20:48 for the lineups :)
cheers
Jesus christ thanks I love these guys but 20 mins is too much
Thanks. Too much waffly crap that no one cares about
You are a saint
God bless you
What’s good about this squad is that we have so many good penalty takers in the team.
The abuse after the missed penalties the last time was disgusting. They’re not fans, they’re scumbags
No one abused them, it was bots.
No players should be abused, it’s football at the end of the day. That being said the players that completely missed the target deserve criticism and they did in fact let their country down. There’s no excuse not to hit the target when you’re a professional footballer taking a penalty. If the keeper saves it then fair game.
here we go lads, been waiting for the euros content to start!
Earlier Southgate said "Foden can't play centrally because he doesn't play there for City". He's just won footballer of the year mainly playing centrally.
Southgate is the reason we don't win tournaments.
Did u see Foden in the Iceland game?
Played centrally...absolutely awful.
Southgate is not the reason we don’t win we are simply not good enough and never have been
@@randyschwaggins
And don't forget the game against North Macedonia when Foden also played in 10 role and guess what super duper awful
Agree. Manager is so terrible
foden could not lace JB boots in the number 10.
I'd play Gomez over Tripp anyday at LB, Gomez was rocksolid for Liverpool at LB this season when Robbo was injured and I'd play TAA next to Rice and Bellingham further forward, you can't under estimate TAA passing ability.
Yea Gomez was one of the best LB this season both going forward and defending.
19:28 if you want to skip all the waffle at the start
You are a legend
Half expected Kevin bloody Bacon to pipe up at one point.
wait until we go out on penalties because someone does the Beckham slip.. Footloose cut loose lol
Mmm ... bloody bacon.
Lmao 😂
Funny enough the only player like beckham we have, Trent, wasnt put
@@kudakwashechikosi8046 cheers Geoff.
Trent has the number 8 shirt. Don't be surprised to see him next to Rice.
He has to play, Bellingham in front then Saka/Palmer Kane and Gordon.
@@Basman59foden > gordon
He will be Englands most important player in my opinion
@@Basman59 Trent does not have to play
Trent is NOT a midfielder - he was non existent against Bosnia apart from an odd pass - he does not support or link up well with others. He was better when he moved to RB. Yes he does glorious pinged passes - but the game is more than that!
Joe Gomez should 100% be contention for starting at left back. Not saying hes guaranteed a start but its worth considering. He's had a pretty solid season playing every position across the back 4 for Liverpool this season. Tripper would prob still be my choice but worth thinking about.
Definitely worth thinking about, I think he played well there this season but he hasn’t been used there in the two warm up games so it shows where the teams shaping up
I didn't rate him before, but this season he was really solid. I would actually see him starting at left back if trent starts on the right. Having a solid back three of him guehi and stones would give license to trent to invert or even be more advanced.
Hahahahaha wtf are you smoking Gomez is a pub player at best
@JCHolt96 clearly haven't watched ANY liverpool games this season then 😭😭😭😭
I don’t understand this fascination with Walker, where was his pace and defensive brain when he left Mainoo free to tap home in a FINAL?
He was also nowhere to be seen for Icelands goal and he offered nothing going forward either, if that was TAA he’d be crucified!
best 1v1 defender in the world. We're gonna need that against the likes of mbappe
Probably because he had Mbappe in his pocket at the last World Cup.
Mainoo’s cup final goal was Kovacic’s fault - Rodri had gone forward so he should have been sitting in but tried to press Bruno leaving a huge gap.
@@TC10Football England can only play France once you know?
@@astalavista_84So Kovacic is a right back now? Walker looked right at Mainoo in acres of space and didn’t even sprint back he just left him open BACK POST!
@@TC10Footballyeah but we ain't playing against mbappe every game. Walker obviously should be used against France.. but against the rest he is going to be a big reason we don't do well if we don't.. against iceland he slows everything down and wants to go back every opportunity.. his crossing is bang average.. like matey boy said.. if trent was playing against iceland from the start and he was at fault for a goal.. he would of been crucified
Gary is a fine spokesman for England and the game in general.
I love the chemistry between Lineker, Shearer & Richards despite playing for England at 3 diff eras... I was itching for Gary to hold Micah accountable to his funny pronunciation of 'Guehi's name just Micah did him earlier on the name of a German city's name😂😂❤❤
Foden on the left in Qatar... Scored his first major tournament goal vs Wales. Assisted Saka and Kane as well playing in the LEFT vs Senegal.
