Stephen Lawrence younger brother was my teacher in secondary school, when he spoke of his older brother tragic murder there was this sadness in his eyes. May he rest in paradise and May this never happen again 💜

There was a case not long ago about a banker who the metro police were after him for literally doing nothing. They had the man for terrorism money laundering and all based on someone who reported him making the police file a case on him from thin air.

Not alot being said about the direct targeting of the Lawrence family by the met police. A constant level of surveillance on the family members to build a case to discredit them. My family know the Lawrences and they been through some absolute bullshit at the hand of the met police.
The lawrence’s were infamous before they were famous. Stephen was a tragic tragic loss.

My two parents held Stephen as he bled out in the street.
They tell me that the police who later interviewed them were extremely rude, disrespectful and discredited their eyewitness accounts, even as they were supposed to be taking notes.
My mum and dad spoke to Stephen in his last moments.

The way the police acted as aiding and abetting, some of them should be charged.
That's what it's a "system" problem. Not about the individual. I'm sure I would commit some sordid crimes if I knew I would get away with it, the system is protecting the perpetrators not the victims and the family they left behind.

I 100% know if ten men rolled up on all five of these men after this attack and either stabbed or beat to death half of em, the attackers would be instantly arrested and prosecuted.

The British still have such deep rooted racism in their society, Rashmi Samant case in one of the recent case where she was hounded online after becoming the President Of Oxford Student Union, not only by students but even the professor who teaches as such a famous institution posted racist and defamatory posts on Facebook, the professor also didn't spare her parents, her religious beliefs while making such a post on Facebook. Racism looks to be in all institutions in UK.
Yup, heard of this Rashmi Samant case because it gained a lot of traction within India. Interestingly enough, not a single mainstream UK news outlet picked the story up (for rather obvious reasons that will become apparent) though many independents did. Exceptionally bright foreign student won a place at Oxford for her work and study on climate change at Manipal Institute of Technology in India, and in two years won an overwhelming majority of the vote to become the President of the Oxford Student Union.
She was then forced to resign two days after becoming President by relentless cyberbullying by racist and Hinduphobic students online. Unironically, they claimed to be offended and on the side of 'social justice' by trawling through years of her social media presence and taking comments she made out of context, or 'in jokes' between her and her friends from when she had a much smaller online presence. Not even her parents were spared the abuse, and were even doxxed by a member of Oxford's faculty.
This is why mainstream outlets in the UK has refused to cover the story, while India, Indian MEPs and ambassadors have been going hard on the UK government to act. Who do they side with? Students claiming to be proponents of "social justice" making racially charged and phobic attacks online? Or the young Hindu woman, 1st generation immigrant and a first for the Oxford Student Union being attacked online and who has been pressured to resign merely two days after? Not one of them wants to invoke the wrath of these warriors or further defame a minority woman and invoke the wrath of India. And not one of them had the balls to cover the story removed from politics, in a strictly moderate way, because objective fact-based journalism doesn't exist in the UK. Tabloid hysteria sells headlines and brings in clicks.
Personally, I find the University of Oxford's doubling down and the media's hear no evil/see no evil, ignorance is bliss stance to be absolutely appalling.

How strange that this tide of racism has not provoked a reaction. In normal times, an action provokes a counter-reaction - true for physics and generally true of individual actions of people.
Do you have any ideas about why this is not the case in Britain's overwhelming racism and could you tell me of any other exceptions in history?
The Marxist historian, Eric Hobsbawm said there's always a reaction. When one side 'gets its history wrong' this provokes another side to get its history wrong too!

What if I went and did the same to them? I was barely old enough to understand anything at the time it happened and I'm 30 now. I remember the name being brought up in middle school, at least 15-20 years ago. I thought it was sad then because AN INNOCENT PERSON died. I didn't see that the colour was a problem. I was a dumb preteen though.

Nah I think it's because people who live in the UK only ever see racism on programs like this, none of us experience it on a day to day basis like the media make out. People with common sense tend to believe what they see with their own eyes in their own towns and not what the mainstream regurgitates. Have a look at South Africa at the minute if you want to see real racism. I know a few that have had family members killed over there. How many people do you know in this country personally that have had family members murdered because of race?

I am saying that in the absence of contrary evidence his actions were that of a private citizen unless his position as a cop was directly used in the commission of the crime. I have no sympathy for him in either capacity and I disdain cops who don't behave themselves 24/7.

Try and give a little context at least. He was running into an underground station about to board a train whilst wearing a backpack. This was a day or two after multiple bombs had been detonated by people wearing backpacks on trains and buses. The whole country was on high alert after the attacks and it is kind of understandable that nervousness, tension and stress can lead to mistakes when split second decisions have to be made which could potentially save many lives.

