So, it's not available on the NHS in the UK?
I'm a Brit living in Japan where the lens replacement is covered by Health Insurance (think NHS) and the way the system works here is that you pay a contribution of 30% if you're under 70, 20% aged 70 to 75 and 10% if you're 75 or over which I am. I had one eye done earlier this week and it cost me 13,000 Yen (about 78 pounds) and the other eye is being done on Monday and will cost only about 50 pounds (for some strange reason to do with having them both done in the same month). Very pleased with the results so far and am looking forward to having two good eyes next week.

@@KhaledKhaled-fo9zb Nothing special, standard lens apparently. Since then, due to major floaters, I have had the fluid in my right eye replaced. The results are outstanding. like turning the clock back 50 years. I no longer need glasses except for reading very small print.