I think foden will be dropped for Gordon. Southgate is very conservative.
After the Iceland game I haven't got my hopes up!!!
Saudi Arabia beat Argentina in the first game of the World Cup & Spain lost the first game in 2010 to Switzerland. Both of those teams went on to win it, the Iceland game shouldn’t be read in to.
@JG-dg6ty twas a friendly too with Southgate trying players out.
Means nothing really that match
They were just too scared of getting injured to go for it, if it were a tournament match England would've smashed em
@@Jimbobiscuitlike to believe that’s true but we’ve lost t Iceland before. We r a much better team now tho. Let’s hope it doesn’t affect us I think we need a gd first game tho
Excellent video! Many thanks. (And thats the formation and team i would pick too, not that I know much about football).
I haven't noticed a lasting effect of those guys missing the pens compared to that of Southgate and Waddle having their misses following them to this day, I think the sport moves on much quicker and fans forget
Yes, not many people mention Batty, Ince, Carragher, Beckham and Vassel when talking about historic shootout loses.

Get in lads. Bring on the positive vibes!
The Iceland game dampened expectations
It was a bunch of players just going through the motions, getting a leg stretch and doing everything to avoid any silly knocks and picking up an injury. That game has no bearing at all.
@JamesDrum-ne3yd Probably cos Iceland were knackered after England game...

Konsa goes in this team all day long. Been unreal this season and criminally underrated.
Skipped the first 8 minutes or so. Do not want to relive or hear about that Euros final. Still hurts
Also the racist people aren't going to stop by being told about it again so it's kinda just preaching to the choir and asking already normal real fans to not do something they aren't...
@@judechauhan6715Agreed, the culprits should be punished but otherwise ignored. The air-time is the oxygen they feed from. The bigger issue is the racist's being imbedded deeply within the media, as recently evidenced. Ask yourself though, was that an accident?
That final was beautiful , just how could you lose it on your own home ground with 90% (probably even more) of the fans in the stadium ... Football won that day
Germany in Germany with a good team are not a joke
agreed, they have a knack of rebooting and coming back from the wilderness especially after a year of change in the league and progress in europe with lots of new talent, they arent error prone like England
They win stuff even when they are shite
Yeah they're looking very decent with a proper manager.
Not to mention Portugal and France have better starting 11 than England
Germany don't keep going on about getting to a semi final 28 years ago in their own country with 16 teams in it ,total loser attitude and why England will never win anything
Football is all about the moment, a moment of greatness, a moment of despair. Luck plays such a huge part in football. England, like any other team can bottle it at the wrong time, you can prepare all you like, a slip up or a great goal, it all comes down to luck.
About 3 minutes of ads before it begins on Spotify - sort it out lads
with our back four, there is no way it's coming home.
Having lived all over the world it's refreshing to come back to the UK, in terms of race, culture etc. We as a nation are certainly in the top five nations who are the most tolerant and multi-cultural. In terms of racism in football, again, by comparioson it's a relatively low thing that gets highlighted by the media because it sells advertising revune based on the clicks it gets.
The problem in the west, which I often see in this country, is that it is hard for many white people in this country to imagine being racially abused while in another country, such as South Africa or Turkey for example. Things are even worse in some cultures such as India/Pakistan or Japan where there are distinct cultural divides.
If you've travelled the world then you will know just how lucky you are to live in the UK, if you haven't then you will still be shocked by the occasion racism from a backward minority.
The thing they forget to mention is that much, if not most of the racial abuse was traced back to IP addresses in Asia. None of it is acceptable but social media is international and pining the blame on English fans wasn't entirely fair. The scenes before the final with people forcing their way into Wembley and assaulting staff and player's families were disgraceful though
The problem with the reaction to those racist comments was that it made those comments representative of fans as a whole. The Internet will amplify the extremes and give extremists a voice. I totally understand Micah's frustration at the term woke being bound around. In this case it's absolutely not appropriate, but Southgate invited that kind of criticism and Gary Lineker is very guilty of virtue signalling.
Obviously, zero tolerance to those horrible racist comments, just don't let a small minority of negative comments colour your whole view of England fans.
@@edcleverley9333I'll have to watch that documentary about what happened at Wembley because I didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Of course breaking into a stadium is a serious offence and it very lucky that noone died. There was a weird atmosphere in the country and there was a lawless due to people effectively being locked up in their own homes for months and the first big event had all the trouble makers out and emboldened.
