Do you do podcasts? I would like to listen podcast about Helldivers recent update, comparison to space marine and discussion about Startrooper game. Idc, you both guys so chill to listen.
I would LOVE to see them add in a feature to our mechs that allows us to eject and turns the mech into a timed bomb as soon as we hit eject or leave the mech. Lower CD would be nice too. The few times ive used it, I still had tons of ammo left but no health so I just set it up and use it to blockade a narrow path that enemies are coming from. Oh another thing, give us a 2 man mech, driver nothing changes, but teammate can sit up top and use a mounted gun of some sort. Something like the bot striders
That sounds like an idea for an entirely new vehicle design, which they have a few in the works that have been leaked multiple times now. Also... I always run out of ammo in the mech or die randomly to something stupid (either me being stupid or the game saying "no"). I guess... I do tend to only deploy it on defense missions or on long objectives or large bases.
@@plzletmebefrank at least let us be able to maybe "repair" it once and use supplies to refill. i aint saying break em to OP status. of all things i think its durability is prolly one of the biggest issues. had games where i would call in mech, and literally before i could get in. its dead
@@kkangpae346 I suppose some of that is fair, they are fairly powerful though, I feel like the best solution without significantly shifting the balance of the game would be... A new booster buffing vehicles. Probably upping durability and maybe speed or ammo. Which would help freshen up the booster pool. Either that or adding in personal boosters/perks in a future content update and having a driver perk. Though upping durability or changing how some of the mech health mechanics work is also a fair option. Btw, the legs have a mechanic that when they break they redirect all damage to the main health pool, and the legs have weaker armor than the body. Which you also take damage when breaking terrain and objects. So it might help to avoid obstacles more if you weren't aware.
I mean... They were doing some pretty significant crunch. They were pushing out patches pretty fast, Sony put pressure on them to release a warbond every month, and... From everything I heard their internal structure sucked. And I believe it. I doubt they had proper QA before. I don't see how they could've possibly with the changes they were making.
One thing that I always hate to see if those hard-core players or streamers, they constantly demand games are not hard enough and it’s kind of one of those situations were not. Everybody has 12 hours a day to devote to gaming so you watch other games and I guess one close to me Would be DayZ it feels like it just keeps going more and more hard-core with every update and fewer and fewer people play the game and or are even willing to buy the game. I think that’s a big thing that is hurting modern games when you see comments on big stream videos, but more often than not. I feel like that is a small percentage of the population that actually wants to play. Don’t get me wrong. I do believe that adding more difficulty would be good for those people, but don’t ruin it for everybody that can’t devote their life to that game, it seems like they did a really good job with this update to me
@@redfish6549 some of us are beginning, me for example only level 20 after tonight, but i dont wanna play matches with minuscule amount of objectives, and enemies to shoot. I personally enjoy what the update did, and like current way it feels, just dont get folks that say its to easy, and dont like the buffs after complaining about past nerfs. I dont see issue with better guns that you dont have to use all of your mags during strat cooldown. Its nice to run around in intense moments and challenge yourself, and the ability to use multiple loadouts pending play style. Why not add higher difficulty for those that want that, with more spongey bots, that take more strategic approach? Makes no sense why more difficulty levels seems less reasonable, just to have folks play at slower levels so the can nerf guns. Everyone quits when they nerf, so they buff, and people say its to easy, but dont want more difficulty options…? And issues arise when people just want more and more baseline difficulty, to point nobody new buys/ plays. Thats how you kill a game, make it only playable to top percent players, nobody plays, game dies.
@@tatehenson3611 U just started so of course you wont get why people would think the game is easy. LIke most enemies in the game goes down in a couple of bullets if you know where to shoot. You can only add so much enemies on the screen at once before the game just stop working, so just adding difficulties cant be a solution forever. And with this community, i wouldnt be surprise if when diff 15 comes out, people would complain about that too instead of improving.
