggest trying that for you. They ship discreetly so your parents won't know you're receiving a binder. But both Gc2b and under works are great tho
I have a big chest. I used to wear underworld every day. It binded well. It was hard to put on. But get the correct size. And make sure you measure! I now wear GC2B, and it's the most comfortable breathable material I've worn to bind. He's right with button ups. Accuracy with his tips.
Aight so my parents are unsupportive af and my best mate gave me one of his old binder (love him 😂) but hiding from my parents is gonna be difficult af and I’m pretty sure I’ll die if they find out. Soooooooo 😂
My mom won't let me get a binder because my family doesn't support me. I'm 14 and she thinks I'm going through a "stage" but I tell her it is not a stage and she said I don't need to change my body. Now I can't sleep at night and think I'm going through depression

Me:120 degrees outside, and still refuses to leave the house without a hoodie
I get that
@@maddie9125 thats good, i hope everything works out for you!
Thank you so much I’m non-binary and this helped a lot *ik this video is old but I was looking for binding tips and this came up*
Awww, that's really nice Sam....good job!
Granted, it can take a minute to learn how to put it on correctly, but the creator has actually put a video on youtube explaining and showing how to apply it!
this helped me so much thx Sam
I love you sam. Thank you for being such an amazing role model
this video was good cuz i was wondering bout some binders n shit like that. getting some soon, need a few :) love you sam!
Your videos are so amazing and they make me feel happy that we have had a lot of the same problems as being ftm
Right now I only have access to sport bras but they work ok

Always love your informative videos Sam!
JUST STARTED MY TRANSITION YEAAAAY :DD
Lmao he’s like “this is my set up” bro, I love it and I’m so happy that you’re doing well
thank you dude I've been trying to find a video about this
When small tibbies run in the family: imma just wear two bras
Who tf named the bra?
i love the xo merch, i've been listening to abel since 2013 :)
Omg you're such an inspiration, truly thank you so much. This is amazing and you're even more so❤
:) You're videos are great. I really hope you keep this channel up.
I was just watching some binding videos and this was only posted an hour ago lmao ily sam
Guess who’s mom asked a bunch of yes or no questions and let me buy a binder!
Lol I was still too scared to say anything more than yes or no.
I feel like I'm trans so this helped a lot👍 (also you are one of my favorite you tubers)
Your an inspiration
1. I know this is an older video and I’m late. Don’t remind me.
2. Sam, I’m a HUGE fan of you! I’ve been watching for a while now and I love watching you grow into a better human every day, not to mention you’re such an inspiration for other trans guys out there, such as myself 😊
Anyways, honest review of GC2B and Underworks binders.
So it shrunk an inch :)
hey guys
i highly recommend transtape for binding
its a lot like kt tape but made specifically for trans guys
anyway its not as bad for you as binders and you can wear it for up to five days at a time so i prefer wearing transtape rather than a binder
This video was so helpful. I love gc2b they are a great company
AYYY NOTIFICATION SQUAD
I told my mom that I had a binder ( she wouldn't let me have one due to safety ) but now that she saw one in person today she said "hey, lets get you another one! you can where them whenever as long as you are safe."
I bind every now and then by using a sports bra. I'm experimenting right now but I feel a huge boost in my confidence when I do.
Love you bean
I'm actually getting my first binder! Im getting it from a Point of Pride giveaway
This is very awesome of you I’m not trans but I support all of you
Thank you, Sam Collins ❤
Hey! I actually like that lighting! It looks great!
currently layering as many compression sports bras as I can, ordering the gc2b one on Friday tho. i cant wait to feel more confident in the clothes I love so much (button ups, hoodies, giant shirts etc)
this helped so much, thank you sam
I have a Gc2B binder, but I highly recommend the long version of it due to slippage. It won’t slip to the point where your chest is exposed if you have the short one, but it’s mostly a comfort issue to me. Plus they’re top notch binders for a decent price. The most you’ll pay is $40
my mum got me a full tank GC2B cuz they didn’t have a half tank when she ordered it but it was a size too big so i was able to get a size down in half. when she ordered the first one, it took a while to arrive (around a month, month & 1/2) but only cuz lockdown happened and literally everything was taking like five years. my second one i ordered took about a week or two and showed up with really discreet packaging - it didn’t even say GC2B - and i had a little trouble putting it on, but it fit perfectly after i got settled down in it. i will say that i can’t slouch a ton as it digs into my stomach a little but overall it’s pretty nice. of course i have a little discomfort while i have it on but i expected that since i’m literally compressing my chest into my lungs but yknow-
Aight sorry this is off topic, but nice pfp👌
[help], thanks bro :,)
Yo I'm a trans guy and I've been binging your videos all afternoon you are like my goals honestly you seem like such a cool guy
for people who are dysphoric about their hips/legs,, if you wear a lighter coloured baggy-ish shirt or sweater and black or dark colored pants it'll even itself out a little
GC2B is what I use. It's really nice and what I would recommend.
i really need a underworks binder or a gc2b binder cause atm i use bandages and it has caused so many problems ... but my family wont buy me one as they are not supportive and i cant afford one cause i dont get money
yeah i know what that feels like i use bandages because i'm not out to all my family im just out to my sister and my mom and im a student i cant work so i depen on my mom and she doesnt want to buy me a binder because she doesnt support me being trans
jai cooper please please please please do not use bandages. layer sports bras or something but please do not use bandages it can severely hurt your ribs
jai cooper Get a job or sell some old stuff you don't use.
jai cooper ftm essentials is a website that gives out free binders for ftm people that either can't afford or can't get you just have to submit like a form and they'll either accept of deny you. They give out underworld binders at the moment that were donated to them. I'd suggest trying that for you. They ship discreetly so your parents won't know you're receiving a binder. But both Gc2b and under works are great tho
accept or* deny. It's worth a try just fill out the form it could take a few weeks for them to get back to you
s/o kt tape!!!! u can get it at WalMart in the hand weights and yoga mat area!!
whoa i didn't know u were about to upload
That is awesome! For kids or people who cant get them... that's so sweet! Xoxx
