Basically the way I recommend it is get to the objectives and then you're chillin' I put a biologist in charge of 6 aggressors. Stoic defender. So they get 6+ FNP, Lethal hits, and the biologist can potentially get oc 18 with rigid discipline. So I put them in a land raider crusader to get them to no man's land. Captain in Gavis leading 10 man heavt intercessors so you can clap back when shooting or being shot. A few more heavy intercessor squads for good measure. Some inceptors, scouts, jump pack assault intercessors, and infiltrators to focus on secondaries while I babysit objectives. And then i run eradicators Tor Garadon(the dude can single handedly pick up whole models) a vindicator and whatever else I may need depending on what army I'm fighting. Ridgid discipline, not one step back, and the strat that gives sustained hits are super useful
I have been trying three 10 man Heavy Intercessor bricks. They can move up to an objective and stay there. Las Fusil Eliminators are great. You can Infiltrate them at the start of the game and have them positioned along firing lines. I'm going to try the list with two Gladiator Lancers and one Repulsor Executioner with Laser Destroyers. See if I can snipe targets from across the map.
Great video thanks - I run two squads 10 heavy intercessors and advance/shoot my way onto two primary objectives and then camp there. Firestrike servo-turret with las-talon on the home objective always does well for the points, so does devastator squad with lascannons and a librarian to keep them from dying. Only thing is my brick of 10 assault terminators, lysander and an ancient in terminator armour (my centre midfield) don't get buffed at all by the detachment. Also - would love a new Lysander model- overdue
Tbf pretty much 80% of the infantry has the heavy keyword. If they gave the plus 1 to wound as long as the unit did not advance. and also made hail of vengeance 1 CP like it is in Dark Angels it would be a good detachment.
Hey! Nice video! I'm looking to create my first army, so I kind of missed like an accurate recommendation of an army, yeah I know you listed the units but like to how many to take from each and what to equip them with. But otherwise, great video!
Depends entirely on the armies in your local scene. The general rule is 1-3 of scouts and/or jump intercessors. Damage dealers you're looking at 2-3, point scorers 1-2 characters just the 1. Tanks are as many as you can fit in really.

Sounds like you're really leaning into durability. Do you find you get stat checked often?
Boys in yellow need some love. Too immobile to really play the missions well and lack the damage if they don't stand still.
I feel like that's why the list is taking a lot of infiltrating infantry that can start somewhere optimal to stand still
@thomasboudreau4246 yeah, the problem with that is that too many of those units either don't hit hard or are squishy.
nice video
@@BillyBigBollocks-u7g thanks
They've got great rules until you realise they have to stand still and that not a lot has the heavy keyword.

Boo Imperial Fists - Small Willy Energy!
Jokes
This was insightful
It's clsoe to being useable. Give Centarions heavy keyword!
A couple more units with heavy would help
Long range heavy weapons.
Out of movement-phase movement.
Heavy Intercessor squad.
Eat your heart out Ravenguard. Fists are the real phobos troops.
Haha shhh don't say it too loud
No Tor garadon?
He just doesn't really fit that well