You never really hear about hooliganism in the World Cup, but it always happens at the Euros.

@8:08 I ve said ever since that final , that Southgate put those players in the game far too late . If he’d put Rashford and Sancho on at the beginning of extra time instead of the last minute of extra time they would have scored imo. They didn’t get to touch the ball in the game and then expected to take one of the biggest penalties in English football history cold Turkey when they weren’t warmed up at all and not touch the ball!
A safer, friendly environment is really important. I want my kids to have fun at the match
There should be family areas, but we don't need to santitize the whole game. If my kids hear swearing, I'm not going to cry about it, but I'm going to speak up against inappropriate behaviour like tragedy chanting.
Rubbish, keep the wokeness out
Roy Keane's book in the book shelf in Richard's room 🤣
Starting XI 4-2-3-1 - Pickford, Trippier, Guehi, Stones, Walker; Rice, Trent; Bellingham(CAM) Foden(LW) Kane(ST) Saka(RW)
That front 4 need a supplier so Trent has to start imo
Palmer has to start. Offers more than Saka.
@VoiceOfThe I would agree but saka is not going to be dropped ever
Shearers got his head on upside down. Seriously though, defensively I'm a bit nervous. Hope TAA starts in midfield to give us a bit more width and defensive cover. Come on England, believe in our attacking players and go for it.
Defensively the team isn't strong enough... A lot of pressure on the top half of the pitch to score a lot of goals.
Gary was right with his pronunciation of Gelsenkirchen
No he wasn't. The beginning is right, but "Kirchen"'s first vowel is the same as in the word Beer, and the "Ch" is soft and palatal, as in no English word. Imagine a short air release of back-mouth air.
@@csinibaba37 I understand what you are saying, but I live in Bavaria and here they pronounce many words differently from the rest of Germany. 😀
@@GaryKidd Gary was certainly closer, if not quite spot on. Rated against all the crimes against German pronunciation that Brits will doubtless make throughout the Euros, I'd let Gary off with a warning there.
Imagine a football show that manages to just talk about football. Oh yeah, there is one. It's called Stick To Football. Maybe Gary should just try that.
I don't think England have the best squad purely because of the defence. Pickford is a decent keeper but definitely not the best at the Euros. The back four looks weak, especially at left-back. Apart from Stones (who is a fitness concern), we have inexperienced centre-backs. Not his biggest fan but Maguire is a miss. England's best form of defence has to be attack, especially in the group stages.
I think that's the way we have to play but it makes me so much more nervous. Serbia are great on the counter and the pressure going into that Denmark game needing a win could kill some of the less experienced players. I've got money on england to go out in the group and ill be so happy to lose 20 quid and be proven wrong but I'm scared
Can't play foden on the left either just play him centrally
Much more football insight in the Gary Neville show with Kean and Carragher and Wrighty

nah no one cares about the iceland game
I'm addicted to these guys. I need to visit my therapist!!
If you play Foden in the middle, you displace Trent, unless you go with some version of a back 3. You need Trent on the field. He was the brightest player on the field against Iceland (and he only played 15 minutes), and he scored that ridiculous volley against Bosnia & Herzegovina. He's a free kick and corner specialist. He has an amazing passing range and the ability to score from distance. What else is he supposed to do to prove himself? He basically scores or assists every time he puts on an England shirt. To ignore that because Manchester city, Madrid and Arsenal had great seasons is unfair. For god sake, his Euro qualifying numbers this year (4 games, 1 goal, 1 assist) are better than Bellingham (4 games, 0 goals, 1 assist) and Foden's (7 games, 0 goals, 0 assists) combined! are. What's the kid have to do to get a shot?
You either have to drop Foden then, or play Foden on the left. Or play Saka on the left (he is left footed) and play Trent on the right, not sure why they never tried this as I'm sure Kane would love them two putting in balls for him?
@@jaybe2908i’d happily drop Foden for Trent
@@jaybe2908 Because Saka doesn't play as a classic winger. He plays inverted. It's not natural for him to swing crosses in. If you put Saka on the left, you've effectively limited your goal scoring options. Saka was prolific during the world cup on the right, and all season at Arsenal. You'd be changing something that is clearly working by displacing him.