I play often on difficulty 7 and was diving yesterday to try out the buffs, I even started changing my weapons more often rather than sticking with just one setup per faction. Whilst finishing up a mission the people I was diving with turned around and said it was too easy, seconds after saying that three Chargers appeared and started dropping us. Dude jinxed us as we also got swarmed at evac
Ive ben playing consistently through every nerf we got and let me tell you that July Nerf really upset me and many of my friends and a couple just didnt want to play period but a few of us stuck it out and still managed to have fun through it all. But this update made us cheer and have an absolute blast. I started using the Thermite grenade which i Haven't done since its initial release because i found it bad. But now it's working as originally advertised and kills chargers and then some. Bot only that Flame weapons are back and man did it feel exactly like pre nerf and then some. All i wish is that these buffs stay because the game feels like it should and now they just need to work on new mission types and the Illuminate. Because heres the thing many people left because of a lack of new content not necessarily the nerfs so Arrowhead still has their work cut out for them. But this update is a step in the right direction and i am here for them and SYPER EARTH!
Only gripe I have is the body damage. It feels like any time I get hit with anything below heavy armor I have to stim. I think it would be perfect if they just numb it back a little or give was an armor buff. That being said, I am so happy to be back.
I think the devs did something to the enemy AI’s in the update because they feel way smarter and way more aggressive in this update. I played bugs on my first mission and I was getting snuck up on so frequently by regular ass cannon fodder bugs only to be completely torn apart once I realized how many of them there actually were. The bugs feel much smarter and it punishes players who don’t pay attention to their surroundings.
The fact you can kill a charger with one thermite grenade is just so fucking amazing ! Didnt touch the spear once today and was able to use my Machine Gun
why does nobody ever talk about the cars? two whole leaked vehicles and no word on them for months. i assumed they got put on the backburner in favor of bug fixes but some people seem to think they’ve been scrapped entirely. they would save a ton of time going back for dropped samples lol
The “tOo EaSy” crowd seem to forget that HD1 had 15 (maybe more, I can never remember if they added more) difficulties and that everything past 10 was absolutely gruelling.
I kept popping in waiting for them to finally get themselves together and straighten things out. I was just gone when the ragdolling got extremely bad on both fronts. And now I'm back. I think for a good long while now.
I just hope they don't fall back into old habits. Because if they were to redo nerfs in about a month's time I think it was completely kill the game. People are having fun they need to let us continue having fun.
One thing i wish they would buff is the quasar cannon. I miss having my halo spartan laser-ish weapon shred the big enemies. Now that the other strategems are buffed, perhaps we can ask for the old pre-nerf quasar 🤞
I like to play Helldive and Super Helldive as a solo player and I’ve found my character to be a lot more squishy which is weird. I haven’t played for a while so it might be a skill issue as I need to get good again but it was an interesting feeling.
Its amazing again!! Its not crazy frustrating and i get that chaotic experience where we're all accidentaly killing each other! Im trying weapons that i only used once before bacause theyre so much better now and actually viable.
Just an FYI - the devs mentioned that they balanced out the nerf to headshot damage by increasing all other forms of damage, so that might be why it feels like the damage taken has increased a bit.
I feel like the next patch will see Diff10 get adjusted so the more competitive players will still have a place to see that challenge they feel is gone now. And that's absolutely fine. Even though I'm alot squishier now, everything else is too, so the moment to moment gameplay is alot more fun and bombastic. Even a fresh-faced lv1 Diver has a fantastic toolkit now!
Because of Space Marines 2 and nerfed thing, these makes the golden cross. I never leaved. I will stay until the last diver is available. So thanks to Space Marines 2, because of you, almost everything was buffed (except commando wth).
The game is a blast now, so it's great 😊 now they just need to tweak the damage taken to Helldivers (lower it a bit), and not make Automatons one shot you. 😄
Nope, that was the trade off. They made enemies more aggressive and you you don't take as much headshot damage. Wear heavier armor and take different boosters if it's that big a deal.
@@ShotGunner5609They still shouldn't one shot you. Not unless you make an active choice to be incredibly vulnerable. That's bad game design. That said... I haven't noticed being one shot since this update. Before? Absolutely. Loads. Now? No...
Next is add more supercredit on higher difficulty so you don't have to do trivial. Add more random support and primary around the map so that new players can experience some weapon they might bot have yet
i usually play Suicide or Impossible difficulty -- it's currently just right -- considering the buffs, still not too easy, challenging but fun! love this new update!
