Montevideo is quaint, nostalgic and melancholic. It is not for everyone. It could a bit depressing in the winter. Parts of the city are dilapidated. But, for me, it is uniquely charming. So I do visit Montevideo once a year because it is therapeutic. The cost of living is probably the highest in all of Latin America tho. I hope to save enough to retire there some day.

The city has a lot potential, too bad most buildings and public spaces are covered with Grafitis and lack maintenance.. it gives the impression vandalism is everywhere.
Exactly. Montevideo is basically a nice town but terribly run - dirty, poorly maintained sidewalks, and people have no education, ugly graffiti and tags everywhere. Well done graffiti can be attractive, adding a touch of colour, but there is a place for everything. Y aguante el Bolso! 💙🤍❤

Uruguay está muy lejos de ser la suiza de América aunque toda la parte sur de Montevideo es hermosa bastante segura y turística..después está la otra parte de Montevideo más al norte en dónde el narcotráfico y la disputa por el territorio entre bandas los homicidios y algunos robos esta a la orden del día que es la otra ciudad que es en el norte de Montevideo..es un país sudamericano que tiene sus bellezas y tiene sus defectos..conozco mucho buenos aires y quede enamorado y ahora voy a conocer Santiago de chile por qué se casa mi hermano que emigró hace años y me hablaron muy bien de la capital chilena que no conozco..disfruten del recorrido saludos🖐️🇺🇾
1- Lo del agua ya se soluciono hace varios dias y se levanto la emergencia,tuvimos casi una semana de buenas lluvias 2- No vengas si no tenes estudios,es un pais bastante tranquilo comparado al resto de latinoamerica,pero muy caro

A shame for such a small country that they have cities like Havana in the 21st century. It is cultural, an interesting figure is that apparently they are doing well but its inhabitants are leaving, new immigrants are not arriving and it is among the countries with the least tourism on the continent.
A sad Uruguayan society without identity and with basic tourism and without ideas to exploit. That's what you see when you step into that little unknown country.

Montevideo, con mucho menos habitantes, es una ciudad sucia, sus edificios llenos de graffitis y la infraestructura tiene la menos 30 años de retraso. Viaja a BA y no nos hagas pasar vergüenza en el foro, con tanta soberbia injustificada. Como montevideano, me llena de tristeza y vergüenza el estado de mi capital.