My parents who are both surgeons moved us from Kurdistan in Iraq to the UK when I was 13 years old. Unlike my two sisters who were kindergarten age, I'd moved to the UK at an age where I had knowledge of my identity, culture, history of Iraq, and had also grown up in an education system that required us to learn Arabic. But despite us Kurds being oppressed and having fought against British and American puppets for over a century, I became a pariah in the secondary school I was enlisted. The year was 1996 and back then, I was pretty much the only foreign kid in my entire year. The school was in the heart of Kent, only contained a couple of black kids, one Turkish kid who was born and bred in the UK and 1-2 kids who were 2nd / 3rd generation from the subcontinent. It didn't take me long to pick up English, but that only made things worse. Looking back, I know the racism was taught to the kids by their parents. They'd gone home, told the parents that a kid from Iraq was in their school and well, so started a year and a half of absolute torment. I somehow felt that these people must represent British society because there really wasn't one kid who didn't join in with the racism. Be it the colour of my skin, where I'd come from, what I brought with me for lunch: everything would be picked on. Many a time during school PE, I would be jumped on by 5-6 kids when playing rugby. They'd kick, punch, hurl abuse and just act in the most hooligan and backward manner imaginable. Not one teacher ever stood up and tried to stop it. I used to tell my parents, but having grown up in Iraq with kids of Arab, Turkmen, Christian and Kurdish backgrounds, they refused to believe what I was telling them. I was a pretty easy-going kid, but that experience really made me develop a temper, and also a sense of distrust even in people who are supposed to protect and help you. Just short of 2 years, both of my parents were offered medical research jobs in Italy and we quickly moved. It saved my teenage years. I went to the UK as an innocent kid and left knowing what racism was and is.

What role did the monarchy play in this? Did they speak out against this injustice? They may not be able to arrest people, but they should be able to take a stance against racism and systemic racism. Do they even serve a purpose?

I was born outside of the UK and have lived for 59 years only eight of those I have resided here in the UK. In all my years on this earth Iv'e only been called a racial epitaph twice both times happened in the UK. So I dare someone to tell me that this country is not racist.

This was so powerful! I am glad and sad. I am glad because Mrs. Lawrence received some justice for her son. She also fought for other victims and their families to receive justice. But I am sad because not all the men who killed her son Stephen Lawrence were arrested and convicted and sent to jail. Mrs. Lawrence's fight for justice for her son reformed the law(s)in England.

Feelings of superiority are directly related to conquering and dominating others. It is part of the human condition. It is to the present time and future generations, to - with this hindsight, changing demographics and perceptions of the world - dismantle the remnants of history. At the least this will create a level playing ground for all citizens and hopefully in time also change more minds, eradicating as much racist beliefs as possible. Humanity must grow to survive...

Is your view "better" based upon objective findings, or approved virtue signalling?
You're aware are you not, that even babies and young _toddlers,_ demonstrate an instinctive preference toward those who look like their parents (ie skin colour)?
Are *they* to be next in line for criticism as well?
What about natives in their own homelands who reject immigration based upon the incompatibility of cultural (and sometimes environmental) attributes?
What about overseas travellers who tend to gravitate toward those of their own ethnic persuasion?
It's effortlessly simple to relate to someone [that your subconscious expectations of] match up to what you imagine you will feel comfortable with.
The word "racist" (perhaps unwittingly by your own definition) is therefore nonsense, because you can't be against your own _race_ (the *human* race), but you CAN tend to subconsciously gravitate toward those you rely on something to be able to feel comfortable with.
It seems quite an inescapable conclusion, to suggest that EVERYONE in life who ever developed a bond [with someone of the same skin colour and trusted them to be able to sustain themselves], will tend to prefer being around people who look the same as them.
As for white "supremacy", defending the relevance of one's own identity (or in this case, _group_ identity), can be used to portray them negatively, particularly if there [happens to be, or is set up to be] a "disadvantaged" minority individual in the picture.
It can be made to appear as if "5 against 1" is happening, based on (what is represented as) skin colour.
As for the Stephen Lawrence case, A LOT of unanswered questions - particularly surrounding the recently "discovered" woman's handbag strap at the scene that was apparently "lost" in evidence for over twenty years.
That - along with the simultaneous suggestion, that five young men, began *frantically* pursuing one man at the EXACT same instant in time, where part of an unidentified woman's handbag was "found" - without a word being spoken?!?
It appears to smack of agenda - an agenda to promote (what can almost certainly only ever be) a false cohesiveness between different ethnic groups in the same place, consequently leading to identity displacement, based upon my earlier remarks about babies and toddlers.

I really don't like taking the most extreme cases and using them to represent the whole nation this way. This case is well known because people were absolutely disgusted by it, if we were all racist then nobody would care.

This is just embarrassing. I feel ashamed. It’s like spitting in the face of the victims and their families. These horrible men were still out there and probably abusing other people as well. It’s disgusting. I hope the killers see his face everyday when they go to bed and their souls get tortured everyday.
