One of the best episodes ! Thank you so much for sharing. These really make my day every time I watch them. It's such a nice escape from the pandemic !
Both of these guys would become legends. Joe Gold was the father of American body building and left an empire of Golds Gyms and mentored the great Arnold S. The other guy was inducted into the Body builder HOF.
This reminds me of an episode of Newhart when Dick Loudon had the world’s largest horse on Vermont Today. People called in claiming they had the world’s smallest horse and came to the studio to prove it! 😂
Groucho just sounded so rude to these people and it stood out so plainly, all in the same of TRYING to be funny,,, I have watched just about all these episodes and feel really bad for the people he is having a go at
You're the only one who was offended, the contestants weren't even offended but here some 70 years later you, little Mr. Snowflake gets offended. I think it's you who are the jerk, not Groucho!
Usually Groucho would turn it around after the interview and be very kind. You can hear the change in his voice. I think everyone knew it was an act. Don Rickles on the other hand I never appreciated. I felt his humor was destructive while Groucho's was endearing. He was the loveable curmudgeon living up to his nickname.
Thanks again..watched every one of your Groucho videos.Never tire of seeing the greatest wit of American humour!
You're welcome! I wish I had more time to spend with this channel-- still over 20 episodes left to post.
Well, they did not have TV in Mark Twain's days.
I like his singing.dancing fun. Groucho hilarious. George great and the contestants wonderful.
Thanks so much for sharing these videos. Groucho was great. Loved his tango with Arlene!

Wonderful! One of the best ever editions.
Guests and Groucho on top form!!!
What a delight to see Valentin Fromann, the dancer who appeared with Marike Rokke in 1939!
Groucho was the funniest person ever!
This was a great episode
Thanks for sharing--I may forget to "like" but I've been watching many!
A nice comment like that is worth 1,000 "likes".
Groucho Marx - You Bet Your Life
yer welcome! This show is always entertaining, despite the fact it's around 50-60 years old!
I Love this show.Thank you for posting all the episodes..
Naughty Groucho. "You know why I liked that? 'Cause your slip was showing."

omfg that's gotta be the greatest george fenneman moment i've yet to see! "I don't know how to tango for cryin' out loud." /dyinglaughing
FF11Freshstep Fenneman was brilliant in his work, and absolutely indispensable! :)
very much agree!
Yes, he was undeniably indispensable; but he was also truthful...he did not know how to tango! I wonder if he even danced much... :)

Joe Gold - he the founder of Gold's Gym?
Damn! That woman must be the tallest woman of the year.
Yup that's Joe Gold of Gold's Gym.
Wondering that. And he was!
Well, the good Valentin wasn't a very good singer, but a really good dancer!
Yeah the dancing was nice, she helped a lot. George also dances nice, the men back then were suave movers.
and a delightful fellow when he said "you're not kidding"
Thank you
Joe Gold reminded me a bit of "Joe Isuzu" (David Leisure).
18m48s thankyou George for explaining the game ... at the end of it :)
The women who judged the hunks were cute.
Arlene was cute as a button
Not only cute, but well presented in that episode...
Oooh #2 he's got the 6 pack
They look like in a a candy store at the age of 8 hahah
Groucho was a ham. And let others be the butt of his jokes. Or a dirty old man.
I said Teddy Roosevelt!
Groucho just sounded so rude to these people and it stood out so plainly, all in the same of TRYING to be funny,,, I have watched just about all these episodes and feel really bad for the people he is having a go at
My God...quit judging, he was a genius and treated all people the same.
@@kengodnavec634 right! It's an honor to be jabbed by the great ones like Groucho and Don Rickles. 🤣
