Amazing store, could empty my bank account in there with little difficulty. Of all the Bourbon hunting videos I have watched, this store curb stomps them all.
Just stopped in and was AMAZED by their foreign selection. Picked up a New Zealand, Belgian, Italian, Japanese, and an Austrian! Talked with the owner for quite a bit and she had a real passion for the spirits. I highly recommend stopping in if you're looking for rare and unique products! 10/10
Belle Meade Sherry, Madeira and XO at what looks like $69.99 is insane! Big respect to the owner. Huge variety and great prices. I wish stores were like this in my area.
What a lovely store Spiritz is, no wonder why you like it. $200 botttles that you can just pick off the shelf without needing help. A lot of those whiskies never make it very long in Michigan. Knob 12, Remus 6, Cleermont, Peerless double oak. We never see them or they're gone before they hit the shelf in Michigan and Ohio.
Again, what a great store to visit! Love the vintage eye candy of the Eagle Rare, "not for sale" bottle! We've yet to visit a store that does the hiding of the special bottles. JM Cigar Blend is a great find and I about died when you said the Remus VI was around $100...not around our neck of the woods, for sure. Great prices, like the $43 1792 full proof and a store pick!! That would've been tempting to grab a few of those for sure!! Great video!
I happen to be heading that way tomorrow and will take a side trip to visit on the way home! Great store picks and I would love to find a surprise hidden amongst the shelves.
Excellent- i pick it up @ every opportunity. Rarely do I ever see it though, especially at that price. Probably the best bottle in that store… Remus repeal reserve VI is fantastic also. I would’ve grabbed both…
Love these hunt videos. If I would have seen those 1792 full proof store pics, I would have bought at least two. Absolutely love that distillery. I have most of their line up except for the sweet wheat and high rye. I even have the 12 year but haven’t opened it. Great video.
@TheBourbonNote I don't know how but your video completely UNDER sold this store. Amazingly helpful and fun staff with fantastic prices on some incredible bourbon. My new favorite store as well now 👍
My first reaction was jealousy that the store wasn't near me. Then relief. If it WAS near me, I'd be constantly fighting off the urge to go for broke. Really enjoyed watching the hunt.
i have one of those old 1980's Eagle Rare wooden boxes back when they were 101 proof trying to take on Wild Turkey. they conceded that battle lol, what is funny is that a russels reserve bottle fits perfectly in that old ER box, a little tip of the hat from Wild Turkey
Awesome store. The J Henry 2022 Limited Edition is fantastic. That was the largest selection of Barrel bourbon I have ever seen at a store. You should try Lucky Seven. I have 5 or 6 versions and they are pretty good. Especially the Proprietors 14 Year and 15 Year. I am not a rye guy, but New Riff Balboa Rye is tasty. Great pickup on the JM Cigar Blend. 🥃
Very much like Hi-Time here in Orange County. Fun store, so many choices gunning for your greenbacks. Stay away from the Rebel Yell Root Beer! Balcones True Blue was pretty good. Lots of interesting bottles I've never seen. Nice score on the Joseph Magnus; love those cigar blends.
Belle meade was the mgp juice used by the distillery that now makes their own line. Nelsons was the first bourbon in my collection and to this day(roughly 160 whiskeys tried) ranks fairly high in my book.
Awesome video! However......I feel like this was specifically meant to shame me because I drive past it at least 20 times a year and have never stopped. And have been to the Subway 100 ft from the store. After seeing this video I'll be stopping there this weekend. Cheers guys! I could have used a few of those bottles you bought though. Joseph Magnus Cigar Blend? C'mon. Unicorn.
I work at this location....we get TONS of products in, Alyssa the owner is big into bourbon, a couple times a year she does a bourbon raffle, last time she had some pretty rare bottles and I think she plans on having another raffle coming up within the next couple months!
That’s a really nice store. From my observations, prices are on average $10+ too high. However, it’s good to support stores like that within reason. What strikes me is the insane amount of bourbon inventory liquor stores like this one carry these days. I hope the bourbon bubble doesn’t burst anytime soon. Otherwise, many of these stores wouldn’t make it. Personally, I don’t see a long term future for bourbon if prices continue to skyrocket. Once unheard of, $80-$100 bottles are becoming normal. Not hoping it happens, just making small talk. Thanks for the video.
@@TheBourbonNoteChicago area which is not cheap. Your SRPs can’t possibly be higher. For example, Peerless Double Oak was marked $113 I believe. SRP is $90-99 tops. Barrel should be $79 for regular releases and it was $99+. There were other examples as well, but I’d have to go back and write them down. Not knocking them, just an observation. Some of the cheaper stuff was only a few dollars more. I suppose there were good prices on some as well.
Brother justus is a pass. Its aged less than a year in 5 gallon barrels. Their original release was really good but they sold that out, then made the new ones at a fraction the age and triple the price.
Wathens - very high corn mashbill, buttery corn, weird, big miss for me. Punchers Chance - Beam mashbill, cheap like an Old Tub. Peerless isn't cheap, but that Double Oak is a huge hitter and would tempt me. I would have bought the Remus if it was the 5 instead of the 6. Would have walked out with the 1792 FP picks for sure. Keep looking at the Doc Swinson's and leave that Pinhook. You are totally missing out on Lucky 7 - a lot of people's whiskey of the year last year.