Kane
Foden. Palmer
Saka Rice Jude Trent
Guehi Stones walker
Pickford
Foden and Palmer tuck in and Jude, Foden and Palmer become support for Kane. Keep Kane central and high up. Saka and Trent provide the width and the crosses. Rice and Mainoo hold the middle.
Take Saka off for Mainoo to switch to
Kane
Foden Palmer
Jude
Rice Mainoo
Walker Guehi Stones Trent
Pickford
When Shaw is fit - Trent and Mainoo can fight for Position next to Rice and Walker goes over to the right.
It's the best use of the squad imo

Should have taken Colwill as cover at CB or LB. Walker and Stones are solid but the rest of the defence don't inspire confidence.
The system isn't working and the injuries mean a major change is needed.
Back to 3-4-3
Pickford
Konza-or-Walker/Stones/Gomes-or-Guehi
Trent/Rice/Bellingham/Saka
Palmer/Foden
Kane
Yep, Saka at left wing back but with Gomez or Guehi taking on most left defensive duties.
Bring on Gallagher or Mainoo and push Bellingham forward if losing control. Bring on Eze or Bowen up front for a change, or Watkin alongside Kane if chasing the game, or Toney if Kane is injured.
Agree Palmer starts.
Nice idea but it’s to late to try that now imo
I'm surprised many people forgot how brilliant bellingham is defensively and how he played in the last world cup for england. He can 100% play the 8 role at full capacity. As gary said he was sort of an emeergency 10 at real madrid this season.
I agree with the team selection the lads have made. I’m really concerned with the back line - I would prefer that Shaw was fit enough to start it he isn’t so Trippier is the next best option. I don’t like England being regarded as the favorites - clearly everything points to France as the favorites. The first priority for England is to win the group. If they can manage that then we should make the final four . After that, all bets are off - we have to overcome our demons especially if we get caught up in a penalty shootout.
France have to be favorites! It’s ridiculous
People keep saying we are weaker with trips at left back but forget he started left back for the first game against Croatia in the last euros, Shaw again came in for the second game. Also Maguire didn't come back until the third game against the Czech. We had similar defensive issues but we were completely fine. Grealish played as a number 10 and Mount was a regular starter only two years ago. We are far better and have nothing to worry about. Iceland game meant nothing. Guehi will play and TAA will play as number 8 alongside Rice and Bellingham against Serbia
Loved that until you said Trent at number 8! He is NOT a midfielder...
@JulieDorsetBelle haha sorry. That's what I'm hearing through rumours that's all. He's been given the number 8 shirt bear in mind.
Love this 🦁🦁🦁
Under the extreme pressure of a penalty shootout most right footers will go to the left and opposite for a left footer ,its the natural thing to do under that pressure
does anyone else wish they just had Alan, Micah and Gary in their corner?
I think players waiting to take penalties on the half way line is good because it keeps them from affecting penalties by speaking/shouting etc to/at the player about to shoot and even the keepers too.
Most important people are always the fans
It was a terrible misjudgement to get Saka et al to come on and kick a penalty more or less off the bench in the Euro 2020 final.
And it was orchestrated by someone who missed a penalty for England, putting them in that situation. He should have brought them on earlier. He is the only one to blame for that.
We haven't got a real manager.
Tend to agree. Players coming off the bench to take a penalty makes me nervous.
With the amount of depth in the squad, it would be a shame if England couldn't at least make it to the final.
Quarters at best.
powerful episode, i stand with this. (not the pro england men's football team stuff (i'm irish))
They probably would’ve picked Trent in midfield after the squad announcement and Iceland performance

@@dtaafe2857 That''s him imitating Gary, not trying to say it how he thinks it's supposed to be pronounced.
I've got a feeling this first game is gonna be difficult, Serbia is a big physical team and aside John Stones in see no aerial threats in the back 4.
When Rashford stepped up to take his penalty, I had absolute belief that he was going to score (more so than even Kane) and I wonder if the players after him would have scored if he had. I cannot understand why he is not in our squad as I feel he always gives his best.
That Iceland game though 😬

when they discuss the CBs, is Lineker wearing Shearer's T-Shirt from last week?
I think maybe a supportive viral campaign to support our penalty takers no matter score or not. I'm suggesting #kindpenalties or #stopspotkickhate or something.
There will be missed penalties and we should show support no matter what
Stop being woke, stop your self loathing and stop cultural Marxism
I’ve said all along who I’d play in the midfield 3 and front 3.