Wished they change the purifier making it a tripple burst per charge might make it work better. Also they should bring back the fire shotgun to 6 mage again
When you make the casual player feel like a demi-god with the very limited time they have, then they will return and enjoy your product. I might just come back on the next patch if they keep making the players feel like bug-gut drenched, robot shrapnel scarred gods!
dif 10 with a friend group is easy on bugs, fun, but easy enough dif 10 with pugs can be a wild ride it is a coordination issue for when things get really hard
Ive been playing since the game came out. I played less because they nerfed the hell out of it. Now with this new update! I see a lot more players playing. Feels 😌 so good that the community is back to is glory!
I love that so many more weapon/strategem combos are good now. There's still some weapons that need more work, but this patch has been a huge step in the right direction. I did have a rough time with the Arc Thrower yesterday. Between the charge-up and the constant click-hold-release-click-hold-release, I found it just wasn't as good as the Blitzer. It's sad to me that a really cool-looking support weapon is so useless. I spent two missions trying to get results, but just couldn't pull it off.
Thinking of buying this game now . I was going to buy it for pc a while ago but the whole “nerfdivers” thing was trending so I held off but it’s on sale on steam rn so I’m thinking of buying.
3 divers on lvl 6 earlier and all was good till we got 1 nest left and then all of the sudden it was breach after breach after breach, many elites titans included and a literal sea of hunters and spewers. Had an extra 11 respawns before the shitshow and we used them all. I know they have about 25 days left in that 60 day pledge to bring everything in line with where they want it to be, but it honestly felt like they ramped spawns because the community made them buff everything. It was reminscent of the unpopular patrol increase update back in like june or july that they then reverted. This is 100% speculation and maybe it was just a 1 off unwinnable match but nothing takes the wind out of your sails more than just going up against a seemingly impenetrable wall of bugs right at the end. Like if your gonna make me loose (again 100% speculation) can you make me loose earlier on so i dont waste more time than needed. Also this makes it sound like im still not satisfied with game but i am for the most part and yes im bad at the game and havent played for a month so that also had something to do with it im sure but dam that sea of bugs was incredibly annoying.
I do hope they adjust the gas. And give it a buff, either damage or duration or both. The blinding and confusing aspect isn't really great at higher levels. You're basically just pissing things off.
Yes the bugs are definitely stronger I’m not going crazy. I thought I was the only one feeling the heat. Definitely more killable which is nice but you gotta be on your toes for sure.
While the buffs are nice, I feel like the main issue I have with the game is still there, that being there is simply not enough content. I've had max reqs and samples for months now, and there is simply nothing to spend medals on. Its really disheartening when one of the motivating factors to do objectives and side objectives and such is to get more of currencies that I'm maxed out on and have nothing to spend it on. Especially since the warbonds have been coming out at a slower and slower rate and with less and less content.
@@Catbeans99all the enemys still pretty much do half your health every hit. Plus with the napalm having such a huge radius i see deaths pretty regulary on diff 8+
@@user45563 No, it’s much easier. And you claim it’s more fun, but we will see what the next crydiver complaint will be in the next week or two. Not enough buffs, the game is still too hard? What if they planned all the nerfs so that way instead of coming up with new content over the summer vacation All they had to do is buff the weapons to where they were and it makes everyone happy again.

Do you do podcasts? I would like to listen podcast about Helldivers recent update, comparison to space marine and discussion about Startrooper game. Idc, you both guys so chill to listen.
Been waiting for this review!!! lol love yall.
For the first time since release I felt like I could take any weapon, armor or stratagem into a dive
The sad thing is there was absolutely no reason for the shit to happen in the first place.
I do believe that adding more difficulty would be good for those people, but don’t ruin it for everybody that can’t devote their life to that game, it seems like they did a really good job with this update to me
Then play lower diff like 6-7 if you not that good yet or don't have time to practice.
It was (and still is) 15. I just picked it up myself. It's on sale for 5 bucks.
Shoutout to the ones that stuck it out despite the nerfs
I kept popping in waiting for them to finally get themselves together and straighten things out. I was just gone when the ragdolling got extremely bad on both fronts. And now I'm back. I think for a good long while now.
I still have a blast playing HD. Glad to see we are going the right direction
Helldivers is a dead game space marines is out!!!
Arrowhead: i didn't hear no bell
I just pictured Randy Marsh say "I didn't hear no bell", and I'm LOLing now. 😆
The thermite is so good now!
I also love the update. Great to see people are coming back
Its amazing again!!
Yeah, less random, more consistent, and more injuries.