Great to hear!
I like that you guys actually buy bottles.

What a great store. Nice haul. Doc Swinson’s BC is some of the best MGP I’ve had. Cheers guys!!!

1792 Full Proof store pick is some of the best bourbon I've had. Would love to get another! Nice video 👍

I love this store and I've never been. this is what I call an easter egg hunt.
It's a great store!
I’m maybe an hour and 15 from melrose. Will definitely have to go patronize this store!
I'm glad that liquor emporium is not near me, nice haul!
Excellent store. wish they were closer but if im ever out that way ill have to make a stop.
I live about hour away but never drove that way for bourbon. Always drove towards the cities. I now know where my next stop will be. Great video 👍
It's a great store!

Glad to hear you made the trip! I agree, the video just doesn't do it justice, and the people who work there great!

It's probably for the better that it's an hour away from us!

That's awesome!
Great pick! I scored a Border Bonded last week which turned out to be a fantastic pour.
Noticed the Knob Creek 12 just sitting there. Still have never seen it in north GA
I just picked one of those up a couple weeks ago. Great pour!
Great video and great store. Nice haul.
Great video! I have a Bulleit Barrel Strengh batch 7, and it's wonderful! Definitely worth the buy!

If you are interested in RockFilter take a day trip down to Spring Grove and check out the distillery.
Sounds like fun! I've looked them up and it looks like a cool place.

That's a normal price around here for the double oak rye. The regular double oak is around 100.
Nice haul
Thanks!
Nice to know you're keeping it classy with that Black Box. #BoxWine
🤣🤣🤣
Wow, great selection and only 30 miles away for me. Nice haul, keep up the great videos guys!
Thanks for watching!
That J Henry 2022 LE is definitely worth the pick up. I couldn't see the price but I think MSRP is around 110
You're the second person to say that. I might have to pick one up!
You guys gotta get the nassif rum. Its so good
Have you had the Peerless whiskey line, your thoughts ? Cheers...

That 1792 FP!!!
We're lucky with that one in MN. Sounds like a lot of other places don't get it. Thanks for watching!
Those Wyoming whiskeys outryder and finished are both killer
I've had a couple Wyomings and liked both.
How much was the Joseph Magnuson cigar blind ??
I think it was 200.

Nice. I go down the fairly often. Can you send me some stores? I'd love to check them out and do some videos next time I'm in the area.
Not sure of the price of the Bulleit Barrel strength there. I paid 50 bucks. Well worth it.
They typically run about 55 here.
Buy one! Great selection at that store.
Is it me or the bourbon market getting a bit saturated?
Maybe with some of the newer brands.
If you like the stranahans, let me know.
The review comes out on Monday. Spoiler alert...we loved it!
Do I sense a Doc Swinson’s vibe here- you point out like a dozen of them..😅
It's good stuff! And they had a bunch of them!
blue label J Henry deffinetly not worth 99 tacos!!
JW Dant is good
Definitely underrated!
Had Wathens SB.. it’s ok but not worth $59
Picked up a bottle of small batch Garrison and it was HORRIBLE!!!! Smells and taste like plastic!!!
Yeah, they're terrible and over priced!
I love the generic music youtube provides. How do I get a gig playing these BS riffs? I could teabag my guitar and make it sound better.
You should hear the ones that didn't make the cut 🤣