Watching this.. Shearer, Lineker and Micah (changing it just to be different tho) all going for the same.
We’ve got to play to our strengths and Gareth being negative will go like Lineker feels and with two holding midfielders which one of them isn’t a holding midfielder but an attacking RB.
Who can’t defend anyway.
Our team will only win the competition if we play attacking football and “Score more than the oppo”
This team would’ve been great to watch under Keegan, Robson or El Tel
I wonder if any of your selections will change in light of the limp performance vs. Iceland?
The point is how Southgate can arrange the team to get the best out of those players. The other thing Declan Rice has been good at Arsenal when there is a deep laying defensive midfielder.
Let's have it right. They found 98% of the online hate came from foreign accounts. They weren't from English fans. Watch your misinformation, boys.
Is it because Trent plays for Liverpool that you won’t play him
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣He is NOT a midfielder and defensively weak compared to Walker...no brainer...
Yesssss - Bellingham, Rice and Foden midfield - Gordon, Kane and Saka - same as Rooney picked...and me too...🤣they all have the speed and skill to track back and support the defense...
A basic graphic of what the lineup, while they are talking, would go a long way.
I think our lack of quality defensive options is gonna let us down unfortunately
if they played 3 at the back thats one less defender need backup for, and seen as the strength is in attack, theres where they should be top heavy, they are going to get hit on the break regardless
We can only survive the poor defense by going all in for goals but I don’t think Southgate has the balls for that. The Iceland game showed that he was looking to do the same old boring possession based football.
Love Big Meeks making fun of Gaz pronunciation when he doesn't have a clue himself 😂
You need a left footed left winger to help the balance in the team. If you are going to possess the ball for 90 mins against a low block you can’t put two right footed players on the left side it will force you to possess the ball strictly on the right side which you are already too dependent on.
Saka left footed on the right, wouldn’t mind seeing Palmer get some minutes on the left if we’re a few goals up at some point in one of the group stage games. Shaw (if fit) provides a good overlapping option too
It's the same with me and most of the fighters I know
Watching fights is way more stressful than actually doing it
No real nerves locked in a cage or in a ring in front of somebody who has been training to hurt you... But the walk to the cage is the most nerve-racking thing ever 🤣
Love the pod and while I (grudgingly) accept the inevitable ad creep, this episode seemed to take it a step further. The entire first segment seemed to be a subtle advert for EE. While we can all say it's an honourable cause, if you want to have a real conversation about racism in football then how about including initiatives from charities/ non-profits that aren't sponsoring the pod? If not, it's just an extended corporate ad...
I wouldn't start Palmer wide as he's a bit of a maverick and doesn't hold his position and we lose our width and shape. I'd use him as an impact sub in the 10 role
Palmer is too good to be an impact sub.
Remember a few years ago people were saying the same about Foden, that he should be sub.
You need your best players starting.
@VoiceOfThe I agree you do but playing in their correct positions and not just fitting them in the team.
@@kyletomey43
He goes in ahead of Saka for me. Offers more.
Agree - same with Foden on the LW...
Something that doesn’t get discussed is, we can’t just rely on Kane to score the goals we need to win games.
We need midfielders who can contribute and score too, not just assist. We’ve had great midfielders in the past who do this - David Platt, Frank Lampard, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard… they’re so important.
Foden, Bellingham & Palmer are shoe-ins in the midfield for me. The three of them are are most creative players, score goals and can win us games by producing a bit of magic when we need it.
Saka is a very good player, but, he’s not a game-changer / playmaker in the same mould as the three above, he’s an out and out winger & works better as an impact sub for me, due to his pace where he can stretch the opposition team when they begin to tire after an hour.
Fundamentally though, I believe Southgate doesn’t set the team up optimally. He doesn’t play to our strengths. He plays not to lose, rather than plays to win.
We don’t need two holding midfielders it stifles us and holds us back from utilising our best players to play to their full potential.
This is the catalyst for all our problems.
3-4-3: Pickford; Gomez (or Guehi), Stones, Walker; Gordon (or Trippier to form a back-5), Rice, Bellingham, TAA (RM in a MF-4, or RB in a B-5); Foden, Kane (false 9, 100%), Saka (with options for wide players and additional CF). Help me out, folks.
