  • Harry Kane is one of the best strikers in modern football, England captain and Tottenham Hotspur legend. But early in his career, it wasn't clear that he would make it at the highest level. Kane had to go through a laborious apprenticeship in the lower leagues but eventually turned into a goal machine. So much so that Bayern Munich splashed out €100 million to sign him in 2023. So how did Harry Kane become the player he is today?

    i remmeber when i was about 18 at uni in 2012 or so having some footy banter with my mates, one of them was a spurs fan someone mocked him for spurs not having any young up and coming talents and he said adamantly "harry kane! he will be class" we all laughed at him...

      I was 18 in 2012 too!
      Since I don't follow the Prem or the Spurs that closely, I didn't see Kane as the potential -_"Spur of the decade"._
      But my sister already knew in 03/04 that Cristiano Ronaldo will become a great superstar.
      She even bought herself a Ronaldo Portugal jersey with the number 17, since at that time Luís Figo was still playing and carried the number 7.
      She was damn right! While I supported Greece in the EUROs final, she cheered for Portugal and C.Ronaldo. Who broke out in heavy tears after the lost final at home.

    Harry Kane's decision to leave England, alongside Jude Bellingham, should serve as an inspiration. If England ever wants to break through from its past darkness, it must let players to go abroad rather than overpaid clubs keeping them in.
    France has done pretty well on it.

      The Premier League is one of the best leagues in the world. It's not for any reason British players don't want to leave. When you know players are coming from everywhere to play in the Premier League how motivated are you going to be to leave England. There's only two leagues that would fit which are the Series A and La Liga. If you're not playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona in Spain it's like a failure. "Why did you go in the first place?" that's the question you ask yourself as a player.

    The fact he’s proved himself the best without a trophy is a testament to his talent ,his individual awards says it all. If Arsenal had of recognised his talent he’d of won titles with them ,if he’d of gone to city he’d be a treble winner, and if spurs had of invested more he’d probably have a champions league medal. Kane will be remembered not for his team’s trophies but for the great individual player he is. ( just like all the other greats that are never forgotten) It will be almost impossible if he manages to swerve another trophy.

    Pochettino deserves a lot of credit for believing in him. In 2014 Kane had just completed an unexceptional loan spell at Leicester followed by an ordinary one for Spurs, there was little to indicate he would become good. It looked as though Pochettino would maintain faith in the struggling Soldado but he trusted Kane, who duly delivered.
    Also he comes across as a really good person, strong athlete, super fit and strong, fast, capable of doing anything you want of a striker. I am more impressed by him than by someone like Lewandowski because Kane can drop deep and play laser passes to support players, he is extremely unselfish. I can see him outscoring Lewandowski in terms of ratio in Germany.

And what makes him a legend in my opinion is that despite having been offered more money to join a PL rival he instead left abroad for less. His nature would not allow him to play Against Tottenham in that league and that is legendary in the football of today.

    This what England has over German in youth development, North East London where Beckham and Kane grew up is an extremely diverse multicultural so playing schools football in this part of London was like playing World Cup football, that is why so many England players grew up in that area. Beckham and Kane both played for Chingford School and they were a mid-table school in the region, so it shows how much talent England missed out on. Back then connections got you trials with big clubs, but that has change in the last 10 years and become more talent based and that is why England have become much stronger with better young players.

    He's a great player. Brilliant.
    But let's be frank, it's the German league. Only 2 decent teams in it. It's like the French League. Poor with such a gap at the top.

    I bet Harry loves playing in front of megaloud noisy fans and intense atmospheres every week in the Bundesliga. Unlike at Spurs and all the English premier league grounds where the players on the pitch make more noise than the fans in the stands! 😂😂

    I wonder why he left the worlds greatest all time football league, the epl and went to germany?? okay english fans are begining to come to their senses and realize that there is and always been football outside england and that you can play anywhere and be great period. Totenham are an epl team but have not won any major tittles in more than 50yrs.

      @dwkickoff  6 месяцев назад +1

      @bepsolo Maybe he was tired of playing in stadiums with poor atmospheres? And wanted to play in a league where football belongs to the fans?

    • @neilboulton9813
      @neilboulton9813 6 месяцев назад

      I think you are fully aware that all seater stadium has affected atmospheres in English stadiums which prior to this German fans always used to comment that we had the best atmosphere across the continent. As you know we created football terracing before there was even organised football in Germany, and hopefully safe standing can re-create this. As to football belonging to the fans I am not so sure Bundasliga clubs listen that closely, even with fan representation on the boards. However I would ensure far more fan representation in the boardrooms of England. As it would not be possible for these clubs with their huge values to realistically ever be totally fan owned, unless a bright spark like you could come up with answer? As to fan power I think you will find it was not in France, Spain, Italy or Germany that killed off the European Super League it was huge backlash across the spectrum in England that made those all powerful owners to re-think.

      Kane went to Germany because Levy was not willing to entertain any offer from English clubs. If there was that option, he would never leave for Germany. 😂

    • @bepsolo
      @bepsolo 6 месяцев назад

      @@jmphuhuck9735 You are missing the point, Kane left spurs because because he wanted to win something, spurs have not won major tittles in a thousand yrs and were never going to win one that is why kane left for a team he thought he had a great chance to win one or more tittles. Lewandusky had won several tittles with bayern, where he he has had his most successul career. During contract talks with bayern, they didnt want to let him go but when barca came calling he couldnt say no, as usual. remember kane has been thinking about moving to a team that he can win tittles, as there was talk of him going to manu but spurs will never sell to a PL rival.
