So much going on musically! Tobias is using the original notes from the John Carpenter Halloween Theme, check that out if you’ve not heard it or forgotten it. He’s also spent some time in production as noted with the effect pointed out…..the lyrics go “memories are faded but they’re coming back to me my friend “ and the first part of the effect is the reverb and echo begins to fade out while the cymbals and keyboards fade in to heavy echo and reverb almost like a “spinning “ effect musically. The acoustic guitar at the beginning in minor is reminiscent of Toccata en Fuge…… which is the basis for the original Carpenter music. Quite genius by Tobias;he plays these tricks on us in many Ghost songs as well as his word play……which is also plentiful in this song as well.
See wow so much more than what meets the eye with this song, I had forgotten how the original track went but now listening to it I can hear it. Tobias is such an incredible musician who doesn't get enough praise.
A new album is definitely on the way. It was announced a while ago and apparently it was already written and recorded. Tobias was just waiting for when he could tour again. Most likely very very soon.
I hadn't heard this yet either, so decided to watch along with you. I often play Ghost if I'm hanging out with people who don't like heavy music of any sort. Anyone can get into it. After a few drinks everyone ends up singing along to the choruses!
Thank for watching it for the first time with me! And I 100% agree with you and I do the same thing with my mates, the local pub here had rats & dance macabre on there playlist as well so once every hour I make sure they come on haha.
I'm glad you liked this song, and I'm glad there are more people that are liking this song, I know I love it, this is my favorite song by Ghost. I have not listened to all of his albums yet though.
I'm going to suggest you try The Warning. It's 3 sisters from Mexico whose cover of 'Enter Sandman' went viral (22+ million views) in 2014 when they were 14, 12, and 9 years old. Now their new cover of it, with Alessia Cara, is track #1 on Metallica's Blacklist album. But they are not a cover band. They have an EP and 3 albums of original songs. Try 'Evolve' or 'Choke' for some of their newest stuff.
Correction - they painted the Shatner mask with white spray paint, ripped off the sideburns, teased the hair out, and cut the eye holes wider to create the Michael Myers mask.
Who cares if they went poppy here? It’s for a movie folks. Doesn’t mean that is the direction they are going! However like he said I enjoy the poppy even more.
I can appreciate it for what it is but it definitely isnt what im looking for when it comes to power metal or metal in general. They sound like a contemporary version of Lordi, a softer almost more soft rock than hard rock or metal. To each their own but definitely not what i would look for in a metal band, lacks that grit. Apparently they arent trying to be metal according to the frontman but personally to me it feels like this is music crafted for radio and the muted guitars and drums just do not do it for me =/

@@Jaimunji Yup! Should be out soon then. Cannot wait!

Album is rumored to come out February 2nd
Think the tour starts before that.
@@charmainenicholson7018 yes, but usually the albums come out a week or so after the first tour of an album cycle starts
I like the poppy sound too

Not from new album, Halloween kills the move written for it was.
Ghost reaction and some wrestling in the intro? Instan sub
You're the first person ever to comment on the wrestling stuff and it's about time! Sometimes I have a Jushin Liger mask in the background as well.
They painted the Shatner mask white and cut the eye holes bigger.
If you don't know ghost have a new album coming out soon I wouldn't say your a massive fan.
I can't seem to find a release date so I'm guessing it's not this year.
@@Jaimunji it's not this year. Their new album is supposed to be released next summer or fall.
Dude fr paused at the best part