Gary spends all his time going on about how exceptional TAA is, how he's one of the best passers of the ball England have ever had with great vision & England's most creative player but doesn't put him in his team? Kane and TAA are England's most important players, both must be on the pitch as much as possible. Absolutely love Foden but never seen him play that well for England. I found it interesting, the strange difference in tone of criticism (from some quarters, anyway) when Sancho, Saka and Rashford missed their shots against Italy in the Euro finals compared to when Harry Kane missed his in the World Cup semi-final.

Yeah I mainly agree with you guys. Foden on the left makes no sense. Gordon and Saka as wingers and Bellingham as a Hybrid 8/10, with Stones coming into midfield if Bellingham pushes forward creating a box midfield leaving a back 3 whilst attacking. If Stones does do that I think I would prefer Konsa or Gomez at Left back.Alternatively for some games Trent could play instead of Walker and invert again creating the box midfield. Though Trippier is a decent fullback I see no reason why Konsa or Gomez shouldn't play there instead. Arsenal, Manchester and Liverpool often play with a central defender in the left back position. This would also add height and strength at set pieces, which will as always important.
We will get butchered by any decent team with rice and Bellingham as our 6/8. People just trying to squeeze Foden into the 10
@@learntooilpaint Maybe you are right but Rice has been the best DFM in premier league excluding Rodri this year and Bellingham generally played as an 8 for Dortmund. Completely glossing over what underlying emotions create the hatred, what actions create the hatred or what vague brush you're painting as hatred and what that actually means, it will result in nothing. It is far too complex for such a disorganized and lacking in thought campaign. Until we stop living in illusion and dreams like 'stop all hatred' without actually putting thought into why it exists... stupid.
Instead of sitting there saying 'Hate bad, stop hate. Let's put up posters telling people to stop hate and hope it works.' try providing some actual productive discussion as to what hate is, how it is formed, what form of hate you'd stop and how. Without people knowing the important things that make up hate, how are they meant to stop it?
They need a good Fergie talk or something they gotta leave everything on the pitch
come on England ⚽⚽⚽
Important to acknowledge that the hate doesn’t just come from fans. It also used to come from tabloid newspapers driving hatred towards players and encouraging it. From the stuff around Beckham and Rooney when sent off to the disgusting campaign against Raheem Sterling. These publications have responsibility not to drive such divisive narratives
I'd start Watkins tbh, run them ragged a bit before Kane comes on - but what do I know
Nothing it appears
@fionntierney8359 why though? He is a ghost most games.. I get he's a great striker but he doesn't even get taken off.. I've watched loads of games with him where he does nothing.. has a chance and misses.. that's our problem. Great managers change players even if they are great players.. nobody dares ro drop kane because of the backlash.
@@fionntierney8359 Do you need Kane dropping back when Rice and Bellingham are holding mids? Nah not really - I'd double sub rice/watkins with something like mainoo/kane
@@theshiftybloke4672Bellingham getting beyond Kane when he drops in is a scary thought. Let’s have it right though Kane is our best player, starting Watkins over him is a wild shout.
@@User-ei7eo You think Harry Kane is the current best player? I disagree. Best pedigree or career yes. Best current player not a chance.
How abour a back three. Walker, Stones and Guehi. Then could have Trent as RB. Gives Stomes and Trent chances to drift into midfield , and provides more cover and experience at back.
in front Rice and Bellingham, then Foden, Kane and Saka.
4-2-3-1 Thoughts?
Pickford (GK)
Kyle Walker (RB)
Joe Gomez (LB)
John Stones (CB)
Guehi (CB)
Rice (LCM)
Trent (RCM)
Bellingham (CAM)
Saka (RM)
Gordon (LM)
Kane (ST)
I do not understand how a squad with no recognised LB and 1 CB that will be nowhere near world class...can be considered to be the best squad in the tournament???
We don't even have a settled XI that has played together for a couple of games.
Agree!! France have to be favorites
Yes. And the opponents know it and these weaknesses will be targeted
you have to find a place for Trent..the only other player we have who can and will switch play quickly is Kane..don't need our striker constantly in midfield....the rest cant do more than tippy tappy cobblers sideways and backwards..you need that passing ability at any range that can fully use the pace in the team...Southgate will be pragmatic against better sides no doubt will be 4-3-2-1 if he does 3 midfield would only make sense with Trent next to Rice and Bellingham at the top of the three..Foden would go left and Saka on right...at least that way Southgates caution could be quickly turned into attack.....France favourites for me..England semi at best unless Southgate becomes ill and someone else picks the team with some tactical nous.
I've Loved every episode nice One
