Important context: his boot sole was coming off on this run, that’s why he was tracking with an odd cadence
Damn he was cruising never lost pace kept the same speed even running towards the winger coming in. Would love to see him and Ioane go at it
he slower than Kolbe Ioane and Teddy Thomas (who's faster than Ioane by far)
@@tm.8399 Lol not a chance. This bloke is faster than all of them
@@TheShepdawg9 look the games someday
@@tm.8399 Kolbe nowhere near. Thomas pretty average, only caught Reiko as he was tying up.
All a moot point anyway. England have a three or four guys clocking speeds faster than Reiko AND LRZ.
Reiko is definitely quicker now than he was 3-4 years ago
Rees-Zammit, quality new Welsh talent!
Damn those two chasing him are fast! Louis running diagonally makes it very difficult to catch up but they did at the end
Difference is Louis has more gears but the players chasing him are giving everything they've got...
His boot was falling apart
Welcome to the Chiefs
Ball in hand running on the angle and on grass to the try 10.91 seconds thats pretty darn quick.
He's about to enter a whole new world in the NFL. As much as is made of his straight line speed (he's very quick indeed), he is in the middle of the pack of those at his American football position. In other exercises designed to measure athletic explosiveness (vertical leap, standing broad jump, 10 yard shuttle) he's actually on the tail end of acceptability.
On the plus side, he seems to have picked up the intricacies of the game very well. He runs good, crisp routes. He appears to have very good hands. And he cuts/steps on the dead run exceptionally well. He also has very good size for his position - although he will likely need to bulk up if he intends to play running back at all. Most players at that position are more compact and densely built.
The good news, he's been signed by the Kansas City Chiefs. For you Brits who may not be aware, their coach, Andy Reid, is known for creative, innovative, and unorthodox play design. I'm sure that a player with LRZ's athleticism and rugby skills (many of which are allowed but rarely used in American football) would have Reid's mind racing with all sorts of crazy things for which opposing teams would have no answer.
I wish him the best of luck. I support the Chiefs. But please temper expectations. The last successful rugby player to transition to NFL was Jordan Mailata. He took a couple years to find his stride. And he had a tremendous advantage. Not to get too technical, but if it were possible to build a player of Mailata's position in a laboratory, he would be the precise result. LRZ looks like more of a hybrid athlete.
The dude ran faster than Tyreke hill ever has. Granted it’s without a helmet and pads but still faster than
Kentgrady, you're a brainwashed liar. The average 40 for NFL wrs, rbs and cbs is 4.8 4.9. REES has 4.45 40 and his top end game speed has been clocked faster than Tyreek Hill.
There are others in rugby and Austin rules football that are even faster than REES.
THE athletes in rugby are elite and even tougher than today's NFL players, man per man.
REES is towards the head of the athleticism Hill and definitely not the tail end !!
He will be used at numerous positions and DO NOT FORGET, REES IS 6-3 210 with excellent short space quickness too.
He may or may not make it in the NFL but if he doesn't, it will not be because of a lack of athleticism !!
If anything, it will be overcoming the anti-white racists that are all over the league. REES will not walk alone though.
@@landonjarrett1800without a helmet and pads is a big deal tho. I just saw a video of this guy running a 4.44 40 which is fast but nowhere near top speed for NFL guys
As a rugby fan, I just bought a Kansas City Shirt to show some support for LRZ. I look forward to watching one of your American Football games just to see how he fares. I'm not even a Welsh fan, but I wish LRZ all the best 🙌
He's middle of the pack in the 40 yard dash but he's recorded speeds faster than Tyreek and DK Metcalfe (admittedly without pads). He will take contact well because of Rugby, and when he's clear he's rapid, he has potential.
That was BLITZZZZZZZZ🏃♂️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He slowed down with 15 metres to go as well 🤯
Now off to the NFL
Chiefs!
Good effort chaser. Dam fast though!
He just signed to the chiefs😮
So I'm an American football fan in Washington State. Never heard of this guy but he's apparently trying to make it to the NFL. In the NFL we use the 40-yard dash as the barometer for speed. A 4.4 second time is elite, anything faster than that is insanity. I tried to convert the 100 m time of this guy, to a 40yard dash and his would be like less than 4 seconds which has literally never been done in the NFL. I don't think I did the conversion right but the point with this guy is..... He's really fucking fast 😂😂😂
yeah the conversion is wrong…he’d run a 4.4s 40 yard dash
Definitely wrong given bolt was assumed to be sub 4.2 - I mean you can check Tyreek hill has a sub 10 sec 100m and his 40 was not sub 4, plus other track runners who played in the nfl have not beaten 4 secs. I would put LRZ low 4.4.
He ran 4.5 and then 4.44 a few days ago at the combine. He finished tied for 15th place amongst college kids playing wide receivers. Usain bolt ran a 4.22 when he did a fun 40 yard dash a few years ago. The record was set this year at the combine, Xavier Worthy ran 4.21.
@@user-nk9cw5md8lChristian Coleman, who is arguably the greatest starter in sprinting history, has ran a 4.12 40 NFL combine style. Bolt’s 4.22 was staged and fake because he didn’t even have cleats on.
For some time usian bolt had competition .That was quick.
Bolt would put a second on him in an actual 100m race.
Welcome to the chiefs
Siempre la banderita!!!
Going to be easy playing for the Chiefs 🤩
I went to that match (not lying )
Let’s appreciate Crossdale making up ground on him shall we instead 👏👏
Glooooooouuuuuuuce…. stteeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Who was the guy that tackled him atbthe end😮😮😮😮he has a lot of pace. Catching up on a guy thats running diagonally!!
Ali crossdale
Who's the defender
That one defender was faster
Only because his LRZ's boot was coming off!
@@fraserfresher And when did he tell you that?
@@jameswyatt4443...eh, it was in the highlights on TV.
@@fraserfresher LRZ boot?
@@SHORTS_N_SHIRTS Louis Rees-Zammit aka LRZ.
He’d gas the fox in the nrl
we may now see this! he's just left rugby to play in the NFL
Welcome to the chiefs underrated pickup
Jesse Kriel ended this guy's career😂
You mean the guy who chased him hell yea he was like a rocket to catch him
Did that 9 track him down???
Forward pass
Chiefs
Any armchair NFL experts should have their doubts silenced after watching this!
He has run to the nfl
And his boot was also falling off mid run
Great talent wasting time with that Mickey Mouse American game 😂 Hope he sees sense soon!!
Hi 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Oh no he’s definitely not fast is DK Metcalf or Tyreek Hill not even close
Can anyone catch him? Well given his direction the touchline was calmly waiting for him to fall over it
Cry😂
He's far to good for Wales!!
naa
Some people chat mad rice these days
@@machinegunnasty1124mad rice?
Got wheels for a white boii.🏎️💨
He's not that fast
He looks fast playing with and against a bunch of white guys. 😂
Ummm looks fast, but ahh in the NFL he won’t be chased by white guys.