Yep. Critters are definitely more aggressive.
It's great!
Just bought it earlier. Once I get a chance I'm binge-playing it. Wanted to play it since it came out but I had a Xbox so I couldn't.
@@ShotGunner5609agree
@@ShotGunner5609They still shouldn't one shot you. Not unless you make an active choice to be incredibly vulnerable. That's bad game design.
That said... I haven't noticed being one shot since this update. Before? Absolutely. Loads. Now? No...
Great update just hope they fix matchmaking, something is bugged since it takes so long to find quickmatch lobbies
So much fun 🤩
Biggest comeback of the century
dif 10 with a friend group is easy on bugs, fun, but easy enough
dif 10 with pugs can be a wild ride
it is a coordination issue for when things get really hard
Pugs can be a handful.
Ive been playing since the game came out. I played less because they nerfed the hell out of it. Now with this new update! I see a lot more players playing. Feels 😌 so good that the community is back to is glory!
Played an eradicate mission and noticed spawns are way too slow. Didn't hit 100% until emergency evac came in. Anyone else experienced this?
I love that so many more weapon/strategem combos are good now. There's still some weapons that need more work, but this patch has been a huge step in the right direction.
I did have a rough time with the Arc Thrower yesterday. Between the charge-up and the constant click-hold-release-click-hold-release, I found it just wasn't as good as the Blitzer. It's sad to me that a really cool-looking support weapon is so useless. I spent two missions trying to get results, but just couldn't pull it off.
not useless. give it another try.
I would have to agree, not useless at all; just sounds like it isn't to your liking, the way it operates
Thinking of buying this game now . I was going to buy it for pc a while ago but the whole “nerfdivers” thing was trending so I held off but it’s on sale on steam rn so I’m thinking of buying.
Loving this update !!
I only play on level 10 and it definitely felt different. I was getting fucking swarmed yesterday 🤣🤣🤣.
I love it but the assualt rifles need more ammo in the clip. Sub machine guns too
3 divers on lvl 6 earlier and all was good till we got 1 nest left and then all of the sudden it was breach after breach after breach, many elites titans included and a literal sea of hunters and spewers.
I play on 9 and 10 constantly. The game has gotten easier but I don’t mind as long as the community as a whole enjoy it.
i totally agree the game feels perfect and just right at this point
Hope we get more modules soon
I do hope they adjust the gas. And give it a buff, either damage or duration or both. The blinding and confusing aspect isn't really great at higher levels. You're basically just pissing things off.
Imagine if it caused infighting
I hope everyone learns a lesson. Don’t fuck with balance at the expense of sucking the fun out of a game.
Never stopped playing.
Yessss boiiiss reinforcements have finally arrived 🎉
I play level ten every time and I really enjoy this new level ten it's still hard
I get to be a walking nuke and thats all i ever wanted from helldivers. I want big enemies and even bigger explosions.
Next up is hopefully a new enemy type!
they fixed the glitch that made it so u died when you touched any dead corpse of a heavy. that drove me away.
10/10 update pure destruction!
I have 700 hrs in game. This is the funnest it's ever been.
I never stopped playing. But the update is great because now there are a lot more viable choices.
Everything is viable when nothing is a threat
@@Catbeans99all the enemys still pretty much do half your health every hit. Plus with the napalm having such a huge radius i see deaths pretty regulary on diff 8+
@@user45563 Can’t be damaged if everything dies from sneezing in their direction.
@@Catbeans99 also cant be damaged if your training 50 bugs from obj to obj. Game got more fun not easier
@@user45563 No, it’s much easier. And you claim it’s more fun, but we will see what the next crydiver complaint will be in the next week or two.
Not enough buffs, the game is still too hard?
Need more to work for?
Missions are boring (probably because it’s too easy)
Then all of these things get addressed yet the player base dwindles and in a week you cry again.
What if they planned all the nerfs so that way instead of coming up with new content over the summer vacation All they had to do is buff the weapons to where they were and it makes everyone happy again.
I really like your review. It's exactly how I feel about this update. We have our beloved game back on the scene.
I really want to see them succeed with their vision of what is to create a genuine video game. LONG VIVE HELLDIVERS and "democratie"😉
I think they’re is a increase in enemies cause one game I did I came out with 655 kills and my team mates had 300-500 kills.
